Amanda pouted. She couldn't tell if she was being baited or not. This was truly ridiculous... still...
Crocodile tears streamed down her cheeks and she sniffed. "So... I failed my father?" she almost told herself. "My first time.... I was... trusted on my own and I failed him" Amanda's performance was flawless as the images of thus failures flew threw her head though she was not out yet. Next was the tricky part.
The next sequence were performed so quickly that it was impossible to think that a human could do them, but everything seemed to move in slow motion.
Deftly she drew an overly large magnum revolver from her purse and spun it up to press the barrel against her left temple. The sound of the hammer clicking back was almost identical to the sound she made with her tongue against her teeth. The hammer dropped.
Two things happened at once. The recoil of the massive gun sent it spinning across the pier and dangerously close to the water though it barely stopped short. The right side of Amanda's head exploded. There was very little blood to see as her body fell lifelessly in a shower of skull fragments and grey tissue, framed by tawny hair. Only when her young body impacted onto the cool pier did blood pool from the massive wound in her head as she lay there. A perfect corpse.

Olathe certainly hadn't been expecting the girl to blow her brains out right before her simply because she knew that asking for her mate back would require a ridiculous price and debt that would later come back to haunt her. She was not one to be controlled by anyone, she needed to be the one in control of herself and if she allowed this being to push her into reviving her mate then she was almost certain that there would be dire consequences to follow afterwards. Her father had taught her well and she was not at all ignorant of the ways of demons, angels, Gods and their many riddles and promises that always ended up back-firing somehow and inconveniencing the one that was supposedly being convenienced. No, she could not do it. Stirring the dead had never been something that'd resulted in a pleasant and happy ending, she'd heard stories.
However, the explosion from the gun's massive force brought her back to and as Amanda's body fell, Olathe realized that she'd missed her one and only chance. She wasn't sure, though, if the being was dead since she'd known demons created by the Gods that'd been capable of taking a blow to the head like that without dying. Her next concern was that this girl was attempting to frame her somehow and have her killed by whoever it was that she was working under. If so then Olathe was certainly in a lot of trouble though she'd never carried any sort of gun on her and she'd have to be point-blank range to shoot that hole clean through the girl's head, not to mention she would have to be standing completely still.
Olathe sighed, not in despair, she couldn't allow herself to despair again, she'd done it so many times already and still it refused to leave her be. Five years and she was still broken-hearted and lost, her only purpose was to raise her children, protect them, assure that nothing happened to them. However, she was here now, looking for her little sister and she'd left them in the company of her younger brother. Hopefully he'd be able to care for them in her absence but as an overly protective mother that'd lost half of her world, she tended to worry about her cubs all the time. What if something happened to them as had happened to their father? Would she be able to bare that loss and responsibility? She doubted it, she was much too fragile to deal with something like that now or ever without him. Maybe if he was there to comfort her she would go on but that was just a foolish hope and dream ...
Since she really didn't care to be seen with a dead body or one that appeared to be dead though she wasn't sure if it actually was dead, Olathe ventured off to another dock where she sat down once again and decided to bombard her little sister with texts yet again. She sent one in particular, though:
Sibyl, hurry up and finish your business. I've been waiting here far too long and now some strange being has approached me about Valan. This being was no ordinary creature from New York, she was either a demon or angel that was likely created by the Gods. Be on your guard, little sister.

The first indication that something was wrong was the gurgling sound that came from her chest as air rushed back into her lungs. But then the dead girl rose from her position like a puppet on strings, which was clearly evident of supernatural forces working.
"I'm disappointed." she muttered through her partially intact lips. The massive hole in her head was fusing over; brain tissue reforming and filling in the mass she had just lost onto the pier; then the white of her skull grew in to shield the newly formed grey matter; veins and arteries snaked across the white dome like plant roots before muscle buried them; finally the skin appeared intact and the tawny blond hair burst from it to join the rest. "I really though you'd be more surprised."
Amanda spat a small stream of blood onto the pier and hugged her body tightly with a look on her face that sang of pleasure. "You have no idea how good that feels..." she mused, more to the night than to Olathe. "It's only the second time I've died, but still... coming back is the most amazing feeling any human could hope for."

Olathe figured that the body might find some freakish and unnatural way to reamaterialize what it'd initially destroyed and heal itself to perfection. It didn't frighten her at all, the sight hadn't bothered or disturbed her and the unstable girl was obviously more powerful than her but what could she do but accept that fact? "You thought I would be surprised that you shot yourself right in the head in front of my eyes? Do you think I'm a child that would begin to cry at the sight? I wasn't born yesteday, I've seen bodies shredded to particles of flesh and bone before my eyes. Thank-you, though, for the gruesome sight of you blasting yourself in the head."
"Of course I have," Olathe responded, "no idea how that feels, I am a being that cannot string itself together when so many complex particles have been unstrung. Whoever can weave you together is certainly a master at doing so for I have only seen such happenings in the midst of the Gods themselves." She remembered all too well the childhood sights of what'd happened to her. She was certain that her little sister hadn't forgotten either for it was impossible to block them out.

Amanda rushed up and wrapped her arms around Olathe, rubbing against her and purring in a sensual manner as she was still trapped in her high. "But my father is no god..." she purred to the Lycan, pleasant scents pouring from her. "He is an angel..." Her fingers slowly reached up and ran down the other females face.

