Elros gazed down at Donovan impassively, his cold blue eyes expressionless as he looked at him.
"Indeed," he commented softly, slowly. He blinked slowly and turned his gaze back towards Lin once more. "So we have a little planner here, do we?" he murmured. "Interesting."

"Okay," Cindy eyed the potatoes and reasoned that at least it wasn't as much as it would be back home. She moved to help transfer some of the potatoes.
She smiled as she dumped some of it in.
"It's nice to be able to help without needing help," she murmrued absently.

"I'm not plotting," Lin protested innocently, "I am thinking...."
Indeed, she was thinking maybe she would like to spend time with him, and talk to him.
Donovan coughed, "Well," he motioned to the barracks, "Shall we go in then?" he glanced at Elros, "You were probably headed out, but if you have any questions feel free to join us."

"Oh?" Haradhel looked at Cindy, curious. "Help without needing help?"
She turned once more and started washing the leaves that were in the third pot.

Elros nodded at Elrohir. "My Lord has already answered all of my questions," he replied to Donovan softly. "I was about to make my midday rounds and check on everyone, but I thank you for your offer."
He nodded politely and put two fingers to his forehead and bowed. "Until we meet again," he murmured, and straightened and headed slowly off towards the trees.

"It's hard to explain unless you have seen it for youself," Cindy replied, "But most of the children that Mom adopts grows in stages, it often means that we tend to grow in a faster rate, but we also just gain height and physical maturity suddenly within a small moment of time."
She remembered her last visit after all, poor Ulani, hopefully she wouldn't grow and scare anyone on this trip neither.
"But as a result we all mentally mature faster, for the longest time I hadn't grown at all, so I was a young woman in a child's body. It's really hard to help out in the kitchen when you need a chair to reach everything."

Donovan nodded, "Until then," he murmured.
Lin peered out of the Donovan's pocket to watch Elros leave, he was quite calm she thought.

Haradhel nodded her understanding. "I see," she murmured. "Yes, that would be a bit of a hindrance. I can't say I know what it's like, I've always been tall ... I think I was your height by the time I was six. Of course, I wasn't allowed to help out in the kitchen until I was eight, but still ..."
Elrohir waved to Elros, then turned back to the others. "Well, then, the barracks," he nodded, and opened the door for them.

Cindy giggled, "Well I noticed that compared to most people I know back home, everyone grows up to be quite a bit taller," Cindy murmured, "I mean, when I first met Aliya I found out she was nine, and the idea that someone at nine was as tall as Triton was a bit of a doubletake. We don't have people that tall in our family that often, the closest that will probably get to it is Feng and Ryu, since they are still teenagers."

Donovan walked in taking a look around, while keeping a hand on Lin so she wouldn't crawl out and wander off. In a place that was a home for fighters, she would just do that if given half the chance.

"I think Aliya just might end up taller than I am," Haradhel smiled ruefully as she added the leaves to the potatoes, then moved the large pot over to the stove. "Though not as misproportionately, thankfully."
She added a lid to the pot, then wiped her hands on her pants. "So. That's the hard bit done," she murmured, turning to clean up the peels and the dishes.
There was a hall directly in front of the door, that led to a T-intersecting hall only a short ways ahead.
"It's very simple in here," Elrohir explained. "Built like a series of apartments. Many of the men, after all, will be having their families here, and those who have no families can share - it's easier to share with a few than a lot."
As they reached the end of the first hall, he stopped them and pointed to the right. "This side has the night watchers," he said quietly. "They'll be fast asleep right now." Then he beckoned for them to follow him and headed down the hall to the left.

"What's left?" Cindy inquired as she helped gather up the peels.
She wondered if this would be used to help feed the plants or something later. Even though she was sure there was no such thing as a small vegtable garden here, after all this was a massive operation.

Donovan nodded, made sense since this was hopefully a permament settlement, at least a settlement longer with the time difference. He followed Elorhir towards what he assumed to be the place for the day watchers then.
"This place is going to be interesting when children in both forms start appearing," he murmured.

"Just let everything cook, and then mash the naekeurtsl in with the potatoes," Haradhel smiled. Then she laughed. "Have you ever had green potatoes before?"
Elrohir grinned proudly. "Aye, Haradhel and I are excited ... nervous, of course, but excited. As for the workers, well, most of them are single. A few have sent away for their wives, but I don't think any of them have big families yet. If necessary we could always expand, as well, really ... though I think our next hiring will be some women to help Haradhel around the house. She's fine for now, but once the children come - ours or those you rescue - she'll need help."

Donovan nodded, "I know... just how much effort it is to have a lot of children around the house. If it weren't for the fact a good lot of Kara's first children before I had arrived had grown up, I would have had a better arguement for her to get more help."
He didn't at the moment, the children were fine, and they matured fast and they kept each other busy. Kara could easily have children running around her office while she worked.
