As Iana slipped her customary daggers into her attire she had whispered a small concealing charm, something she made habit before work. Since she worked at a hospital, security was moderate and all knew that a nurse's aid walking in with potential weapons wouldn't sit well with anyone. Jigantro's words echoed in her head, You know you shouldn't let your guard down so easily. Had she really? Well, she had strategically opened certain windows so the vampire couldn't reach her while she slept, though she wasn't sure why she worried. In truth she had a quiet paranoia instilled in her by her father. If the man in her living room couldn't tell, then she was better off. This apartment was all she had in New York. Why shouldn't she care what became of it? Really his words baffled her at times.
Shaking away slightly confusing and very frustrating thoughts, Iana left her home after glancing at Jigantro one last time. Surely, he wouldn't be there when she returned. She had been truly surprised that they had even crossed paths again. Then again, he wasn't the first to show up at her home. Her mind briefly traced over her encounter with the changeling's leader, but then immediately returned to the present. Though today's shift would be a short one, Iana knew that her prior absence would grant a bit of the grunt work.

"Ah, how true." Yuuki said, between bites of her own waffle. "There is absolutely no shortage of good food, in any sense." Chewing silently, she finished the rest of her waffle, and stood up to bring her plate and Destiny's back into the kitchen, as both of them had nothing but some syrup left on the plates. Coming back into the room, she sat back down beside Destiny, and grabbed her tea cup from the table, leaning back down against the couch.
"Well, I have nothing to do yet. I was thinking on spending some of the day researching that spell for the biologists, but I'm starting to think that I don't know how much that will help, considering what seems to be going on with Constance right now. To be honest, it's all getting kind of confusing." Yuuki sighed again, she seemed to be doing that a lot nowadays. "So I'm free for you to do anything you want with me. As for Constance, she's only come to NY recently right? Something sure seems to be going on here. It might be good to get to another branch for a day or so. Do you want us to go? I can fly us somewhere if need be, and I'm starting to improve my teleportation... IT might be better than emailing anyway." Yuuki gave a sly grin to her friend beside her.
"But in any case, we should start looking into more of the pages, since they still make no sense to me. Aidan didn't leave that page here did he?"

"Yuuki, you dork. I burned the page remember." Destiny said playfully pushing her freinds shoulder.
"At any rate we do need to get in contact with another branch. I was thinking either New Orleans or Miami. I got an E-Mail from the San Fransisco saying that all the vampires seem to have vanished. Even after a few safe house raids, not one was found. There are some rumors floating around out there that a powerful which is helping them travel, to guess where."
Destiny stood up and motioned for Yuuki to follow her into the bedroom so they could continue talking and she could get dressed.

Yuuki stood there with a stupid look on her face, laughing cheerfully as Destiny pushed her shoulder.
"Sorry, you know me, I was so tired then, don't complretly remember everything..."
She listened then, bringing her legs toward her on the couch.
"Well, that's probably a good idea. We haven't made contact with those branchs of the company in awhile, and with everything going on, it's probably a good idea that the two top 'executives'" she made the quotations signs with her hands "contact them"
What did shock Yuuki was what Destiny had to say after that.
"What??!! Your joking. That's not good at all." She stood up and followed Destiny to her bedroom. "If they're leaving there's only one place for them to go, and that's here." She said gravely, saying aloud what both of them had been thinking. "If they're all coming here that probably means Constance herself is summoning them, they wouldnt go for anyone but their queen. Arg! IT all makes no sense, especially after that 'peaceful' conversation you had over the night."

Destiny started to dig through her closet for some clothes and came out in blue jeans, a purple tank, and a black hoodie.
"Well I had been meaning to ask you if you noticed a sudden increase in numbers lately. But that aside, the vampires have been hostile for what, the last four or five centeries as far as we can tell from history and research. I honestly don't buy this crap of peace or of any kind of deal for that matter. There has been a balance all these years and it seems like they are always the ones trying to throw a few more grains of rice on their end of the scale."
Grabbing a brush she quickly brushed her hair and then sat on the bed in front of Yuuki and waited for her to french braid it.
"In light of all this I guess somethings will never change. I still can't do a damn thing with my hair."

