Little Guy stayed perched like a statue on the same railing Ulani had leaped from. An exasperated bird-sigh followed.

"Ulani! This is no time to rest!
What if our trainers need us?
The Totodile's safe, so we... unless..."

Little Guy's rhyme was cut off by the same aroma that had won over Ulani, and oddly, he found himself hungrier than ever. Finding it rude to not enter the home of such inviting hosts, he soon followed, landing on a nearby chair post, studying the various snacks greedily. "Well, I guess there's no harm to feed us..." he finished in a much more sing-songy tone.

The Totodile meanwhile, could not have been happier. As the old man held him, he rubbed his nuzzle affectionately into the man's chest, being careful not to scratch him with his outer-showing teeth. He was hungry too, but for now, being held in such loving arms easily overrode such a trivial thought. The warmth he was feeling now was a warmth he hadn't felt for months, so soothing it brought tears. With little effort to hold them back, the tears fell as the Totodile closed his lone eye, comforted by the bliss he was feeling. He was home.

Meanwhile, Ky couldn't help but run past M.A's Pokemon, following after the Ariados and running as fast as he could through the brush. Now much closer, he heard Crenu's shout of pain easily, and though Ky had no Pokemon with him, his urge to help drove him faster, so fast that he stumbled constantly, landing painfully when he caught a root at the wrong angle. Nevertheless, he eventually managed to get close enough to see Crenu.

"Crenu!" Ky called out in reflex as he saw Crenu, noticeably beaten, surrounded by an unimaginable amount of ghosts. A feeling of insignificance was felt almost instantly, realizing that he had no way of helping, with Little Guy gone and Sting knocked out. Now just a spectator, Ky ducked down when he heard Crenu's command, closing his eyes just in time as the Sand Storm erupted around the forest area. Surprisingly, Ky smiled at that time. He might not have been able to help, but maybe this was the kind of fight Crenu was searching for.

Not sure at all about what was going on, Ray simply stared back and forth between Niel and M.A. Seeing Ky dash off made him want to follow, but being the most nervous one of the bunch, he simply stood in confusion. "What... what's wrong? What's he doing?" he asked.
PostPosted: Sat Dec 29, 2007 1:58 pm

Crenu thought he had heard his name called out and turned to look around, but the sandstorm had erupted and soon the small area around himself and Larvitar was sealed in this vortex, he couldn't really see or hear much now piled on his already damaged body, so he shook it off as his imagination. He did not mean to be this close, but he knew he was safer in the savage sand than out in the open. It wasn't a concentrated sandstorm as before when Larvitar attacked, this was widespread to effect the whole field rather than directly harm a target, seeing as the target was all around. He pulled his coat over his head to shield against the sand, but he could feel it tearing into him none the less. His was not the tough flesh of a pokemon hardened by battle. A few more blue flames burst through the sand, but most of them were torn up by the sand and the ones that made it missed their target. Crenu chuckled a little, wishing he could go on more than feeling and nearly impossible sight. He looked around again to asses the situation, covering his eyes with his hands as best he could. From what he could make out, some of the weaker ghosts appeared to flee while others fought to stay in the whipping sand. The stronger pokemon stayed though, including the ever grinning Gengar that had taken to leaping from tree to tree to get a better view. Without warning he released another Shadow Ball, this one barely missing Larvitar. As the Gengar charged up a second attack, he was blindsided by a barrage of glowing needles. "What kept you!" Crenu roared through the sand, a slight smile on his face. "Don't just stand there, Night Shade!" Ariados jumped through the bushes up into the trees. As she reached the peek hight of her jump, she released a dark purple shade of energy that shot out in all directions, landing on several of the ghost pokemon and causing them to moan in pain. While more of them fled, Ariados landed next to Larvitar, breathign heavily as she looked around. That was a powerful nightshade she used, and it was rather straining on her mind. The sandstorm had picked up enough to support itself for a little while by this point and Larvitar had snapped back, also breathing harder than he had been before. As he turned to look around, Crenu could see that his right arm was giving off blue flames that were spreading slowly on his rock body. "Damn..."

