Lightface nodded, and bet her head in grief still. "Mrrr..." She mumured. "Diamondpelt and Mousepelt will tell her about the Clans instead of us. She'll learn from them."

Hawkpaw listened to the others, never taking his eyes off of Minxpelt. Hawkpaw nodded silently. Hawkpaw finally took his eyes off of Minxpelt's body, and looked over at Lightpaw. Lightpaw looked so sad, Hawkpaw slowly got up and walked over to her. Gently nuzzling her side, and placing his tail on her back Hawkpaw sat with Lightpaw for awhile.

Lightface lifted her head up half-heartedly when Hawkpaw left, but bent her head again. She sat down beside Minxpelt, and began to groom her again.

Mousepelt wanted more than anything to stay with WindClan. Her heart ached to help bury her, but she knew her duties. She was a part of StarClan now. It was something she would have to get used to. Before getting up she looked over to Hazelpaw. She wanted so badly to be there to comfort her. Mousepelt rested her muzzle on Smallstar's head before rising. "Let's go and welcome Minxpelt." she whispered to Diamondpelt. "Goodbye Smallstar, goodbye Lightface. We will take care of Minxpaw; fear not."

Lightface nodded. "Goodbye..."
Minxpelt looked down. Was she alive, she was standing....but, no, the others still looked ached with grief. She glanced down. Her body, her body was resting there. She noticed her paws and forelegs were tinged with stars. She glanced around, and saw two other cats that seemed to notice her. She walked towards them, and mewed solemnly, "Am I going to...to StarClan that Lightface and Smallstar talked about?" She glanced back over her shoulder, and her heart began to feel grief too. She would never see them again, ever. They had tried so hard to make her live....She shook her head. "A-are you from WindClan?" Diamondpelt nodded miserably. "I am Diamondpelt, former medicine caat and Lightface's mentor. We are sorry, but you must join StarClan now." She glanced at Mousepelt, and mewed again, "We'll take you there now." She began to walk towards StarClan, and Minxpelt followed, a little confused.

Smallstar felt the presence of the spirit-cats leave and brushed Lightface with his tail. "It wasn't your fault. There was nothing any of us could have done," he said, not expecting her to let go of the guilt that she felt.

Lightface looked at Smallstar, still unhappy. "Yes it was...I should've kept by her, keep helping her...I let my guard down..." She suddenly felt tired, but couldn't go to sleep, because of the vigil.

Mousepelt nodded in greetings to their newest arrival. "Greetings Minxpelt," she mewed quietly. "I am Mousepelt, a former warrior of WindClan. Diamondpelt and I have sat with WindClan and grieved, but now it is time to come to your new home... in StarClan." she choked on her last words. She began to walk back up to the stars, glancing back at her old home. She caught sight of Smallstar and nodded. I will visit you again... I'll will make sure that Minxpelt is safe.

Diamondpelt nudged Minxpelt forward, casting a glance at Lightface, and mumured quietly, "Goodbye." She began to follow Mousepelt, keeping Minxpelt in front of her.
Minxpelt shook herself. "S-StarClan?" She wondered, mystified. The place Lightface and Smallstar had talked about. "I-Is there other people in this StarClan?" She didn't wait for an answer before she glanced at the stars. They seemed closer, and in a moment, Minxpelt had entered StarClan,

lilypotter1234 Lightface looked at Smallstar, still unhappy. "Yes it was...I should've kept by her, keep helping her...I let my guard down..." She suddenly felt tired, but couldn't go to sleep, because of the vigil. "You could not have known that her spine and rib were damaged. Even if you had known, there would be nothing any one of us could have done. Not you, not me, not her." Smallstar brushed her soothingly with his tail. "She will watch over us in StarClan. Minxpelt will never die."
And what Smallstar said was true. Minxpelt lived on.

(Minxpelt lives on!)
Lightface mumured, "I shouldn't have let her move. It might've moved some of her broken bones..." She brightened a bit. "Maybe Minxpelt will visit us in a dream some time to say a prophecy..."

Lightpaw nuzzled Hawkpaw back. Taking comfort in the soothing gesture. When he sat down beside her she was silent. This must be terrible for him. How could any cat accept this as their future? To watch cats die and take all the guilt onto themselves. She could hardly stand the guilt that was coming off of Lightface in waves. It was horrible. It made her feel guilty. She was grateful that she didn't have to become a medicine cat herself. But she then admired and resected Lightface and Hawkpaw more for being brave enough to take on such a great responsibility. She moved just the slightest bit closer to her friend as if to comfort him as she thought this.

Lightface still groomed her, while grief still engulfed her. "Hawkpaw...this must be terrible for you...your first death...."

Hazelpaw stared off into the distance. She couldn't take it anymore. The smell of guilt made her nose cringe, and she saw her clan huddled so close together. She dugs her claws into the earth and got up. "I need to leave..." she mewed. Hazelpaw's eyes were empty and the haunting memories of her mothers death flashed in her head. She needed to leave camp for awhile. She turned and ran quietly, yet quickly out of camp. She had expirenced too many deaths in the past moon. She just wanted to escape it all, and more than anything, she wished that she wasn't so alone...

Smallstar murmured to Lightface, "Move her body to the center of the camp for the vigil. I'll be back shortly." He got up and followed Hazelpaw out of camp and through the territory to where he caught up to her, his broken leg silently screaming at him to stop.
"Hazelpaw," he murmured, "I know this must be hard on you because of the death of your mother." He paused, trying to find the words. "Even though they are no longer here, though, they wont ever leave you. Not Minxpelt, not your Mousepelt. They are in StarClan now, watching over you. Do not turn away from their deaths, if one can call it that." He ran his tail comfortingly over his ear.