Yuuki stood leaning on the wall nearby the door as she quietly watched and listened to her friend.
"It's strange to say the least - considering they are definitely trying to tip the scale in their favour by summoning, it seems like ALL American vampires here. We should probably even contact our Rome and Paris branchs to see if the same thing is happening over there. We've almost gotten enough truth "peace talk" or not, that the vampires are in fact gathering. Unfortunately, just based on their characteristics, that can lead to nothing good. The balance is being upset, its so great at times that I can almost feel it. As much as I'd like to believe it, I'd have to agree with you. Somethings up and they're most definitely not willing to stay silent and in peace."
Coming up behind Destiny as she sat down on the bed, she flopped onto the bed herself to sit behind her best friend as she ran her fingers through her hair.
"I wouldn't worry about it too much, I'm not going anywhere, so you'll have access to Yuuki's famous french braids as much as you like." She smiled and laughed quickly before getting to her work, taking pieces of her friends hair to begin to tie them into a tight french braid.
It wasn't too long until she had finished, giving Destiny a playful push to show she was finished. "Well, now Dest, you're all ready for the day. What's the plan? Do we want to head to headquarters or stay here?"

Dramatically swishing the long braid over on shoulder she smile.
"Damn good thing too. If I were a vampire and I saw me walking towards them with a bad hairdoo, I think I would die of laugher instead of a stake."
Sitting back on the edge of the bed she started to pull on her shoes and lace them up.
"Well I think headquarters would be a better place to start anything that here. Hopfully Aidan will be there and he might be able to help out with the Roman branch. His sister does not like me too much I don't think."
*** 1/2 hour Later at Headquarters***
Plopping down onto a chair Destiny swiveled around a couple of times before stopping infront of her computer.
"Where do you think we should head first?" She asked Yuuki.

Yuuki laughed at Destiny's comment.
"Well, having the braid always makes it better. That, and its a lot better than if it was flowing all around the place. Thats why I cut my long hair all those years ago."
Watching silently as Destiny began to put on her own shoes, she quickly went and grabbed her own, and sat outside the door of Destiny's room to put on and lace up her knee-high combat boots, making sure the small daggers in place near the top were still there and covered.
"Hm...headquarters is probably the best idea. And if we need to contact the Roman branch, is most likely, hopefully Aidan will be there so his sister doesn't flip out again, she got a little annoying last time when all she did was fume about g-d knows what." Yuuki stood up, brushing off the bottom of her short black skirt and walking towards the front door, noticing Destiny behind her.
"Shall we go then" she asked, holding the door open for her friend.
*Half-an-hour later*
Watching as Destiny headed into her portion of their joined office space and plop herself down on her desk, Yuuki soon did the same, sitting down on her large comfy black chair in front of her own desk. Logging on quickly to the server and accessing her email. Hearing Destiny's inquiry, she answered quickly, bringing up the map of the world, with various red dots located on it
"Well, I say we should start at the branches around the US first, and go up to Toronto's branch first, since those are the ones in the immediate areas that would be the most important. Then we should check out Paris, London and wait for Aidan to check up on Rome. Then we could head to Asia to check Hong-Kong and Tokyo's branches. It shouldn't take too long to get calls into each of the out-of-continent branches, and I could work on teleporting us to Toronto or Miami, to get a feel for whats going on there. It all depends. What do you think?"

After hearing the door click from when Iana left the room, he could finally relax and get some sleep. He slowly began to nod off, after he turned the light off, with his hands under his head for support.
-------*-Half hour later-*-----------
Jigantro suddenly awoke by the ringing of a phone from a different room than he was in. Hearing it a different ring from a normal phone, he sat up, realizing that the ring was coming from a cellular phone. "Does she always leave it, or is she coming back. I really hope it's the first one." He said this aloud, covering his face with his hand.