It was the middle of the afternoon when a small groan could be heard from a lump in a bed. Of course that groan was easily over shadowed by a loud snore a second later from a purple and white lump a few inches over from the blanket covered lump. Meanwhile the blanket lump started to wiggle and soon a head popped up from under it. Looking around bleary green eyes took in the bright sunlight and the messy room around her. Groggily reaching out and grabbing the clock next to her bed she stared at the red number's blinking at her. "Mmmmm noon... Thats earlier then usual..." Robin groaned before falling back to the bed again. Suddenly she sat up green eyes wide as she realized what today was. "Luffy wake up!" She squealed happily shoving the small purple and white lump off the bed. The small pokemon landed on the ground with a loud thump before waking up and springing up onto the bed wide awake. "Luffy today is the day! We get to start off on our own adventure!" She cheered to the small Aipom sitting on the bed. Luffy for his part jumped up excitedly with a big grin on his face before rushing to the end of the bed and grabbing the big straw hat on the end with his tail. Hat in tail he plopped it on his head and jumped over to his trainer who was practically tearing her PJ's off in order to get in the shower.

----------

After a nice long and hot shower and grabbing a breakfast/lunch from downstairs Robin and Luffy headed out to the door of the small appartment that she lived with her parents in. Before they could leave though there was a small note on the door. Curiously Robin plucked it from the door and read.

Sorry we were not able to see you off today on your big adventure. We just want you to know that we are very proud of you and that you succeed on your Pokemon adventure. We saved up for a bit and bought you these I hope they come in handy for your journey.
Love Mom and Dad

Not able to help it Robin wiped a small tear from her eye. She knew that money was tight and even though it wasn't much, just a few pokeball's, two potions and an antidote. A big smile on Robins face she looked down at Luffy and the two of them nodded at each other before stepping out into the streets of Goldenrod city with a single thought in her mind. To become the best pokemon trainer ever.

Once outside Robin and Luffy blinked a few times, it was bright and the house had been fairly dark. Once they were able to see again Robin and Luffy Grinned again and headed to the North side of the city. Last night they had planned on heading up Route 35 and through the National Park instead of through Ilex Forest and Union Cave in order to get to New Bark Town, after all Robin needed to pick up her pokedex. She might have an abnormally large knollage on pokemon, it was the only thing she knew a lot about, but it was always good to have something extra in case she didn't know something. That decided both of them headed North on there way to Route 35. Securing her bag on her back she took the first step on her journey. Luffy watching his trainer grinned as well and took his first step as well.

A gust of wind suddenly blew and the straw hat on Luffy's head flew off and went up in the wind. Gasping both of them watched as suddenly a Pidgey flew by and grabbed it from the air and flew off. Both of them stared at it with wide eyes before shouting and running in the direction that the hat and the bird pokemon had flown in. "Hey! Stop you dumb Pidgey." Robin shouted as she and Luffy ran after it and ran into several people who were walking around.

Not watching where they were going they ended up on Route 34 and off on some strange side of it, they had hopped a fence. However they had found the annoying Pidgey who was on a tree branch with the hat in its beak as it chewed on the edges. Stopping in front of the tree Robin pointed a finger at the Pidgey dramatically and shouted at it. "Hand of that hat Pidgey!"

"Pompom!" Luffy shouted angrily hopping up on Robin shoulder and pointing his hand together in an imitation of Robin.

The Pidgey glanced over at them for a second before going back to chewing on the hat. "Gah! Stop it! Thats it! Show it your Fake Out Luffy!" Robin growled.

Grinning Luffy jumped off of Robin's shoulder and jumped at the Pidgey looking like he was going to tackle the bird before he swung around and slammed his tail into the bird. At the hit the Pidgey let out a strangled cry as it fell out of the tree. His hat free Luffy grabbed it and stuck it back on his head with a happy smile on his face.

