And yes! Please come to Otakon! If you pre-register, I think it's $30 as opposed to $50 for the entrance fee? I'll have to check though. And I think it's for the 3 days. I'm not sure though. I really need to check that. Maybe I can convince my parents to let you stay with us! We live about half an hour away from the convention site, so it wouldn't be that bad. Maybe I can skip one day of band camp too. ("And then...this one time at band camp!..." AMERICAN PIE! whee )

I only have a Strength Rod. sad I don't know what to do with it...I'm so clueless... crying -sob- Must check it out. whee ...as soon as I tear myself away from fishing. gonk Pwee... I'd like to. crying But transportation and time are the biggest hurdles for me to overcome. Unfortunately, I don't have a clue where in the country I'll be by the time of the convention, nor what I'll be doing. Makes it all too hard to make plans... crying Strength rod is the best rod to start learning on. 3nodding heart The best place to start fishing is in Bass'Ken, since it's the easiest there. Nice to get a feel for what you're doing before moving on to the other lakes. F.I.N. and C.F.I. are my two favourite fishing threads. Tons of good information found in them. Otherwise, it's just lots and lots of practice.

Malaryush Zelyhon They just want to be first in line for the dealers room. Which I don't really understand either. I mean, I get there later and I can get in right away. But they feel the need to stand in line four hours before to be the first ones in. But...but... If you're not there first, you can miss out on thiiiiiiings!! gonk Things that get sold out! STUFF! CEEEEEEEEELS.... *sob* crying Mala, what is going to sell out in the first hour of the first day except Inu-Yasha plushies that I don't want?

Me: Yea-- (sees the price) ..'k, nevermind, let's go over there We just ran around the Dealer's Room forever and only ended up buying a couple things. Cels. 4laugh heart When I go to cons, I tend to spend upwards of 75% of my time in the dealer's room... I never get tired of it. crying So much stuff... And I can find good things even on the last day -- and the bargains toward the end! crying I always leave with bags upon bags of Stuff. sweatdrop I love stuff...
Mikashi and I also watch the AMV contests and stuff.AMV Contests = WIN. Plus, they give me ideas of what to add to my extensive collection (around 40 CDs. gonk ), since I may not have all of the good new ones.

dot_com Malaryush dot_com I buy tons of little things when I go into dealers. Even though people hate them I actually bought a couple series on VHS. I think one was Serial Experiments Lain and another one was like, a few volumes of Kenshin. Unfortunately, the Kenshin tapes turned out to be english dub. crying Gahhh... I got some weird plastic building kits though. And I made Eva-03 in four hours. heart whee
Mikashi and I also watch the AMV contests and stuff. The VHS tapes are a really good deal these days... I would probably buy some if my player wasnt an ancient monstrosity that destroys tapes a couple times after watching them. crying I love building little model things. whee I suck at it, though, so I mostly get the little Gundams. I love the little Gundams. The AMV contest/showing was one of the few things that could get me out of the dealer's room for a short time. xd That, and a chance to photograph Lanzer's rear. cool
I built an Eva figurine and a little Zoids raptor figurine. That took me an hour though. It's so cute! And it comes with it's own little person too! heart
Mikashi and I watch all sorts of AMVs during Otakon and out of the convention. We download them from a site, and it's a pretty big thing. You get REALLY into it. We started out downloading them from things like Kazaa or WinMX, but in this site, they're rated, and they just get better and better. Some of these AMV's should have been commercials for games or openings of series. They're just spectacular and there's some crazy amounts of effort put into them. whee heart
I still like VHS tapes. They're an awesome deal at conventions! I get packs of them for so cheap! The Lain set was only $20. whee That and Japanese graphic novels. I got vols 2, 3 and 4 of Tokyo Mew Mew for about $3 each from a little bin, two of my favorite novels of RK for $10, and this funky RK guide, all in japanese for about...$7?Would said site be www.animemusicvideos.org perchance? If so, then I'm in the same boat as you. I always go get the ones I liked from the finals of the competitions at Fanime. I was just kinda disappointed that they didn't have Euphoria there. I wanted to see that on the projector. Euphoria = AMV Godhood.

Yeah, AX this year. whee I need to get a cable so I can transfer images from my memory card to my computer... I got to meet (and take pictures of scream ) Lanzer, L0cke, Ling, VO, and darknrgy. It was fun. L0cke told silly stories about Lanzer. whee whee Little model things are fun! I've got one from Ryuu Knight, a semi-obscure robot series that I absolutely love. I wish I could find more. gonk The ones I see on Yahoo Japan auctions go for like...$50 each. So...I stick with the little $10 Gundam figures. sweatdrop I first saw AMVs by downloading a few, years back, and I fell in love. gonk I wish I had the skill to make them; I've had ideas, but no know-how. I've got a bunch downloaded, but I haven't been getting new ones recently... Is that the AMV.org site you're talking about? I've downloaded a few there, but for some reason I used to always get dead links when I found an AMV I wanted, so I gradually stopped going. I was mostly getting them off of WinMX when I was getting them... I love getting neat, cheap stuff at cons. whee That's the biggest reason I attend, when I can. STUFF. heart Aw man! You guys had a whoe discussion on AMVs without me! I'm hurt! Annnnyways, this summer when I go home, I'll probably get around to making some, since the my sister's computer has the software for it. Thus far, I have a few good ideas of what to do. Here's what I can think of off the top of my head. Song- Band-Anime-Focus Believe-Yellowcard-Full Metal Alchemist-Focusing on Maes Hughes. Because I think he's a cool character Macho Man-Village People-Naruto-ROCK LEE! Believe it or not, there are no downloadable videos for this on AMV.org. Thus, it falls to me to make it Some Linkin Park/generic angry song-See before-DBZ-The goal: To make as stereotypical a video as possible! I'd like to hear what ideas you have, Mala.
