You know I can be nice and dismissive sometimes, but other times that just isn't in the cards. Emo ******** annoys me and so do persecution complexes. If you want to leave just do it, don't drag it out with sloppy accusations. I'm not here to be in a clique or to be cool or something as vapid as that. I'm here to be Spider or Kal or Raven. Otherwise this guild loses all meaning. It's a fact that when people have been in a group for a long time, they tend to relate to each other better than newer additions to the group. It's basic psychology.

As for sigs, you have to understand that Steve is providing a free service, one that's about a year old now. He isn't doing this for fame, or glory, or money he's doing it to get sex from the super heroines. I kid, but really he takes time out of his day to make these sigs for people without asking anything in return, you aren't entitled to it. Let's just assume for a second that he doesn't like you and gave you a shitty sig because of it. Suck it up, princess you still got one and you got it for free. There's an old saying that goes something like this "don't look a gift horse in the mouth".

Let me expound on this a little bit more because I think it bears the analysis.


If all you do is lurk on Gaia, yes. It IS going to be boring. You're not taking part in conversations. You are not taking advantage of any of Gaia's extra functions (housing, fishing, shopping). You aren't participating in any of the games, discussions, or features put into Kapow.

You, Selina's handler, don't participate in the games. You don't discuss which comics you've bought or ask for advice on what to buy. You don't play in the cyberdome, you don't roleplay. Removing all of that, what is there LEFT for you to do?

This is not an accusation. This is not "omg you don't like those things get the ******** out of my guild"...because Jesus Christ, we're adults, we are all allowed to have different interests.

However, I have to pose this question to you. Because, without feedback from YOU, how can this guild be anything more then a frustration to you.

WHAT do you want from Kapow!? This is a serious question. When you log into this guild, what do you want to participate in? Things that the guild members find interesting, obviously, we should be doing. And so, AS a guild member, it's in your hands to make the suggestions, to put the plans in motion to do things that you find fun.

I'm not psychic. I don't have the ability to read minds. If you are on Gaia so much lurking that you WANT to do other things, then you have to let us know what those things are.

And so, I leave it open to you. Not just you, Selina's handler, but to everyone in the guild, to make the suggestions for what you want to do here.

If you find, now that I've posed this question to you, that you have no answers, no suggestions at all, then it's time to take a look at yourself critically and say "I don't need to spend my free time here."

I really had no huge expectations from the transfer of the CD boards to a guild, I was simply looking for a better pool of knowledge and a more relaxed atmosphere...and that's what I got.

Once I actually spent some time talking to others IC and OOC via instant messagers and even the phone, I found a connection besides the comic world. I know he's not here, and I hope no one minds me using him as an example, but Kyle and I spent hours talking about things that happened, and yet we'd never really met face to face. I even coached him through getting a front tuck using AIM. I've met some great rpers through Kapow, Patsy, Wally, Howlett, Virgil, and numerous others have provided me with a reason for coming back to Gaia and the guild.

I brought friends to the guild, though they don't seem to be around often, they still ask how everyone is doing. I'VE EVEN INTRODUCED MY GIRLFRIEND TO THE GUILD! Okay...that might be to weird and whatnot.

Either way, there has to be something that interests you, the people, the conversation, the angst that seems to be sprouting up...something?

Yeah...so...I taught a kid a double full today.