"Silly Kilik!" Rebecca giggled, "Lickitung can eat almost anything without getting sick!" She swiped the air with her arm, "Now Lickitung, I want you to attack Weezing with Stomp!" The pink creature nodded and clenched its tiny fists. The Pokemon jumped into the air with surprising gusto. It squealed as it extended it's right foot further down.

Weezing looked up with a dazed expression, blinking at the oncoming attack. Sharp pains then went through it's head, but it didn't hurt too bad. His defense was quite high, after all. "Weezing, use your Flamethrower at close range!" Kilik called out. A light smirk appeared on his lips. Rebecca didn't know about his TM buying party in Fuschia City. Weezing's cheeks began to glow a bright red and tears welled up in his eyes. "WEE...ZING!" he cried out, bursting fire from his mouth directly into the now descending Lickitung's stomach, which was somewhat covered by his tongue.

"W-what!?" Rebecca took a step back, lifting her thumb to her lips to bite it lightly, "Flamethrower?!" she shook her head, "Shake off the damage, Lickitung and go with another Rollout!" Following orders like a good Pokemon, the large pink nightmare curled up into a ball again, spinning towards Weezing at a decent speed.

"Weezing, I want you to use Sludge again!" Kilik punched his fist into his palm, laughing a bit. C'mon, Rebecca. Break out of Rollout to eat it again. You know you want to.

"Stop, Lickitung! Eat the Sludge again!" The Pokemon burst out of it's Rollout and extended it's long tongue to devour the Sludge once more. "When will you learn, Kilik?" she giggled then her jaw dropped. Her Lickitung was...stumbling. Dark lines appeared beneath it's eyes. It had been poisoned and he'd taken quite a bit of damage from the attack.

"When will you learn, Rebecca?" the boy laughed heartily, "Pay closer attention to the battle. When Weezing used Flamethrower, the attack also came into contact with your Pokemon's tongue. Lickitung have a special coating on their tongues; that's what makes them so shiny AND what allows them to eat what they want. Burn off that coating," he closed his eyes and a larger smirk played on his lips, "it becomes nothing more than a mere freak with a long tongue! Weezing!" He called up, "End this! Use Thunderbolt!"

She stood frozen. She had been outsmarted - again. Something she didn't even know about her own Pokemon was her downfall. Rebecca winced as her Pokemon cried out in pain as the Thunderbolt hit dead on. When she heard the thud, which was quite loud, the girl recalled her partner. "Fine then, smarty pants. Let's see how you stack up against this!" she tossed another Pokeball. From it came a small green and white Pokemon. It looked like she was wearing a skirt. A red beacon of sorts rested on her head.

"A Kirlia?" he blinked, "Playing type advantages, I see! It won't do much good!" Kilik looked up at his Pokemon, "I'll take out two Pokemon with one! Weezing, get in close and use Explosion!" Weezing sighed heavily. This was always how it ended. Every time Master come against something I no beat easy, I blow up. All time. The Pokemon flew down towards Kirlia and began to glow brightly. Rebecca screamed something over his explosion, but the blast was so loud, it was remarkable if anyone had heard her. Kilik lifted up the Pokeball that Weezing resided in and recalled him. "Yet another Pokemon down." He smirked then he had a very surprised expression on his face. When the smoke cleared, Kirlia was still standing, the remains of a green barrier disappearing.

"So much for that strategy," she cackled, "Right when he was blowing up, I called out for Kirlia to use Protect!" she sighed happily, "It does my heart good to see you fail so much." Kirlia smiled as well and the two laughed at the same time, in the same manner and even the same pitch.

Kilik growled and grabbed the Park Ball from his belt. "You've gotten me mad now. And there's one Pokemon that I've got that'll be a personification of my rage. I choose...Scizor!" He flung the ball. When the ball opened, Scizor came forth in a brilliant shine of light. She stood proud on the battlefield, crossing her arms over her chest, glaring down at Kirlia. "I can play type advantages, too." Kilik crossed his arms across his chest in a very cocky manner, standing in the same position as his Scizor. Round three was about to begin.

