To seek joy in the saddest places. To pursue beauty to its lair.Well I'm worried about posting anything tonight...Since my two post have shown that I'm not at my normal. This is bad because I want to post...I just can't the words down right. I am happy for Waffle and Mexico. I watched the game with my mom. And my neighbors came over to see if there was trouble. That was sweet of them and rather embarrassing for us. All around great game!! To never simplify what is complicated or complicate what is simple. To respect strength, never power.

Same. I wanted to go to the World Cup and see all the games live. Sadly the tickets cost like $2,000.

@ Aly: TOTAL AWESOMENESS!!! Though, Mexico was pretty clumsy today, I think. They were, like, falling all over or tripping. And the captain was just SO aggressive!! Remember when he was trying to shove that one Frenchie down during theeeee. . ., I think, first half?- But yeah, that guy was seriously ready to kick some a**. It's no surprise that France lost, though, they really suck. Tomorrow is going to suck, though, because I'm going to miss the Algeria vs England game tomorrow!!! And I'm a mad England fan!
@ Pen: If only you had ESPN2, Dude!! Lol You'd be able to watch the games so far!

The only bit of the World Cup that I saw today was Greece vs. South Africa. I'm pretty apathetic to soccer and spectator sports in general. People in my class keep chattering about the World Cup, and if not that then the LA Lakers vs. Boston Celtics match, usually followed by a shouting match amongst my classmates. sweatdrop

Well, I won fifty dollars today! XD A friend of my brother's (who lives west of Saint Paul/Minneapolis) was routing for the French, but I told my brother's friend that they're going to lose and they he should switch sides. . . lol I got money out of his stupidity.

Always good to get rewarded for your trust in your team. biggrin
Yeah the most I got is Versus and the basic sport channels. Some football no basketball really and baseball. I'm not controlling the remote by the way (hate football) Though my mom got really into PBR (Pro Bull Riding)
@ Koji: GOOD LUCK!!!!!!

No offense to those who love Team USA, but. . . lol Let's face it, they CAN'T play soccer!- Not the way the other countries can.

To seek joy in the saddest places. To pursue beauty to its lair.Good Luck Koji And Styk I agree on the clumsiness that was part of both team. France seemed to be aggressive, but every time they got close to the goal its was like they would go blind and kick into the wall of defenders or simple miss by a mile. I felt like the goals occurred do to lapses on the Frenches part and not so much the Mexican team. Although my view might be off since the game was a while ago. I can't wait till tomorrow. England verse Algeria, USA verse Slovenia, and Serbia verse German. I only really care for the English game, but I know there will be major intensity in the other games. Since its a most win for the US and Serbia is soooo desperate!!! To never simplify what is complicated or complicate what is simple. To respect strength, never power.

Americans in general suck at sports and aren't very smart either. [/loathing]
I said it once in status and I'll say it again: sports are meant to actually be played outside, not to be watched on the telly or in the stands. wink
