Yes, you can still change your looks.. It;s somewhere in the Account Settings. I'll go check.
EDIT: Go to the main Account Settings page. Scroll down to where it says "Account." Then, underneath the option where you can change your name, it has a place where you can change your gender, there's a small paragraph beneath that that has a link to delete your avatar and anything else.
TL;DR
go to Account Settings > main page > account part > paragraph beneath gender change