Well, it certainly wasn't everyday that some crazed angel girl came up to her and began to molest her as she sat there trying to text her little sister. Olathe didn't particularly feel like struggling to get away from the strange woman so she merely sat there and endured her odd caresses and strokes knowing full well that Sibyl would have freaked out over this entire thing. "Hm, angels that are able to grant life, sounds like something odd is happening indeed." Though Olathe enjoyed the scents that were emitting from this woman, she well remembered her place and where she was. She simply sat there and enjoyed the woman caressing her face, prepared for her to lose her temper any moment and begin scratching and attacking her without warning.

It was mainly the rush of bringing herself back to life but Amanda was thoroughly enjoying herself. Perhaps this dog girl was going to be more fun than she had initially thought, a pleasant notion. And yet purrs still pulled themselves out of her chest as her alabaster fingers wandered down the females neck and back.
"My father is comforting to all that embrace him..." she muttered into Olathe's ear. "We can all help you in any way you desire. Please..."

This girl was under the angel, sent by him so she decided to categorize this girl as some form of siren. This girl was playing with the thought of her mate being brought back to life and now she was attempting to slow her thinking process by distracting her with bouts of pleasure. What a wicked girl and how very siren-like and as soon as she discovered that Olathe was not that easy to overcome the tantrum would come and the ripping of her flesh would likely be replaced by the soft caresses that Olathe took in. "And why would you care to help one such as me?" The skepticism was still there, such a pesky weed it was.

"That is so very simple." Amanda purred, continuing to rub against the Lycan. "He is interest in the Lycans. You would not be the first we have helped." Her tongue wandered around the girls ear as she purred. "And you seemed in dire straights... a girl that would be willing to accept the brand of magic we bring." At this point she wrapped her legs around Olathe and pressed their chests tightly together. "My father would be pleased if you accepted us."

"Why," Olathe questioned immediately afterwards, "would an angel be interested in the affairs of lycans, more so, why would he be interested in me? I don't even live here in New York and I'm not a part of their pack, I'm here visiting my little sister and checking up on her so I don't see how he'd know who I was." She definitely realized that this girl was getting a little more intense with her apparent lesbian actions, however, Olathe didn't so much as shift to get away from her. Perhaps she was partly entranced but she was mostly showing this woman that no matter how much she tried to pleasure her, she was a brick wall.
"I seemed in dire straights? Which brand of magic?" She really didn't like the sound of magic being involved when it came to any matters but especially whe it came to dealing with a life, something extremely delicate and at the same time so extremely complex. "I cannot accept you blindly, I don't know why you're here or what you want. I'm bluntly honest but I do not blindly trust, I've learnt my lessons long ago." When she wrapped her legs around her and pressed her chest to her, Olathe continued to stare straight at her with her amber eyes, not at all tempted by this woman and neither was she frightened.

"Oh you are such a nuisance." Amanda purred. "Quite honestly we don't need to help you but we choose to.... Perhaps you don't need to your mate back... But then again you may just be confused." The young girl pressed her forehead to the older girls and gazed into her amber eyes with her twisting green ones. "Just tell me. Are you willing to accept our aid?"

Before Olathe even had any chance to respond, Sibyl had found her and was quickly racing toward her, sensing the sinister presence there. When she arrived, she realized that Olathe was simply sitting there with that girl latched onto her like some sort of leech. The entire sight disgusted and nearly sent Sibyl over the edge. "Olathe! Get up! What are you doing?!" She'd only seen her sister look like that once before and it'd been when she'd completely given up on herself and Sibyl had been the one that'd had to save her and bring her back to her senses somehow. "Don't you dare do this to yourself again, he's gone and nothing can change that! He wouldn't want you living like this in despair all the time!" She was clearly worried and she then began to attempt attacking the other girl. "Get off of her!" One moment Sibyl was just in Amanda's face and the next her fist was fly toward it.

Amanda actually ducked and spun around Olathe's body to rest her breasts against her back. "You're going to listen to her?" she whispered so only Olathe could hear. "She doesn't know what you're going through."

Jaden starred at the scene. "Whoa... What's going on?" As far as he could tell there was lesbian action and now a catfight. He was really glad he hadn't stayed behind.

Olathe seemed to almost be off in another world, slowly sinking into the comfort that Amanda's offer gave her but a shrill and panicked voice soon brought her back to a degree of awareness. Her little sister was there and she was now fighting off the woman that'd decided to attach herself to Olathe for whatever reason. Olathe had began to withdraw into herself, not even into herself but into the lonliness that seemed to be the only thing that was there for her. Why was it her companion now in the stead of her husband? It was an illusion and all it did was make her realize just how lost she truly was without him. She seemed to be a blank shell at the moment, not really registering anything that was happening when she actually was, she was just processing it extremely slowly.
"No ..." she responded to Amanda as if in some sort of trance, speaking very slowly, "she doesn't know what lonliness or loss is ... She's never ... experienced it before ... Her family's always ... protected her from such harm ... Why ... ? Why couldn't they protect me as well? Was I not deserving of it?" She seemed to be somewhat off in her own world, babbling to herself and apparently feeling betrayed somehow though it was the lonliness that was creeping in on her and embracing her just as tightly as Amanda did now. Perhaps Amanda was lonliness personified, who knew ...
