Sayrike::The Black Pearl::Crow's Nest "Ooh, parkour? That's really awesome," Sayrike commented. She looked out toward the horizon, the sky a particular shade of blue that signaled the hour almost as clearly as a sundial. The activities of the day began to weigh down on her, and the combination of the warm sun and the cool breeze made her eyes droop slightly. "Wish I could do parkour, but, well...I'd suck, haha. She turned and grinned at Jacob. "And yeah, you heard me right. Solar. Surfer. Though, when you say 'nobody,' do you think that includes Silver himself? He's back on the train, you know. I had been planning on figuring some of the stuff out on my own with what knowledge I had, or asking others I encountered about their technological knowledge, but finding Silver was a stroke of luck. Now if I could only get a good chance to talk with him. As for my magic carpet..." She stood up, snapped her fingers, and manifested her main mirror. "Hey, what's wrong with screaming deathtraps?" With a flick of her finger, Sayrike directed the mirror to lie horizontally before hopping on top of it, sitting. She reached down toward Jacob, hand extended. "Do you trust me?" she asked with an impish smile, hoping he'd get the reference. Anthony's voice echoed in her head as he relayed the message about Louis and Dawn. It was a relief to hear, though Sayrike's curiosity about what happened stirred. I mean, that was darkness I saw coming out of Louis, right? Isn't darkness bad in the Kingdom Hearts world? Hmmm... She wished that this world came with an instruction manual or a player's guide or something. Louis was just one more enigma to add onto the many others. [by the way, Jacob, in not your last post but the one before that, you wrote "chika." Just thought I'd let you know. XD]

Anthony frowned at the mention of Ajora, more so as Louis seemed distracted as he spoke, though it was understandable given Louis had just woken up and needed time to gather himself. Still, the young man sighed, relieved that both his companions were well. "At least your both alive and you managed to deal with whatever was hurting Dawn," the warrior-knight said, now smiling. "Which is great news, 'cause... if you were able to save Dawn, that means there's a way to save James too, right? ...Since whatever Ajora had done to Dawn is similar to what he has done to James!" Anthony's hopeful excitement was evident in his tone as he pieced his hypothesis together.

Nick blinked as Ajora shot a response right back at him without missing a beat. He frowned somewhat, the feeling of annoyance scrawled across his face. However, his inner self was grinning like a madman in an asylum.
Oh man, what are the chances? He's powerful, intelligent, and has a rapier wit. Following him for a while wouldn't be that terrible...
Plus, with the Bloody Angel residing within him, it'll only make him that much more charismatic. I actually support your decision on this, Nicholas. What a shocking development in our alliance.
Your sarcasm is duly noted. Now, time to think of how big I want the betrayal to be portrayed. Don't want the 'goody two-shoes' to ever forget it!
You're arrogance will be your downfall, Nicholas.

Quistis stood quietly on the deck, observing the deep blue ocean from the top deck of the ship. It was oddly calm despite what the guy with the purple outfit doing whatever he was doing with the dancer. She had no idea why this ragtag group worked so well together, but they seemed to function quite fine with whatever their goal was.
She turned her head towards Kyle, who was talking with a dark skinned woman in...curious attire. Who was she? She certainly didn't fit in with their group, but apparantly she was important enough to be here. Quistis exhaled, turning her head towards the ocean again.

The male looked at Kyle, head cocking to the side, slightly. How the replicas came to be? That was a good question. Did he know? He had a couple of small guesses, but nothing conclusive. So, that would be a no.
Joe shrugged at Kyle as his response.

Kyle interpreted it as a no. Okay, so he wasn't worthless, good to know.
"Well, I think," he said, clearing his throat, "that when I led everyone down into the crypt in Halloween Town, the Geists that ran through us... remember how they didn't do anything but phase through and vanish? And how suddenly, we each remember all the things we felt horrible about?"
If he had to confess to anyone, it might as well have been Joe. He didn't want to get the others pissed at him; Joe was already pissed at him (in Kyle's mind), so it didn't matter.
"I think that's how Vexen got the information. He tinkered with the Geists and made them copy down all the Darkness in our hearts," he explained, though it wasn't loud enough to leave the room, so no one else would hear him, "That's all they are. They're all our dark memories, the thoughts, desires, and actions, and nothing else. Sound feasible?"

The fighter looked up at the ceiling, pondering it all. Could that been what happened? It was weird, that was for sure, but at the time, all Joe felt had been fear of turning into an enemy once more. Could that really have been the intention of the geists? And did that really cause the creation of the replicas?
The male nodded. It did sound feasible. Of course, though, the male didn't even linger on the fact that Kyle said he led everyone into the crypt. He barely remembered what happened then, considering all the stuff that had been happening in such a short amount of time, anyway.

The arcanist didn't reply to Dawn, but listened to Anthony as he spoke. Finally when he finished, Louis spoke again, "Whatever was happening to Dawn, was far less advanced that what's happening to James I think." "Look at Louis, playing the hero-" "I don't think I'd be able to handle whatever happened to James on my own." "But alas, the wolf has merely chosen the clothing of a different sheep."
With a heavy sigh, Louis stretched, popping his shoulders as he did so, "Unless one of you spontaneously finds the talent to use darkness like me, I won't get any help from anyone here on the boat. So don't get your hopes up yet." "And to think I had a volunteer~"
Louis rubbed his temples and sighed as he stood, "Please excuse me. I have a headache and I think that took allot more out of me than I thought. I'm going to go below deck and lay down alright? Someone come find me whenever we reach our destination."
Louis bowed lightly to the girl's and Anthony and took his leave, thinking as he left, "Think you cold do me a favor and shut up while I'm talking? I have a hard enough time hearing my own thoughts around these people, I don't need your thoughts interrupting all the time as well."

