"I can't imagine how we would've met, since I tried to avoid anything related to Atius like the plague, his town and temple included. But hey, I think we've been through enough to be considered soul mates, I'm sure fate would've found a way to throw us together somehow." Van said with a small smile at the thought of what their meeting could have been had circumstances been different.

Angel shut her hand into a fist, turned it palm-up, and opened it. As she did, a rose bloomed in her palm, then burst into pink petals. "That's flower magic. Momma taught me all kinds of magic that people have forgotten about because they were seen as silly or useless. Did you know that you can make pebbles dance? That it's possible for trees to sing? You can do beautiful things with useless magic."

Angel smiled a little and made flowers bloom up her arms, all kinds of colors and species. "Those were probably just illusions... these are real. Real and beautiful." They slid back into her skin and she made a wreath of flowers in her hair, then let those burst into olive-and-blue petals.

"I never said they weren't." Riley said with a small smile as he brushed some of her hair from her face and tucked it behind one ear. "At least if we ever get low on money, we can also start up a flower shop." he joked with a slight chuckle.

Angel giggled quietly. "We're going to be doing that anyways. Maybe a traveling store... but something with flowers. I like flowers." She nuzzled his cheek and pulled away so a little pixiebloom could spring from the tip of her nose and fall off petal by petal.
