"I don't know where Sempai is, but we'll just carry on without him" he took from the bag a white virgin candle, lavender oil, a black and silver candle holder, and a little pouch. he dipped a finger in the oil and ran it down the candle's length. "as above," now Kero ran the finger up the candle, "so below." when he was done annointing the candle, Kero placed it in the holder, whose handle was a dragon with twisted horns. From the pouch, he poured a red powder in the shape of a pentacle, with the candle at the center. it was dried clay from a riverbed, "water and earth," he intoned. the powder was used to create two dots at different points of the stars. the match that would be used to light the candle was placed at another point. "fire." one of masayoshi's hairs, extracted form curry, "air." finally the candle was lit, and dedicated to the goddess Hecate. "This is the final day of the Yule Sabbat." kero announced. "If everyone would be so kind as to drop a flower petal on the flame, the magical energies of the group will be strengthened in the new year." "Of course I'll join."
She reached up,
Plucking a petal fro her poinsettia,
Dropping it in the flame,
As instructed. "...Now what?" "Remind everyone to drp a petal when the come in. Midnight is the climax of the festival. You'll see what happens then..." Kero's eyes twinkeled, and flashed yellow. "Huh." He looked in the mirror, they were normal again. "that was a good sign, by the way. If you'll excuse me, i must go, ah prepare for tonight. I'll be back later." "Got 'cha."
Taking a black rose from a vase,
She passed it to Kemmie.
"Take a petal,
And drop it in the flame."
