Enki snickers very softly as he watches her, not bothering to help because he knows she wants to have fun with this. A soft but light-hearted laugh escapes him as the book falls and hits her on the head before she manages to catch it. As she hands the tome to him, he leans over and kisses the spot where the book hit her before glancing at the cover.

"'The Times of Our Elders,'" he says softly as he glances at it, taking it into his hands and opening to the first page of the book. "It's about the early days of the world as they see it..."

He lets out a small laugh as he gently puts the book back on the shelf before reaching up to lightly cares her beautiful cheek.

"Gladly, my dearest," he sais as he walks along the back wall to the far corner where a small staircase meets them. He leads her up it, following behind before opening the small door found at the top and heads into it. A hallway is on the other end of the door, two doors on either side of the hall and large, wooden double doors at the far end.

"The doors on the side used to be my kids rooms before they grew up and found their own place," he says, almost sadly as he leads her slowly down the hallway. He opens the large double doors on the end and leads her into the chamber inside.

The room is large and domed, a vast, open window is along the outside wall that looks out toward the beach and further to the ocean. A single, small door is on the right-hand wall. Near the center of the room is a large bed with hand-crafted wooden pillars in each corner with a sheer, blue fabric draped over it and what looks like silken sheets adoring the large bed. Next to it sits a large oak desk with pieces of paper and writing utensils including an old ink-well feather pen.

"And this, is my chamber," he says as he closes the doors gently behind them before ushering her into the room.

Enki laughs light-heartedly at her almost childlike enthusiasm as she spins before inspecting the bed and flopping down onto it, spreading herself out on the plush mattress.

"Over many years, yes," he said as he walks toward the bed and leans over it, looking down at her from her side with a large, gentle smile.

"I'm glad you could, my sweet. Wouldn't want you to be uncomfortable in the bed, now would I?" he asks with a snicker before standing back up and beaming down at her.

He smirks as he watches her play about, his eyes admiring her body as she inspects the bed before patting it. He smiles and sits down on the edge of the bed before flopping back onto the pillow and lounging out a bit, his eyes glancing to the side at her.

"Not any longer..." he says softly and lovingly as his eyes meet hers, a soft smile staying upon his face.

Enki can't help but just smirk as she sits up and takes off her boots, cocking an eyebrow a bit as the mismatched socks which are then also removed. He shakes his head a bit at how adorable she can be, he sighs as she lays her head on his chest. He is about to say something as she leans up before she begins unbuttoning his shirt and planting three soft kisses along his chest, each one making him blush and shiver slightly. When she lays her head back down on his chest, his heart beat faster inside it, his arm wrapping tenderly around her shoulders to hold her close to him.

"Much better indeed..."

Enki smiles widely as she sits and rests against his chest, suddenly feeling very content and at peace having her becoming lost in his heartbeat as she is. His fingers gladly interlace with her own, holding onto her small small hand gently as he sighs once more. He leans dow a little as she slowly starts drifint off and kisses the top of her head. It has been a long year for him and he hasn't really had a chance to rest; but here, like this, with her, it only takes him moments before he is deep asleep against her.
