Gather around children as Tiger once more shall amaze the masses and make them laugh~
It brings me back, that statement, back to middle school when I was about to get suspended for kicking someone in the chest.
My teacher took my mother and I into her office and carefully explained the situation to my mother, along with my Vice Principle; I had kicked a student in the chest when I got fed up with their constant, sub-par teasing that had been going on for months. I warned the student that I would take action if it continued, and it did, of course. I was all of 13 years old and small in build; who would believe I could do any real damage? Naturally, my being freakishly strong for a girl my size I ended up bruising the kid's chest. Such an weakling he was...
So after explaining the situation, the Vice looked to me and dove into a long-winded speech about the consequences of violence and ended on the same note you did up there,
"In short, violence is never the answer." Being myself, I issued a challenge to said Vice Principle, and entered a battle of wits. I told her,
"With all due respect, ma'am. I have to disagree." My mother, at this point, covered her face with her hand and sighed, for she knew what was coming after I said this. I'm not entirely sure why she didn't stop me at this point... The Vice Principle responded with
"You do, do you?" I said gave her a polite nod and she says to me,
"Miss Walker, despite what you say or how much you would like to disagree. At this school, we do not tolerate such behavior. Out in the real world, violence is never the answer." At this point, I was grinning from ear to ear.
"What is never the answer?""Violence." She repeated then went pale after realizing what I had set her up for. I was a smart-a**, I still am, and by getting her to answer a question with the word
violence in it, I had disproved her statement completely. It was at this point that gave her a curt smile, and a small nod of my head and told her that I'd be in class and left the room, but not before commenting on the various wars that plagued mankind, all for land and rights. Suffice to say I never got in trouble, I think the Vice Principle was too embarrassed after being outsmarted by a kid.
xd Yes. I was a very bold child.