Not that he expected the area to change much, Route 120 still had the annoyingly tall grass, causing Mike to severely hold back his wish for Nitro to just level the whole area. "No no," The boy said to himself. "must not cause a brush fire." Mike then continued walking as if he'd said nothing odd at all.

The Chairzard stopped dead in his tracks, shooting the most perplexed look at his trainer. "...what the hell is wrong with you!?" Nitro screamed, throwing his arms up in the air. Unfortunately, as he soon remembered, humans could not ascertain squat from random growls and roars. The Pokemon smacked his forehead, truly wondering the mental stability of the boy ahead of him.

As the duo continued their afternoon walk, they made it to the bridge where Mike had captured Powalski. He chuckled at how badly that low level runt showed big bad Nitro up, and continued walking at a briskly pace before he had a chance to be shoved into the water, still giggling to himself.

A few moments passed and the two were greeted with an ominous set of clouds which seemed to float immobile a few dozen meters ahead of them. Mike felt a light breeze on his cheek but was confused when he saw no signs of movement from the sky bound puff balls. They were releasing a decent amount of rain, which coupled with the non-moving nature of the clouds and the intensity of the downpour, seemed to form a sort of aquatic curtain. The two weren't in the mood for getting soaked, so they decided to wait and see if it would clear up.

Hours passed. Nothing cleared.

"You know," Mike started, visibly frustrated. "I've seen some odd things in my life, but clouds that claim territorial possession is just silly." Nitro snorted in agreement. The boy and his Pokemon sat down once more, hoping that either the rain would clear up or something would just burst out from it to keep them entertained. From how bored they were, it'd have to be Groudon carrying a boom box playing Queen to allow such a perplexing bend of the rules of nature to get away with this blasphemy.

Ulani, after having been fed some of that heavenly food that might even surpass M.A.'s (this she guiltily denied in her head a moment later, as if such a thought must offend her master), sat back and watched the Totodile and his reunion with the old folks. My, my. . . didn't he look so happy? It was just warming, totally warming. She didn't even know that he could even look half as blissful as he did at the moment.

"Twee~ maybe, maybe we should leave him here for now. He's in good hands, and our trainers are taking pretty long. . ." An uneasy feeling settled in the bird's stomach, and it wasn't indigestion. What if something happened? Ah, no, she was just being paranoid. "Maybe they're lost, we oughta go find them."

______//

Mary-Anne was just a split second behind Ky, reacting after she had seen him take off. "I think someone's in trouble. . . Someone we know," she said, racing through he words before the momentum took control of her legs. Behind her, she could hear the twins stumbling to follow; they'd have to take a little detour on their way to their Totodile, now. It didn't take long to find where the ruckus was at -- a relatively miniature sandstorm was blasting through the area, practically veiling the whole opening. "Ky!" she called to no avail; the wind whipped her words around, attracting another Pokemon's unwanted attention instead. A grinning Haunter materialized above her, wavering through the gusty sand. Its eyes glowed an eerie, hostile yellowish-white, and M.A., temporarily entranced by the light, suddenly found that her legs had become frozen to the spot. Was that. . . Mean Look? Uh-oh, she thought grimly, biting her lip as sand whipped painfully about her; her hair-tie was lost to the wind, setting her long brunette hair wild. Daemyn was duly alarmed, sitting up alertly in her arms for a second before wincing from the Sandstorm and nesting in her arms once more.

Mary-Anne suddenly felt a weight tackle her, causing her to stumble over and fall; surprised, she looked down to make out ever-energetic Tora near her, nudging M.A. to stay down for now. Then, the little elephant's attention spun to the ghost menacingly, but with poorly hidden excitement -- a fight, a fight! The Phanpy nearly salivated at the thought as her tough skin repelled the sandstorm altogether. Rolling into a ball, she burst into movement, spinning around madly in a large elliptical pattern (and nearly crashing into M.A. in some instances, even coming ridiculously close to Larvitar) into suddenly she pushed into the air, side-sweeping the astonished Haunter to the ground before landing once more and speeding up further and further, losing nearly all sense of direction as she did. Oh man, was she gonna be dizzy after this!

