[Eaglesoar whispered quietly as he narrowed his eyes, trying to remember how many there were through his blurred memories. Two that attacked him, one that went for Tigerfang...that's about all he knew. There were probably more though, but at that time he couldn't tell.]
I couldn't protect Tigerfang! How can I face her after this? What if she's crippled for life?
[He didn't voice his mental yowls out loud, since they weren't Cinderwing's business anyway. Instead, he fixed his gaze upon the black warrior again, this time less intense than before.]
"How do...I look? Much less...handsome than...Bramblefire I suppose?"
[He single remaining ear twitched in amusement as he tried to purr, but what came out was a ragged cough, as well as a splitting headache that suddenly took hold of him, leaving him hissing in pain - but unable to do anything.]

I smirked. Who, that mousebrain?! Bramblefire may have cleaner fur right now, but he's as scarless as a newborn kit. I meowed. I smirked, flicking him with my tail on his shoulder. "You're an honorable warrior, my friend, and that's something that Bramblefire may never acheve. No offense, of course," I chuckled, looking at my bloodstained paws. I rasped my tongue across the one that Eaglesoar had bitten, and looked back at Eaglesoar, nodding. I sat down next to him.
A few seconds later, my belly rumbled in a ravenous manner. I laughed, looking at Eaglesoar. "I don't know about you, but I'm famished!" I stood up, about to leave, but stopped. "Want anything?"

"O-Of course I'm not d-dead, you m-mousebrain." I managed to choke out at Cinderwing before going into another coughing fit.
[My eyes were closed, but I could tell that Eaglesoar was finally awake, and that Cinderwing was right there next to him.
I sighed a raspy sigh of relief. At least he was okay. I didn't know what Hauntedheart was doing, but it seemed I was fading.
The stuff that was filling my lungs would go away, no matter how hard I coughed. It felt like my ribs were rattling around my chest,
and my eye started to throb like a solemn drum.]
"It's gonna take..." I paused for a ragged breath. "a lot m-more than a f-fox slamming me ag-gainst a rock to kill me..."

[Sunpelt purred loudly and nodded, happy to be good friends with Lightsound. She then picked up clumps of mosses that's soaked in fresh water. She looked up at Lightsound kindly.] "If you like, i'm bringing these water to the ones who are injured in the medicine cat's den. If you like you can help, but you don't have to." Sunpelt purred, picking up the clumps of moss. [Padding slowly towards the den, she finally arrived with a big smile.] "I got fresh water, if anyone is thirsty!" she announced loudly, through the damp moss. She placed them in the middle of the den and looked down at Envykit, with a smile.] "How are you feeling, Envykit?" she asked.

Before it could protest she bounce off into the camp. The demon dare not follow. it watched the scene from the darkness, confused by all the welcoming affection Purepaw received.] how strange, is a single cat really missed so much when they dissapear? Never before have i seen such a welcome. [the demons scoffed at the scene and began to melt away, only turning once to look at Purepaw's fading image as it was consumed by the shadows once again.] _____________________________________ ...can cure me of this curse.

He was supposed to be one of Nightclan's best fighters and greatest warriors, and here he was in the medicine cat's den, unable to move, and being brought fresh-kill? He felt so rotten that no words could describe it.
His ear pricked up as he heard rasping coughing not too far away from him...as well as Tigerfang's voice. He wanted to leap up and run to her side, and to apologise for being unable to protect her...but how could he face her now? Me and Lightsound are giving the injured cats some water." Sunpelt answered happily. [Her happiness soon dissappeared when she noticed Envykit's conditions. Her eyes filled with sympathy and gave the kit a swift lick on the head.] "I don't think so...Envykit isn't doing so well.." Sunpelt murmered. [She then quickly brought a damp moss to Envykit, pushing the moss close to her with her nose.] "You should drink this Envykit, it'll get rid of the sticky stuff. Plus you shouldn't talk a lot...I don't want your injuries to get worse." Sunpelt said, giving a kit a comforting smile.
[Moonpelt entered the camp, more relieved that the fighting died down. He then noticed his sister's scent near the medicine cat's den. He went towards the medicine cat's den, his eyes showing sympathy for the small kit. Moonpelt then noticed his sister's caring towards the kit, knowing that she wants a kit for herself. He let out a small chuckle, backing away from the crowded den. He sat down with his tail neatly around his paws, watching from a distance.]

[I tried to lift up my head to get a better look at the spot where Eaglesoar was coming from, but I let out a loud hiss of pain as I felt something in my chest crack.]
"E-Eaglesoar...Eaglesoar, what happened?" I paused for a moment as I lapsed into another coughing fit. "I-I thought I had l-lost you..."
Ugh, this is so embarrassing...here I am in a pool of my own blood, and I can't even get up to defend my Clan...my ancestors would and should be ashamed.

