((Lutz, you mass murdering product of a dove-rape! first you killed my inspiration for major paine, and now you can only say that a fella with a broken hard disc and no internet-connection for about a month has his char to be killed only for the enjoyment of you. I am deeply disappointed.... Anyway, heard the news with the new group, and find it very inventive. I mean, that way, we will have loads of fun. For the part with the new visitors, how about certain players draft out a second character? I mean, perhaps I am overly phantasyzing, but it seems to me that the entire bunch of chars only needs to be told to come to a specific place....*cougholdgirlscollege*, where one of the secondary characters picks them up, and drives them to the main place. . I mean, that was mainly the concept I drafted both of my characters on.... but whatever.... So, as far as floorplans, descriptions and perhaps some crude pictures go, I would suggest each of the players drafts out at least his/her room, and I could perhaps draft out the underlying floors. Soooo...... as for the story, I am willing to provide a plan for a fresh start.... untested nanite system.... possible problems with the reactor..... or, to stay in (geek) character:
"Librarian! she is running to hot! You can't take her any fasta!" "Ugh, ugh-uggh, Ugh EEK EEk EEEEEk-U'gh!" "That is so crazy, it just might work!"
So, what do you say? I would be for a fresh start.... The Old base is destroyed, mainly by a totally unpredictable event. squads on a mission are allowed to return. And then, we redesign everything....prolly in the new placeguildforum....))

Riku sat in his room, polishing his katars. He looked at his reflection in the blade; it reflected a look of sadness. He placed the katars into the sheathes on his thighs, then strapped his wristguards on. He stood up, putting his mask on, and pulling the hood of his cloak over his head.
"It's gonna be a long night," he thought as he leapt from his window and disappeared into the night.

The king stands, pushing one of the council members out of the way/ "But you are all forgetting! This letter was never addressed to Ace or anyone of the liking! This was meant for our sister city, Hashook! They where supposed to send help..." The man is close to tears. "What is happening?"
"...Help is here. Squad Slithen is more powerful than any army of any city. You have the support of some of the most skilled mercenaries that Mishap Mercenaries has to offer." Ace holds out his hand, the guards stepped in between the king and Ace. "Stand down." The king said. The guards did so. The king extends his hand, and Ace and the king shake hands. It was a deal.
(I will shorten up the rest of this to keep things moving...)
Ace left the building with a map of the city rolled up like a scroll. It was brown and tied with a green ribbon. The parchment was also fancy. He approaches Yue, who was waiting outside the manor. "We have the job."

(( OOC@Baltazaar: Causing a catastrophe is tempting, but I have a few issues with it.
1. Our characters are inside the building you suggest we destroy.
2. What's wrong with the base? We wanted a reorg, not a rebuild. ))
The library, MMHQ
Random doors sometimes opened on the abyss or blank brick walls, but usually they opened on random angry monsters. Whacking monsters with books pulled off the shelves had turned one into an aardvark, another into a ham sandwich (which, after inspection, Joel had gratefully eaten), summoned eighteen smurfs, and caused one nasty narcissus flower to become fascinated with its reflection. From the panicked squeeks somewhere behind him, the aardvark had found the smurfs. No book had failed to dispatch the beast it hit, but it was only a matter of time before one backfired and hit him. Actually, one book had affected him, turning his turban from green to sky blue, but Joel couldn't see his turban, so he hadn't noticed. Joel needed a real weapon. And a map. And an exit. The necessities were just piling up.
Joel felt a puff of wind. He pulled yet another book off the shelves and swung it. A bat flapped around a corner and ran into it. The book morphed into a sword, which impaled the bat but also tried to bite Joel's hand. Joel dropped the sword, which immediately took on the appearance of a normal sword, with a finely wrought hilt in the shape of a dragon's head. He looked at his hand. It was bleeding. Joel had played games like this, games where the player entered a randomly generated dungeon carrying nothing, hoping that items randomly generated within the dungeon would be enough to keep the player alive. They never were. Very few players recovered from an injury, even just a scratch. Joel doubted he would see a high score list if and when he lost this time. He resolved to win.
Joel realized that the wind was getting stronger. The sword would probably bite him again if he tried to wield it, so he took another book for a weapon and turned the corner.
A small pink balloon was being blown around in the wind, which kept getting stronger. The wind also changed direction often, repeatedly slamming the balloon into the shelves. Then the balloon opened a huge mouth. The wind intensified, whipping Joel's clothes around and nearly pulling him off balance. The balloon closed its mouth, and the wind suddenly stopped. The balloon smiled happily. It didn't look any bigger, but its sides kept wriggling, as if something was struggling inside it.
Something moved at the corner of Joel's vision. He looked down. A book had fallen off a shelf. It was trying to open itself, and the pages inside were warping, twisting, stretching out into a shadowy arm attached to a -
Joel stomped the book shut and shoved it back on the shelf. Whatever was inside was far worse than a pink balloon.
The balloon, interpreting his sudden movement as an attack, opened its mouth again. This time the wind felt like a hurricane, pulling Joel towards the mouth. He held on to a bookcase, but his grip was slipping. The bat carcass flapped by, dragging the vicious sword with it. Letting go of the bookcase, Joel grabbed the wings and swung the bat-sword at the balloon. The sword blade stabbed the balloon right between the eyes. The balloon closed its mouth in surprise, and the gale stopped.
For a few moments, the hurricane reversed, as all the air inside the balloon forced its way out through the sword hole. The balloon blew away like... well, like a punctured balloon. It spiraled away, until it turned a corner and Joel couldn't see it any more. Far away, he heard an anguished cry of "Poyyooo..."