"Hmm, I suppose I do owe you a favor for giving me such a marvelous back-stage pass to your mind, but do you really wish to waste such a debt on that?"
Ajora's could be heard chuckling. Louis would hear him on his right side, and even so far as feel his arm around his shoulder; glancing to the side, Louis would see that Ajora was walking beside him, having given him a half-hug before bringing his arm back. He was smiling.
"It's much nicer here. More room to spread my wings, if you know what I mean. And hey, now I don't need a charm to talk to ya! This is gonna be sweeeet."

"Umm...I don't have a good feeling about this..." Jacob murmured. He reached out to Sayrike with a jittery arm and pulled himself close. "I trust you, just...don't make me plummet to my death? If I fall, I'd like it to be less than a hundred feet. Broken bones are ok, but instant crushing death is bad. Heh...I do remember seeing Silver on the train...musta forgotten or something." Jacob chuckled slightly as he regained some of his confidence. He sat down on the mirror and stared down to the ground below. A shiver went through his spine. He sighed and put his arms around her waist like they were about to zip off on a motorcycle. "I'm ready when you are, hun."

He nodded. That... that was it? Just a nod?
Wait. Maybe he'd just made him angrier at him. Maybe that was why he wasn't talking to him.
"So, um... I'm sorry. I mean, I wasn't really in my right mind at the time, but that's no excuse, and I know sorry isn't enough, especially considering what they've done, but I..." Kyle had started, rambling without meaning to, only to have his voice trail off as he looked away, scratching the back of his head in what could only be guilt.

The fighter cocked his head at Kyle. Why in the world was he apologizing? Did...did he think Joe was angry at him? Why in the world would he think tha-oh right, the not talking.
"Don't blame you, just don't feel like speaking is all." Which was the truth, a little smile at the situation on his lips.

Louis didn't bother tilting his head or even shifting his eyes to look at Ajora and his antics, "Spread your wings if you like, but take care not to snag them in any of the webs... my mind is filled with such things that even a bloody angel like you might wish to avoid. Else you could end up with your feathers clipped all together by the spiders that dwell there." Louis turned to the right the moment he reached the end of the stairs and walked along as he continued, rubbing his eye as a particle of dust drifted too close, "So, let me ask you, who am I speaking to? Is this Ajora? Or just Ultima playing more of her games?"

Ajora chuckled, bringing a semi-closed hand up to his mouth as if to hide the wide grin, his eyes closed. He followed along behind Louis. "You say that like we're not one and the same."
"Anyway, if I get caught on something, I'll just implode and start at the beginning again, anyway. Not like I have to worry about getting hurt," he went on, snorting at the thought.

Sayrike::The Black Pearl--->Magic Carpet Mirror Ride Aww, no reference to Jasmine or Agrabah or the like. Well, can't get 'em every time, Sayrike lamented. I could cut a pretty cool Aladdin. She internally laughed at herself and the silly thoughts that happened to float through every once in awhile.
"Don't have a good feeling? Hey, this is what adventures are made out of!" she cackled. Sayrike could feel Jacob's nervousness through his arm when he pulled himself up, though her own jitters were due to excitement. As he wrapped his arms around her, the girl wondered if this was how it felt to her father every time she rode behind him on his motorcycle...like she was suddenly in charge, in a (literal) seat of power. Sayrike held the life of another person in her hands...and she didn't want to mess up. Sayrike quickly tied her hair back in a ponytail. She turned behind her, grinning like a fool. "Don't worry, even this far up, we'll still probably only break bones. I don't think we'd die. It's just the endless ocean below us, which is a little more forgiving than concrete, at least." Damn, she really did enjoy torturing people like this. Sayrike took a look below through the mirror and saw the ship beneath her, its brown decks solid and reassuring...but the ocean beyond and the sky above were calling even louder. "Well, are you ready? This should be fun. I've never done this before. But you know what Ms. Frizzle says: 'Take chances. Make mistakes. And get messy!'" Before Jacob could sputter any protest, Sayrike pointed her finger ahead and shouted, "Let's gooooooo!" And the mirror beneath them shot off into the blue sky.

[Dawn : Black Pearl : Upper Deck]
Dawn remained silent during the remaining conversation. There was not much for her to say. Anthony was right, if she was saved, James could be saved as well. Although, Louis too, was correct. What happened to James was much more severe than what happened to her. At least she didn't end up following after Ajora like he did.
Either way, Dawn knew two things as she watched Louis walk away. First that she was indebted to him for saving her. Second, there was hope for saving James.
She glanced over at Michelle from where the two of them sat. Dawn was sure that she was even more upset than she was before. After the news of James, followed by whatever Ajora was doing to her, and the whole hand thing. Dawn slowly went over and hugged Michelle. She didn't say anything just held her.
"Hey James," Dawn said through the charms to James, "Tell Ajora, he just lost one of the set. Soon he will have an empty hand."
She knew full well that Ajora had probably heard her. To protect herself from any feed back she blocked out her mind to everything, except for the ship and hugging her sister.
