One time a girl in the flute section got mad at a guy for teasing her and chased him out into the hall hitting him with her case, (the guy was in orchestra and this was after a concert) we all teased him about getting beat up by a girl (multiple times too, and he was over 6 feet tall). We all thought he was a jerk so nobody cared.

Let's see strange things I've done wiht my flute the worst I think is useing it as a light saber (all flutes have done that at some point or should its totally fun) I also put christmas lights on it for our christmas parade. But I think the funniest thing I've seen came from our drummers. Our BD had been riding them hard and making them mad so every practice they would beat the drums extra hard and break holes in the heads until finally she said if another one broke she wasnt paying to fix it well our one of our captain didnt listen and he ended up playing his drum with one of the heads missing at a game lol needless to say after hearing him play badly she fixed it. (he played those drums that are connected together theres like four or so I dont remeber the name lol I am a flute player after all sweatdrop )

On time, my brother and his friends were being so mean to this one girl who plays tuba. They were planning on ways to play a joke on her and my brother suggested putting chille on her mouthpiece. Well, my dad grows these really hot and spicey chille peppers in the backyard so my brother got some of them and smeared them all over her mouthpiece before class started. When they were going to warm up, she started to play, nearly threw her tuba on the ground, then ran out of the band hall to a bathroom to drown herself with cold water.

One time during Concert band our one trombone player had a solo and it was a really stupid piece to that didn't even go with the rest of the song. So anyways the trombone player who is a total joker decided that it would be hilarious to just play whatever. So as she was playing she was going really fast and she hit her stand, the stand fell and she ended up hitting the bass clarinet player in the back of the head and knocking her out. It was funny, its a good thing the bass clarinet player was only knocked out for a few minutes. sweatdrop

My BD throws her pencil or rod(or whatever she uses, it changes) at people in the band who are talking. It's been thrown at me a couple times.
There are 2 Trombone players who took these little green plastic signs from the super market and connected them to the back of there instruments. one says "snickerdoodle cookies" on it.

flute: taking the head joint and sticking your finger in it and sliding it back out-like a glissando taking the head joint off and setting it aside, then blowing it in the other pert of the flute like a brass player

I don't know if this counts but my friend puts his mouth piece (trumpet) in his mouth and acts like he's making out lol. As for me, I put my reed (Saxaphone) and massage it as if I were frech kissing lol. They say it's wierd, I say it's practice. rofl

Well, we do war with our clarinets on the feild, then we do shadow wars with them, light saber flutes are a must, freshmen year I got my arm stuck in my friend's baratone and I now stab people with the floor stand of my bass clarinet.

(he played those drums that are connected together theres like four or so I dont remeber the name lol I am a flute player after all sweatdrop ) this reminds me of a story. we were getting ready for a parade in our city. we were doing chords and one of them are called space chords (random notes played by everybody). Our BD does hand signals with space chords (softer, louder, which is done gradually or slowly) he was doing that when he took a drum stick and pretended to do the light saber thing and we were the noise of the light saber. then he asks one of the flute players if they want to join him in battle. no flute did, but one of our clarinet players did and she started doing it. the next practice she actually brought those plasic light sabers and they did it again. rofl

we were taking a water break during a marching practice. my brother (he graduated last year) was throwing a frisbee around with two other guys when it almost hit a bird. seeing this, one of our snare drummers takes his drum stick and chucks it at the same bird and almost hit it, the bird dodged it. rofl rofl
