Sells potions and items to hero also buys mysterious shards dropped by monsters, later in the game opens up an arena in which the mc can join and compete for ultra-rare & unique items.

Defiler lvl.=PC Chaotic Good/Evil
When encountered in the "R-226 X" lab, player must decide to recruit/release/kill.
Heals self mid combat by replacing damaged flesh with that of the enemy(Alive or dead) When it attacks it has a starting 5% chance of causing poison, paralize(Can be upgraded to cause more status ailments)
Has aura of fear that causes enemies to suffer an attack penalty when attacking it, unless they are undead(Some party characters may be bothered by it but won't receive any negative effect)
Will only reveal its past and give bonus items if the player does the side missions related to the character.
