*Slowking, walks over to the kitchen and find a packet of biscuits and opens them, and then devours the lot*

Slowking: Humm... that was a nice snack

Me: Snack....Snack.... what would you have for lunch then???

Slowking: Hummm... Lunch, that word makes me hungry

Sojiro looks him up and down, deciding whether or not to trust.

Boss, here's my side of Sinji's story. Now you can grade both.

Mission: Get the Tomes of Power!

Mission Specs:
Sinji has enlisted my aid in finding some powerful tomes in a cave in Johto. We are to travel to the cave and find the tomes, then escape while eluding any and all pursuit. Force may be required, so he said.

"I still can't believe you got me into this."
SS walked behind Sinji, Cyndaquil perched on his shoulder. "This is nuts."
Sinji turned and glared. "Shut up, idiot. And who the hell carries their Pokemon on their shoulder? Ash Ketchum?"
SS held up his hand. "BL." He ticked off a finger. "Sojiro." Another. "Suiken." A third. "Myself." Four. "Jason." Five.
Sinji's eye twitched. "THEY DO NOT!"
SS crossed his arms. "Well, I do, and I don't care what you say. Can we just get this over with? IGPX is on soon."
"That show SUCKS!"
"To you, maybe." SS uncrossed his arms. "We there yet?"
"No." Sinji turned back to the path. "We'll be there soon." He flexed his wings. "If someone doesn't keep talking and distracting me." He started walking again.
"Whatever." SS, biting back a retort, followed him. Sinji was getting somewhat irritating since defecting to Team Aqua, but it was nice to have his older brother on the team. Still, SS was 90% in the dark about this mission. Sinji had only told him that they were going after a tome. It had something to do with that green orb BL was using earlier... just thinking about it gave SS the creeps. No powers did truly equal no fun.
The two trudged in silence for a while. SS kept looking up at trees, enjoying the scenery and watching the Bird-types and Bug-types go flying by. He longed to be up there with them, just soaring along, enjoying nothing but the wind and the feeling of floating... and he walked right into Sinji's outstretched arm.
"Hold up." He crouched down. "There are people down there."
And so they were. Down below, in front of the cave they were searching for, was a parked trailer. Yellow light spilled out of the windows, and a small whirring sound eminated from the generator it was plugged into behind it.
"So, I guess we take them out?" SS popped his sword loose.
"Bro, I like the way you think." Sinji smiled, then went into his pack. "But we do this my way right now." He pulled his hand out with several smoke grenades.
"Ah. Let's go, then." SS took two grenades for himself, and the two were off like large bats through the night. He can be such a pain sometimes... SS thought as he flew downwards in Sinji's wake. But he does know how to have fun.
The two half-brothers landed on opposite sides of the doors. On Sinji's signal, SS opened the door a crack and the two tossed their grenades in.
"What the heck?" An unfamiliar voice raised the query.
"I don't ~ GACK!!" The second voice gave way to coughing as the smoke filled the air.
"Go!" Sinji was through the door as he exclaimed his order. SS followed him into the smoke. He immediately picked up on the two scientist's weak energy signatures, and went for the scientist on the right- the one Sinji wasn't after. A quick slash with the dull side of the blade to the back of the neck took him down. Sinji was done at the same time.
"We should look around." SS said, sheathing his sword.
"Yeah. Look for any documents marked 'Classified' or on the topic of 'The Tome of Power'." Sinji suited action to words and began going through the filing cabinets on his side.
"Roger." SS walked over to the desk and began to search. A few minutes yielded nothing whatsoever... save an odd safe.
"Wanna bet it's in there?" SS motioned at the safe, now out in the open floor.
"No bet." Sinji stared at it. "But how to get at the documents... I got it. Stand back." Sinji went into his pack. SS stepped outside, giving his brother room. Approximately two minutes later, Sinji walked out of the trailer, documents in hand. SS peeked into the trailer. The safe had been neatly and quietly blown apart. What else can you expect from a master demolitions expert?
"Follow me." Sinji strode off towards the cave. SS followed right behind him.
The two entered the cave. A faint glow lit the strange glyphs on the walls, showing the indifferent faces of the Unown. SS looked around, then lit up his Ryuujin no Hisaki. Holding it up, he shed some greenish light on the scene.
"Up ahead. We gotta take them out, too." Sinji indicated another glow around a bend.
"I don't think smoke bombs will work this time, either." SS pulled a Pokeball. "Shall we?"
Sinji smiled. "Let's." The two strode around the bend.
The two archaeologists were too absorbed in their work to notice SS and Sinji walking up behind them, but the sound of Sinji kicking out an unimportant part of the ruins (it was actually the molding, which the ancient architects spent much time and effort on) got their attention. The scientists turned quickly, but the S brothers didn't allow them to ask any questions. SS went to up against his target scientist, who had already drawn two of his three visible Pokeballs. He released a Machop and an Aron.
"Go, Stantler and Cyndaquil!" SS tossed Stantler's Pokeball, while Cyndaquil hopped off his shoulder to join the fray.

