ahem smile hehe - sorry I've been out for a bit. I got the Dragon Age expansion and a lot of my free time was spent either playing that or running around outside with the kids (and dog who is wayyyyy too happy with it being Spring). The kids are on Spring Break this week. Anyone in the mood for popcorn?

I have a subject for you to do your presentation on L. The dumbing down of society in general over the past 50 years and the passing of the new health care bill which run by the goverment will fail much like all the other things that are goverment run. I.E. The Postal System, Medicare, oh and lest we forget Social Security. I don't care if your a democrat or a repulican. This has got to burn you up about the new health care reform bill that just got passed. I know I am not the only one who is freaked out or concerned about all of this. Beertender, I would like a bottle of Bowmore's single malt scotch and a huge brandy glass please and thank you!!!!

Hey, i just read about this in the USA, that its a great victory of Obama, and bla bla bla. I hear many negative reactions about this. Here in Czech Republic state regulates the health system really A LOT and there is always discussion about making it more private and less government, BUT ppl dont want to pay like ANYTHING if possible, so they HAVE to pay a kind of tax as a health security if they have employment and the government basically does the rest.

As for me, I'm craving ice cream. I don't want the calories in real life so I'm going to make myself something here. In fact, I'll set up a nice ice cream bar for people to help themselves to sundaes, cones, and shakes. xd

(Wanders in slowly) Hello...
Popcorn sounds good, Camwen.
Yeah, healthcare in the U. S. You'll get quite a bit of negative reaction on that, Lainauriel. I just found out what I'll probably have to pay just to add my daughter, now that I' illegible for it. And if I had more energy, I'd tell you. lol Just imagine lots of colorful words and obscene gestures.
Hello, Undefined. Yes, you've gotten an ear-full of what I think, haven't you my friend. Poor guy.
(Shuffles into the corner, and plops into a chair) Just let me know if I need to get anything, Camwen. I'm going to sit here and try to stay awake for my shift.

I have to jump in, despite the guild's essential "no politics" rule.
As I said to UD: The needs of the minority should never be threatened if there are no real and absolutely just gains for the majority. Yet the majority always forces its power. It has reached an extent where the will of the majority trumps not only the will of the minority but the will of the entirety and the best interests of no one are met.
Having been raked through the system for years, I have seen a lot. People in foreign countries think what we're getting is what they have and are thrilled or in rarer cases dreading it. I have got congratulations from people thinking I will get healthcare I need, though I will still be denied on the same grounds I have been denied for the past nearly 30 years. I fear less the socialization of resources than the bad legislation, the depression of human spirit, and the maladjusted and broken implementation of it. It looks good on paper, but does not work in reality in the long run.

I hear that. I quit applying for SSI and medical, much to the dismay of my doctors. Just can't see the point anymore. So I fight my battles elsewhere. lol