Matt Lutz (Can we just say my team mates were killed and I'm the only one who survived, nobody on my team posts) ((Matt, I have no excuse. Nothing I can say will repair my absence properly, but I can offer one word: School. Fortunately, things are letting up. I should actually be able to get the time to set my eyes upon this place. Please, please forgive me. I don't deserve it, but please do anyhow.))

((Sorry for poofing. I's got the Spring flu bug. Sad part is, i've still gotta go to school. I apologize for the short post. just wanted to give you something so you weren't bored.)) Yue looked up toward Ace. For once, his apperance looked acceptable. "When do we get to go to work?" He asked, non-chatingly. Leaning up against his pack, yue glared coldly at the people before, not once would his eyes touch the commander, Ace. The icy teen seemed to be itching for something.

((Ick the flue does suck, get better soon....
Frogtaur killed Kirby DX How sad.))
"We start immediately." Sokato opened the scroll with the map on it and looked it over, his eyes slowly moving back and forth scanning and saving the map so it could later be brought up as an image file.... of course.
"Any way, I need you, Yue, to find the rest of the peanut gallery... Peanut gallery as in Rusty and Reaper." Ace sighs. "God help them.... Seriously, an old man and a brat wandering the woods unsupervised. Its not very good."
Sokato picks a black rock off of the ground and rubs it against the paper leaving a mark. To be more specific, it was a circle drawn around a small building. "We will all be meeting here. Oh and, you don't need to set out into the woods immediately, just keep watch with the guards." Ace walks off, but yells back to Yue. "If it takes more than five hours for them to show, then you should go track them down."

Six guards in the atrium. Two in the cafe. Three more down the hall. The stairs are clear.
Riku's foresight faded away. He slipped into the shadows, then walked towards the hallway. He stopped just before the hall, and slipped a small mirror around the corner. The guards were standing there, and he could see a security camera swiveling on the wall. Piece of cake, he thought to himself. He slipped into invisibility, then simply walked down the hall. He watched the camera, but it didn't follow him. Good. No thermal imaging. He walked right past the guards, then turned down the next hall. He saw the next guard, and realized the chance for an easy kill. He pulled out a single dagger, then waited for the guard to turn the other way. He threw it. THUNK. The dagger imbedded itself into the back of his neck, severing his spinal cord. Riku moved in, picked up the body and carefully placed it in a nearby closet. He then reached the elevator. According to what I gathered, this is the only way down to the lab. He decloaked, then pushed the DOWN button. A small card key slot emerged from the wall. He pulled out the card key he had stolen from the technician, and slid it in. The light turned green, and the door slid open.
