Fuzoo Awe, what's wrong with yourself that you're worried about, Tiger? Somehow I convinced myself it was a good idea to attend a party where drugs and drinking were in plenty. I hitched a ride home in the middle of the night because I couldn't take it any more. I'm also horribly angry at my best friend at the moment who says it was a good way to meet some friends for a change, and that "beggars can't be choosers" since these supposed acquaintences of his are not the sort of people I can readily appreciate/get along with.

Yeah, it really is...I mean, I drink, I enjoyed myself there for a short while, but then it started to feel increasingly uncomfortable there. What's mostly distressing to me today is simply the comments that were made...I'm all for any attempt to try and make more friends -- I wouldn't be here if I weren't all that shy, would I? -- but I don't think that's the best way to get out and do it. Not to mention it brought to my attention a lot of things about my best friend as well;
He often likes to go on and on about the weakness of society, but examining it, especially last night, he seems pretty "weak" himself. If abusing substances with near-strangers is his idea of a good time, maybe I need to take a step or two back and question my friendship with this man.
It sucks because he's practically the only contact I have at the moment, but I look at it like I looked at my decision last night...I almost regretted leaving, but I'd rather feel upset at home than remain and keep being upset. I have standards I like to adhere to, and if that's so wrong, then...
I didn't mean to subject the thread to such a spiel, oops. gonk