The battle was not over though, Luffy was simply not strong enough to knock the Pidgey out with just one Fake Out attack. The angry bird pokemon flew up and made to tackle the happy now hat wearing Aipom when suddenly it felt a sudden pain in its body and fell to the ground again. The secondary effects of Fake Out were kicking in, the 100% chance of flinching. Done with there little party Robin grinned at the small bird before shouting another order at her only pokemon. "All right Luffy! Lets use your Scratch attack!"

Liking the sound of that Luffy jumped down at the small Pidgey and using the large hand on his tail he Swiped it on the fallen bird pokemon before jumping back. The Scratch on its face seemed to shake the Pidgey out of its flinch and pushing itself up it gave an angry shriek before charging at the Straw hat with an anger powered Tackle. This time it did hit and Luffy and the small Aipom fell back as the Critical Hit Tackle hit him in the stomach. Giving out a small cry Luffy pushed himself back up and growled slightly at the other pokemon but waited for an attack order from his trainer.

Lucky for Luffy Robin was ready to issue another attack order. "Lets have another Scratch attack Luffy!" She ordered with a grin on her face. This was her first battle and she wanted to win. No grin on his face this time Luffy dashed forward and swiped at the Pidgey again with his tail. The small bird pokemon gave out another cry before falling to the ground again this time and it didn't get up.

Staring at the other pokemon for a moment both Robin and Luffy were silent before running to each other and giving the other a big hug. "Yay! We won! We won our first battle!" Robin shouted while Luffy cheered and she jumped up and down happily with Luffy in her grasp.

After settling down they both looked around and after spotting the fence they both came back to the path and headed back to Goldenrod city. However after entering that battle with the Pidgey Luffy had taken damage and they needed to heal up in the Pokemon Center. Walking excitedly through the sliding glass door Robin walked up to the counter Luffy still in her arms. "Hello Nurse Joy! Could you please heal Luffy up for me?"

"Of course I can." The bubblegum haired nurse said and took the energetic purple and white pokemon and took him into the back room. Waiting for a moment leaning against the counter the euphoria of her first win still running through her. A moment latter Nurse Joy came back with Luffy in her arms. "You certainly have an energetic little Aipom here." She smiled and handed the smiling Aipom back.

"Thank you Nurse Joy." Robin said as she set the monkey down. Heading back outside they both headed up north again towards Route 35.

Jaeshan could barely blink in time, let alone react to the Solarbeam as its bright light dazzled the battlefield. It's charge time had been greatly reduced thanks to the intense sun rays, and Butterfree could barely brace herself for the attack. Her type, however, cut the damage significantly, as Flying/Bug types weren't exactly weak to Grass-type attacks; but that didn't mean that it didn't pack a punch. The butterfly had to strain to stop herself from being pushed back, and her two antennae twitched excitedly as she stared down her foe.

"Interesting," Jaeshan mused, scratching his chin. It seemed Gwen had a knack for pairing her TM choices, and he could only wonder what else she had in store for him. Butterfree was definitely able to continue, and he prepared to give his next battle order. "Supersonic attack!"

Her antennae still twitching, Butterfree came forward a bit, her wings flapping at an incredibly high speed. Sonic vibrations were produced from her efforts, and her usually cheerful expression had been replaced by one of determination as she directed the sonic attack at her opponent.

Route 35 was certainly an interesting route that was for sure. As Robin and Luffy walked along they paused some to watch lots of intense looking battles going on between more experienced trainers. There was a battle going on between a Miltank and a Skarmory, one between a Fearow and a Mantine. There were others going on as well but those were all the ones she could see at the moment. Standing to the side Robin was watching the Miltank Skarmory battle, Luffy was sitting on her head and watching, when she felt a tug on her side. Frowning slightly she reached down still not taking her eyes away from the battle and made to brush it away. She let out a small shriek though when she felt something furry bite her hand. "Ouch!" Pulling her hand up into her mouth she glanced around trying to spot the problem. Suddenly Luffy sprung off her head and jumping on a few other people he seemed to be after something. Groaning and making her appologies she followed the little hyper monkey who seemed to be chasing something.