((Jigantro the swords master, technically it's Godmodding to assume that Iana left her cellphone, seeing as that dictates my character's actions. Normally I would ask you to change your post, but I'm feeling lenient and this isn't my RP after all. As a future warning, other's may not let even the slightest instances of Godmodding slide. Try to not let it happen again.))
Her assumptions were correct, the head nurse was more than ready to pile the menial tasks onto Iana as soon as she arrived. The young witch could already tell that today was going to long and meticulous. As she worked away, checking charts, cleaning linens, making beds and so on, Iana found her mind continuously drifting from the present to the past and the supposed future. It wasn’t until after her last break that she found she had to focus on the job before her.
Iana was set to intensive care immediately after a patient on the verge of death was brought in from what should have been a fatal car accident. The loss of blood was enormous and she wasn’t sure if even her abilities could help, but she tried nevertheless. Letting her healing power seep into the patient, mending the tissue and consequentially allowing the wounds to clot, Iana knew that she had successfully saved another life. She was thanked by the head nurse for her efforts and reminded that no one else was to know of what just occurred. ‘Things never change,’ Iana thought as she was told she could rest and then leave for the day.
While in the break room, she attempted to fish her cellphone out of her pocket, intent on checking for any missed calls. ‘Now I know I carry this thing around everywhere. How could I have forgotten it,’ letting her own berating pass over, the young woman let herself regain her energy. It would take a bit before she would feel well enough to make the trek back home.

Aidan pushed open Destiny's office door and leaned on the doorframe.
"Well, well, I haven't seen you two lovely ladies for a while now. And forgive me for my bad habit of evesdropping but what's this I hear about me going to the Roman branch?"
Walking in he sat down on one of the couches that was on the side wall.

Looking over at Aidan sprawled across the couch she smiled. She never really though about how much she missed having him around. The time that they were more like brother and sister was what she really missed. When they broke up after trying to date for a year was when he left to go back to Romania. Destiny was never able to get close to anyone without feeling like she was being unfaithful.
"Well it has been awhile, but it's not like you are not bad at disappearing either."
Looking back at Yuuki she laughed, stood up and streatched. Well it's getting dark already and the more I think about you flying around while leeches are coming from all corners of the globe, the more I think that the computer is our best friend.
Just then a light beep came from her computer and from the computer on Yuuki's desk.
"You've got mail."
Sitting back down she opened the fild and read out loud. The first email being from the San Fransisco branch.
Destiny, We got the two pages of the diary that you sent us and they are under security one lockdown. Another note, vampire activity here has ceased compleatly. The crime rate has gone down considerably as have the number of "unsolved murders". We think they are heading your way. Molly in San Fran
"Great, another large city evacuated of bloodsuckers. Yuuki, I think you got all the same emails. Do you want to read the next one?"

Aidan smiled back at Destiny when she looked his way and felt his heart stop in his chest. He never knew what it was about her that made him feel that way. He sat up and watched her as she read the email, all the while thinking to himself.
I should never have left. I was acting like a stuborn teenager. Being around her even as a friend and not more is so much better than being away.
He could feel the irritation coming from Destiny's mind and he wanted so much to reach out to her and embrace her. She always shied away from phyisical contact though. He did not want to chance causeing a larger gap between them. Pushing all his thoughts aside he sat up straight and remained calm.
"Dest, what other branches did you send the pages to?"

Looking back over at Aidan she replied, "I sent one to San Fransisco, one to Las Vegas, one to New Orleans, one to Denver, and one down to Maimi. The rest are still here in our vault."
Then looking back at Yuuki she waited for her friend to get to her email.
"Do you have anything from the other locations?"

"Oh, Hey Aidan. What's up?" Yuuki said to Aidan, still not looking up from her computer screen. She had her email up, and she was rapidly sending email messages to many Lionheart branches around the globe, and each message said the same thing
"So San Fran really is completely cleared?" Yuuki asked. again he eyes glued to the computer, sorting through unread mail. "I just got the same email as well. This does not sound good for us." A beep sounded from the her computer as more messages came into the inbox.
"Wow, that was fast" Yuuki whispered quietly as she scanned each email.
"This isn't good. A message from Ryan in Toronto that says that the vampir elevel has been decreasing steadily over the past year, but in the past two months all vampires have cleared out. He says he assigned a team to follow their tracks and they stopped about 80 miles outside of New York... Hm... That should be close to where we're pinpointed their base location..." Yuuki paused slightly, as she thought on that topic, before two more beeps sounded. "And I just got similar emails from Marie in Paris and Lisa in London, both say that vampire levels have been dropping recently, though there are still small amounts. Its probably harder for them to get over-seas than it is for the vampire communities here to get here. It seems this phenomenon is happening world-wide, and everyone's coming here to join the party. We have one large immigration of vampires on our hands." Yuuki swivelled around on her chair to face Destiny on the other side of the room.
