I don't understand half the s**t that's going on in that fight.
Except that Athena apparently did one thing, then did something else when he did something, or something. The chronological order of events in a grappling fest have never been very clear to me.

That's why I never get super technical with grappling.
Grappling should always just lead to more punching/kicking/etc.

What I read is that she spread her legs when she got around behind him, then he motioned a slick throw, and suddenly instead of spreading her legs ( or super fast immediately after, blending her actions halfway into his actions on both counts ) slid her foot in against his leg.
Personally, I don't have any intention of intervening in that match. As long as you two are having fun and are ok with it, I don't care what you do. I'm just saying that I personally have no idea what's going on. I'm going to sell Grapple no matter who wins, so---
And yeah. Grappling should always be a tussle that leads to more striking ( action! ) or throwing people through things, brawl style. I feel the same way about punches and kicks. I think they should have a more cinematic feel in a fight than a technical RL one, otherwise we'd all be knocking each other out all the time. XP

Am I the only one that noticed, I mention Fiend, and everyone started talking about grappling.
Either I am a good conversation starter, or Fiend is really, that good.

Well, he's in a technical grappling fight, so it leads to reason.. yeah.
That's the extent I use grappling for. Deitric grabs people (to keep punching them), bearhugs them, throws them around, or just manhandles people.
Generally it's meant to give him a better position to keep hitting things. Like what he's doing to Omi. Grabbing head and hair, and just swinging for the fences with his other fist.