Fingers still in mouth she made it out of the crowd and spotted Luffy chasing after a small Rattata. That was when she noticed something else was in the Rattata's mouth. Narrowing her eyes she noticed that the small rodent was carying her WALLET! "Thief!" She shouted as she started to run after Luffy and the Rattata. Seeing the Rattata jump through the small fence on the side of the road both Luffy and Robin hopped it as well determined to get her money back. "Luffy if you can use Fake Out on that annoying rat!" She shouted angrily.

"PomPom!" Luffy exclaimed and adjusting Hat with his tail he dashed forward and jumped in front of the Rattata before twisting and whapping it with his tail.

The Rattata gave a small cry as it fell back dropping the wallet on the ground. "Hey! Don't attack Scruffy!" A voice shouted as a young boy ran out. He was wearing a pair of dirty shorts and a shirt that might have been white at one time. "Are you ok Scruffy?" He asked worriedly. The small Rattata twitched slightly his muscles frozen due to the flinch, after a moment though it pushed itself up. "Geez lady what is wrong with you!" The boy shouted at her.

"Whats wrong with me!? Your pokemon just stole my wallet! Give it back!" She yelled back. Luffy at her side jumped up and down excitedly, he didn't quite understand what was going on but it sure was exciting!

"No it's mine now you can just get yourself a new wallet!" The kid snapped back snatching the wallet from the ground.

"Grr! You don't get to do that! Let's battle for it! The winner gets the wallet!"

"You're on crazy lady!"

"Go Luffy!" The small Aipom happily adjusted Hat and jumped in front of Robin a confident smile on his face.

"Lets show them Scruffy!" Recovering from its flinch the purple rat jumped out bearing it's teeth at Luffy.

It hadn't been as effective as she would have liked, but Gwen was happy with the attack's outcome anyway. She could see that Jaeshan's Butterfree was starting to really get into the fighting spirit, judging by the way it was watching Clover. The Beautifly returned the other butterfly's gaze with a determined look of her own, her long, hooked mouth quivering excitedly.

Gwen had no idea how to defend against sound waves that were suddenly sent her Pokemon's way, and she had to cover her own ears to try and drown it out. She feebly cried out for Clover to try and shrug it off, but even as the Supersonic died down, she could see that her Beautifly's flight patterns had already started to become slightly erratic.

The bespectacled girl swore mildly under her breath, and scratched her chin. "Try your Gust attack?" she called out, the phrase sounding a lot more like a question than a command. She crossed her fingers behind her back, hoping that Clover could stave off the effects of confusion long enough to launch an attack.

Luck wasn’t on her side this round, however, as the Beautifly launched herself forward in what looked like a wayward Tackle, and more or less threw herself into the branches of a nearby tree. She cried out painfully as the branches and twigs tore at her skin and wings, and she managed to back out of her entanglement and free herself. Stupefaction still held a firm grip on the Beautifly; evident by the horrible screeching sounds she was making that appeared to be directed at a moss-covered rock.

"I hate confusion..." Gwen sighed heavily.
PostPosted: Tue Jan 01, 2008 1:50 pm

Jaeshan didn't want to be glad that Gwen's Pokemon was injuring itself, but he couldn't help but smile as she seemingly shouted nasty things in Pokemon speak at a rock. Butterfree fluttered eagerly in front of her trainer, more into this fight than she ever had been in her entire life. Something about having her wing injured like that really got to her, especially during the week she spent in recuperation. She had no plans of having a repeat performance of injuries such as that, and she could hardly wait for her trainer to issue her a new command.

