Hm...it was certain without a doubt now. She would not last much longer. Every bit of chakra her eyes took made it difficult to even keep her grip on consciousness. And certainly, as time trickled on, it would become harder and harder to focus. She could see why the clan so emphasized on speed - because the longer the battle draws on, not even their extended chakra reserves would be able to support them. It was difficult fighting to stay awake - perhaps it was only mere pride that kept her from passing out already. Elruda would not be surprised if after this assignment, to finding chakra burns over her body - from further draining chakra from already near de-chakrarized areas.

Still...it was no good. She would have to drop the Byakugan soon. One more chance after this...or else she would risk possible permanent damage to her body. Elruda felt so drained...as if she had done many chakra burn-out lessons. One thing was certain, if she ever wanted a chakra burn-out activity...trying to keep up the Byakugan would be a good place to start... Even so, even so with this failure... She was perhaps a bit more closer to mastering the Juuken. Still at the beginning of the long journey, and still in the future many more frustrations would be waiting...

Elruda closed her eyes for a moment. Heh... So this was her limit now. The last bit of chakra - should she risk it? No...her chakra reserves were unbelievably evenly compatible with the Byakugan. She would only risk falling unconscious, but would not suffer further damage besides minor chakra burns. And so, she willed herself to draw out the last bit of chakra. Her last chance - but this was like how it was in a real battle, too, right? Always standing to the last moment - never giving up. The determination of living or dying - sometimes lies simply within a single choice.

"Yeah..." Her voice came out softly. "I see it..." A small smile at her lips, and then the Byakugan disappeared, lines around her eyes fading, and Elruda's body went limp. She had passed out from chakra exhaustion but had succeeded part of Wrath's demand. It was only a pity that she did not have more chakra to continue...but that was alright...nothing time and training would not cure... And she was smiling, because though it took so long... Her second step in the journey to master Juuken, had been successful. There was still many more trails. Learning to hit the tenketsu nodes her eyes can now see. And of course, breaking her current limit to keep up her doujutsu.

Wrath smiled and gently set her down against the tree he had been forcing her up against. "Well done.." He softly whispered. He walked to the temple steps swaying from side to side ever so gently waiting for Elruda to rest.

Wrath rested for a few hours himself to be sure his chakra was restored and he was running at his very best. Once he felt ready he flung himself up and left the temple, disappearing into the morning mist.

Wrath returned the next morning noticing that Elruda hadn't moved an inch. She must have been tired from training. Wrath began to hope she had rested enough because when she woke he would put her through the same thing again. When he would be finished with her she would either be broken or a chunin.

When Elruda opened her eyes again, it was already morning. She winced involuntarily, the first thing she saw being the piercing sunlight. Her body was still sore from chakra exhaustion the previous night...but it seemed that even while unconscious, her body was able to restore her chakra reserves. Slowly, the Hyuuga heiress pushed herself up and dusted some stray blades of grass which stuck to her clothes. Despite fainting, Elruda recalled last night quite well. She had succeeded in seeing the divination field and the tenketsu nodes of the chakra system. Now, it was time to learn how to attack them.

"How do you feel?" Wrath asked Elruda. The muscles in his legs began to tense just as the muscles in his right arm were. Depending on what she said he would lung at her and continue thelr fight or he would let her rest a little while longer.

"I'm fine." Her response was a bit harsher than necessary as the Hyuuga heiress shakily pushed herself up. But then her body steadied and she began swiftly with the seals for the Byakugan. “Byakugan.” Elruda muttered, the familiar veins wrinkling around her eyes. To her eyes, the color of the surrounding drained, and the Hakke divination field instead became clearly visible. Short, dark blue hair flared for a moment with the increased pressure of her gaze as she slipped into her own Juuken stance - based on the positioning of her Hakke field.

Wrath smiled as Elruda took her fighting stance. He didn't have to surprise her this time. Wrath once again, using the body flicker technique, had appeared in front of his student. He swung up to strike her in the stomach, it had been the technique he taught her the other day. "Lets see if you can maintain your Byakugan in pain." Wrath snickered.

Description of Jutsu: This jutsu was taken from the Kapchico fighting style only known by the Fujiko clan. The user is to strike their opponent four fingers below the belly button where a person's source of chakra is located.

Elruda's face was passive but suddenly, a droplet of blood would trail down the corner of her mouth. Elruda had bit her lip while enduring the pain - but...quite a method, concentrating on another area in pain to mitigate the intense pain in her abdomen. However, she had endured worse. The Hyuuga elders back at the compound were merciless in their Juuken lessons. Her Byakugan did not fade and slowly she reached up her hand to wipe the blood away. And when she had pulled away her hand, she dully eyed the bright red contrasting against her pale skin.

Wrath tossed the girl to the side and tried to wait for her to stand without seeming like he was waiting. "Get up and fight!" he shouted again as he walked toward her.

Elruda may have managed to keep her Byakugan activated - but now the problem was overcoming the pain to counterattack Wrath. She was once again roughly shoved aside but somehow, the Hyuuga heiress found the strength to stand. But her limbs would not further move... Dammit. She had never expected so many side effects to having her central chakra pool attacked. And, that strike wasn't even achieved with chakra. Slowly, she forced her mind to concentrate on the assignment. Juuken relied on speed... On speed instead of physical strength within the strikes. Almost, enough speed to match ranged attacks, yet still maintaining a close distance.
