I honestly can't agree with any of you unless it was sarcasm. Personally I loved the books. Not that I can't claim there wasn't a few things wrong here and there, and the 4th one definitely had a few issues at times, but I liked the books.

I read them all and loved the Twilight Series like any fangirl would, but I think that the concept would have been better in the hands of another author.

No sarcasm here my young friends. I felt it was a horrid abomination, a grim puss filled bloody wound across the face of the writing world.

I thought the sparkling was kind of inventive. They did drink blood, its just that the "main cast" vampires drank animal blood; that part at least isn't too hard to deal with. I won't deny the mary-sue-ish-ness though.

I won't deny I laughed when I read the comic though.

I loved Edward's face in that comic xd
I thought the sparkling was dumb, personally, that took any badassery that was once Vampires right out of the genre.

I thought the explanation made a bit of sense; especially if you think back to the opinions of people a few centuries back.

Anne Rice, before she found Jesus and went ******** crazy. Her book "Interview with a Vampire" is very good and often called the original Vampire book. I highly recommend it.
It was also turned into a movie with Brad Pitt and the then sane Tom Cruise... it's not great, but some people like it.