SS: Right! Cyndaquil! Start off with Flamethrower on that Aron, and Stantler, Psychic that Machop!
Scientist: Karate Chop, Machop! Aron, Metal Claw!
*The four attack each other. Machop goes in close for Karate Chop, but Stantler's Psychic cause him to not only take damage, but be thrown off course. Aron also gets close for Metal Claw. Cyndaquil dodges but takes some damage, but lets go with a large Flamethrower.*

Machop: 70-20= 50
Aron: 50-15= 35
Cyndaquil: 45-7= 38
Stantler: 73

SS: Now, Cyndaquil! Quick Attack! Stantler, Psychic again!
Scientist: Aron, Protect! Machop, Double Chop!
*They go at it once again. Cyndaquil bounces off of Aron's Protect, while Machop goes flying into a wall. The damage from the Psychic attack plus the wall damage (it hit its head) causes it to faint.*

Machop: KO
Aron: 35
Cyndaquil: 38
Stantler: 73

Scientist: Grr... Go! Unown!
SS: Stantler, Stomp on that Unown! Cyndaquil, Flamethrower!
Scientist: Aron, Protect again! Unown, Hidden Power!
*Unfortunately, Protect doesn't work in succession. Aron gets wiped away by the Critical Hit Flamethrower, while Unown gets Stomped. It then retaliates with Hidden Power, knocking Stantler back.*

Aron: KO
Unown: 48-7= 41
Cyndaquil: 38
Stantler: 73-5= 68

SS: Right, now, boys! Take that Unown down! Use Flamethrower and Psychic!
Scientist: Uh... use Hidden Power?

*The Pyschic and the Flamethrower converge on the Unown at the same time, throwing it into a wall. The funny thing is that it is in a spot that looks just like it. It then falls out of the wall and hits the floor*

Unown: KO

---SS Wins!---

SS unsheathed his sword. "Now, time to sleep." He used his speed to get behind the astonished scientist, and bashed him upside the head with the hilt of his sword. Noticing Sinji's victory, he did the same to the other scientist. SS smiled at Sinji as the scientist dropped to the floor. "Looks like I finished first." Sinji only shrugged and grabbed a nearby lamp.
The two mad their way down the hallway, strange and unknown glyphs peering at them like so many sentinels on the walls. SS was looking at them, though not in the same way Sinji was. While his brother marveled at the mysteries of the past, SS merely saw what it was and kept moving.
Eventually the two came upon the end of the tunnel. It had opened up into a cavernous room, with rough-cut rock walls on all sides. Adorning these walls were thousands upon thousands of Unown glyphs, which Sinji looked upon in pure joy. What drew attention in the room was not, however, the glyphs on the walls, but rather, a large glass case in the center of the room. Inside, on a pedestal, stood the tome they were searching for. Sinji turned to SS, who merely smiled and stepped forward. In a flash of metal, the perfectly cube case fell to the ground, sliced to ribbons. Sinji nodded, then stepped forward and picked up the tome, immediately opening and perusing it. After a few moments, he found what he was apparently looking for. Sinji walked to the wall while SS watched, humming "Ready Steady GO" to himself.
Sinji either didn't hear SS or was completely engrossed in his search that he didn't hear the humming, but instead followed the wall. He touched a spot on it, and the ground beneath the glass case opened, letting the case crash and break even further. SS couldn't keep the confusion and shock off his face.
"Looks like we're going down, bro." Sinji closed the book.
"Whatever." SS shrugged. "Let's get this over with- I'm tired." Sinji's eyes narrowed slightly, but no other manefestation of his anger appeared. He muttered something under his breath and entered the hole, but to SS it sounded something like "Baka..."
After what seemed like hours of walking, the duo reached the true end of the tunnel. The room this time wasn't covered with glyphs or pictures, but instead with jems and jewels of all sorts. At the center, this time un-covered, was another tome. Sinji, who had been admiring the cavern, strode forward. SS, meanwhile, let out a little sigh, relating to both how beautiful the cavern was and how close the end of the mission was. IGPX is almost on... he thought, checking his pocketwatch.
Sinji picked up the tome. He looked around, lest any Indiana Jones-esque traps go off, and, satisified that none would, walked back to SS. The two turned to exit the staircase. Just as they went to leave, some weird flames materialized. It appeared that there were torches that SS hadn't seen or noticed on the walls leading up to this area, and they revealed some holes in the walls. Wide enough for Unown... he thought, thinking back to his previous fight with the scientist. I do wonder how he got that... SS' suspicion was realized as ten Unown of various shapes made their way out of the holes, heading right for the brothers.
"You take the five on the right, and I'll take the five on the left, brother." said Sinji, pointing to which ones were his.
SS smiled widely. "Good, and I thought his mission was going to be boring." With that, SS drew two Pokeballs and went into battle.