[Lavenderrain opened one eye at the sound of a squealing Smokekit.
Growling in mock anger, she pounced up and on top of him so all four paws dug in in places around his tiny body.]
"You wake up Nightclan's leader when she's had only a wink of sleep in 3 moons? I am seriously considering your entry into Nigthclan now." she mewed slyly moving away from him.
[Licking a paw and drawing it over her ear, she washed hastily and turned clear purple eyes upon the kit.]
"What is it you need of me young one? Something very important --" she began as a faint waft on the breeze fluttered from the kit.
[Leaping eagerly at him again, Lavenderrain pushed her nose all over him.]
"Why.. you smell exactly like..." she began but one look at those shining eyes and quivering body was all she needed to know.
[Racing out of her den and leaping the full length of the Shadowstone, Lavenderrain skidded at the center of the clearing.
She froze in her tracks as she saw the small bundle of fur between Blackflame and Starkcloud.]
"I have to be dreaming... I have to be dreaming.. My lovely lovely Purepaw. How are you still alive?" she murmured gently as she closed her eyes and pushed her face to the chubby apprentice.

"My greatest enemy and clan mate, fallen in the line of duty. The fiercest cat in all of Nightclan. Able to squabble even in front of all the mightiest leaders. So how can it be that you lay here now, unable to face your clan?" rumbled a voice from not too far away.
[Watercloud's eyes sparkled green, in contrast to their usual grey.
He walked silently over to the place where Eaglesoar rested.
Looking down upon the cat was pitiful but his eyes held none of that pity.
Only a fierce anger.]
"How can you lay there like a coward?! If what you say is true, no cat Nightclan or any clan would've been able to face those foxes! So don't you dare look away from me and say, let alone think, that you're a coward! You did your best and no cat can ever say that you are a coward. So if you're done with the self pity then spend all your energy recovering. Cause when you're finally healed you'll become stronger. Strong enough to protect the ones you'll care about, got that? Besides, what would I do without you? I'd have absolutely no one to challenge me or push me to my full extent. So finish up with this 'useless' act and get better. Get stronger!" Watercloud grumbled.
[Turning away, he couldn't help but smile.
If Eaglesoar could walk away from this near death experience a better cat, then everything was gonna be okay.]
(( if lavenderrain was a real person she be crying so much now!

[Hauntedheart glanced around at all the cats in her den and growled.] "All of you get out now! The only cats allowed in here are the injured, Cinderwing and myself. The rest of you get out!" she growled angrily and glared at the over cats. [She had work to do and she needed the apace to do it. All these cats were jet slowing down the process! As Hauntedheart noticed Sunpelt give Envykit water, she narrowed her eyes. The kit wasn't healed yet so she couldn't drink yet. It would cause her imense pain. Didn't cats know this? Hauntedheart walked back over to Envykit and pushed the moss away, glaring at Sunpelt.] "Are you a medicine cat? I didn't think so! So don't go fetching my patients water before I say so! Now get out of my den or I will never get these cats healed! Tigerfang is still untreated so if you want to be responsible for her death, then stay. Otherwise, get out!" Hauntedheart growled to Sunpelt and Vanillahpaw. [It greatly annoyed her that cats felt the need to help her withou being asked. She didn't need help treating patients unless she requested it, like with Cinderwing. If these cats really wanted to help, they'd get out of her den!]

I nodded, smiling slightly. I turned out of the den, grabbing a frog fo myself, and a woodmouse for Eaglesoar. I started to the medicine cat den, and stopped, smiling slightly. Hauntedheart would probably want something. I turned back, picking up another mouse, and turned to the medicine cat den.
Lavenderrain's voice stopped me. Purepaw...?! I gasped, turning to the crowd of cats around a calico pelt. A fat one at that. A flicker of confusion lit inside of me. Why was she....fatter? Was she expecting kits?! No, this wasn't just in her belly. She seemed slower, and fatter all around. But not as bloated as some of the twolegs I had the displeasure to see. I shuddered slightly, turning back to the medicine cat den. I wouldn't greet her now. There had to be some reason she was fat!
I set the woodmouse in front of Eaglesoar, nudging it closer. I set the other mouse to the side, and the toad next to that. I smiled somewhat. This felt great, despite the earlier happenings. I looked over at Tigerfang as she whispered something. I heard a sickening crack. My frantic eyes turned to Hauntedheart, staring at her for a long time. "Dear StarClan....was that her ribs?!" I choked out scaredly.