SS vs Unown

SS: Go, Anorith and Chompy! Water Pulse and Water Gun!
*The two pokemon, as they are released, unleash their water-based attacks. The Unown respond in the only way they can: Hidden Power. The Water Pulse one, however gets confused.*

Unown1: 48- 7= 41 *confused*
Unown2: 48- -6= 42
Chompy: 45-5= 40
Anorith: 45-6= 39

SS: Now, Chompy! Use Crunch! Anorith, use Metal Claw!
*Chompy lunges at the confused Unown, chomping down on it across its midline. Anorith, meanwhile, jumps up in mid-air and smashes the other Unown into the floor with its Metal Claw. The confused Unown manages to hit Chompy.*

Unown1: 41-10= 31
Unown2: 42-11= 31
Chompy: 40-6= 34
Anorith: 39-4= 35

SS: Combine your attacks on the non-confused one! Metal Claw and Crunch!
*The two lunge at the one Unown, which sweat-drops before it gets hit. As the dust settles, it's lying face-up on the ground, KOed. Another floats in to take its place. The confused Unown turns and hits the newcomer, being confused as it is.*

Unown1: 31

Chompy: 34
Anorith: 35

SS: Chompy, use Surf! Anorith, use Slash!
*Chompy's wave washes over both Unown, dealing a fair bit of damage. Anorith then Slashes the newcomer Unown with one of his claws. The confused Unown also hits its partner.*

Unown1: 31-10= 21
Unown3: 42-10-11-5= 16
Chompy: 34
Anorith: 35-5= 30

SS: Now, Pokeball... go! *tosses pokeball*
*The Pokeball snares the 3rd Unown, which happens to look like an S. The ball drops to the floor, and wiggles once... twice... and settles.*
SS: No time for celebration, but.. I got an Unown! *grabs pokeball* Now, Chompy! Use Surf again, and Anorith, use Fury Swipes on the confused Unown!
*Fury Swipes hits twice, and the Confused Unown loses its confusion. However, it's a little late to the party, as it gets taken out by Anoriths' Fury Swipes after Chompy's Surf.*

Unown1: 21-10-5-6= K0
Unown4: 48-10= 38
Chompy: 34-6= 28
Anorith: 30

SS: Let's finish this up! Chompy, keep Surfing, and Anorith! Fury Swipes again!
*Both Unowns get caught in the wave, and Anorith targets the weaker Unown with Fury Swipes. He hits twice.*

Unown4: 38-10-5-6= 17
Unown5: 48-10= 38
Chompy: 28-5= 23
Anorith: 30-4= 26

SS: Chompy, Crunch that weak Unown! Anorith, Slash the other one!
*Chompy lunges right at the weak Unown and takes it out with a powerful bite. Anorith, meanwhile, slashes the other one across its eye.*

Unown4: KO
Unown5: 38-9= 29
Chompy: 23
Anorith: 26-6= 20

SS: Alright, guys! Combine your water attacks! Water Pulse and Water Gun!
*The two unleash their attacks on the remaining Unown. As the water washes over it, it falls to the ground. Once the attacks end, it's visible to be KOed.*

---SS Wins!---

SS wiped his brow as the last Unown dropped. He recalled his pokemon, and looked over at Sinji who was giving him a thumbs up. That, however didn't catch hi seye as much as the walls of the jemmed room. Unown were materializing like crazy out of the walls, and amassing in far greater numbers than either of them could take. Sinji turned and saw the impending threat. He turned back to SS and they voiced their opinions at the same time: "RUN!!"
With that, they were off like two bats out o fhell. They ran right up out of the secret entrance, past the still-unconcious scientists, and burst out of the cave. They wasted not a second in taking flight and heading back to Hoenn and base. Sinji looked over his shoulder at SS, flying in a wingman position, then looked back forward, cradling his tomes. SS was respectful enough to let him be; in good time, Sinji would tell him what they would do to finish BL's assignment. Until then, SS thought contentedly, looking up at the pale full moon.
I'm flying in the sky.

Me: I can honestly say I was expecting a Salamence.
*Thinks back*
Me: But hey you learn something new everyday. In double battles, a Rain Dance strategy can work.

Sojiro watched him dissapear.

"I think him and Suiken would get along good."

*Sees SS's part of the mission*
Me: Guess I should get around to reading it.