"Time to really show them we mean business," Jaeshan grinned, seemingly sensing his Pokemon's enthusiasm. "Psychic attack!"

The lovely butterfly's wings stopped flapping all at once as a purple hue started to spread out from where they connected with her body. Soon the aura spread over the rest of her body, with the colour being most prominent in her multi-faceted eyes. The aura then stretched out from the Pokemon like a ghastly, violet hand to try and engulf the Beautifly in its ethereal grasp.

Well since this was a continuation of the battle from before Fake Out was not a move that was available for her to use. A while ago Robin had discovered that little tidbit the hard way. "Ok Luffy use your Sand Attack lets try to lower its accuracy!" A determined look on Luffy's face his tail grabbed some of the dirt on the ground.

"Use your Quick Attack Scruffy!" The dirty little thief shouted for his Rattata. Suddenly it seemed like the small purple rat disappeared and suddenly Luffy felt a pain in his side as the Rattata attacked it.

As if on impulse Luffy let go of the sand in its tail and flung it at the Rattata. Maybe it was luck or maybe Luffy just had good aim but the sand hit the Rattata right in its eyes. The purple rodent gave a small cry and closed its eyes small tears forming as its tried to clear the dirt out of them. "All right! Great job Luffy!" Robin cheered jumping up and down excitedly. A huge lovable grin spread on Luffy's face. "Ok we can't stop now use your Scratch attack!" Robin ordered a big grin still on her face, apparently Luffy's grin was infectious. Grin still on his face Luffy jumped forward his large tail coming down in a strong Scratch attack.

Not able to avoid the attack the Rattata gave out another cry and stumbled slightly before making sure it could still stand. "Hang in there Scruffy!" The young trainer/thief said determination could be heard in his voice. Hearing his trainers confidence the rat opened his eyes and set his stance. "All right, ok lets use that special move we took from that one trainer! Thief!" Grinning the Rattata dashed forward and tackled the Aipom grabbing Hat before Luffy could do anything about it and running back to his trainers side.

"Oh no you did not just steal Hat!" Robin said an angry look on her face. "Lets show him Luffy! Get back Hat!" Before she even finished the statement Luffy had dashed at the Rattata and pinned it to the ground and scratched it hard clearly angry and just deciding to turn this into an all out brawl instead of an actual fight.

"Scizor!" Kilik called out. Scizor's got to know something new, too. Why would she be left out of the affairs? "If you feel something would work the best against this opponent, anything at all, I want you to use it!" Scizor glanced over her shoulder at her trainer then turned back to the Kirlia in front of her. She crouched down a bit then dashed forward, her arms still crossed in front of her chest. Her forearms began to glow with a red light and in a flash, she jumped into the air. For a Steel-type, she can book it.

"Kirlia, use Protect again!" Rebecca barked. The ballerina closed her eyes and held up her tiny arms to form another green barrier around her.

"Sciii...ZOR!" the Pokemon slashed her arms in the shape of an X and the red light was shot forward in the shape. The glowing red X pushed harshly against the barrier, as if trying to break it as best it could. Scizor growled lowly, keeping her focus. Lighting crackled from the connection point between her attack and the Protect.

Kirlia was visibly sweating. The Pokemon pushed harder, but lost her focus. The Protect failed and she felt her body become ravaged by the X. With a shrill cry, she fell to the ground, completely immobile. Rebecca let out a cry and ran over to her Pokemon's side. "Kirlia, are you okay?" The Pokemon didn't move much, but let out a light cry. "You...you can't battle like this!" she picked up her Pokemon then looked over at Kilik with a cold glare. "That's not fair!"

"Not fair?" Kilik blinked, "She's too low of a level to compare to Scizor. If she was even level 30, she'd be a Gardevoir by now." The boy slipped his hands into his pockets. "If I were you, I'd throw the battle now and take Kirlia to the Pokemon Center. She's in critical condition." The boy recalled Scizor and put the ball against belt. Kilik turned his back and started walking back up the path where he first found Sudowoodo.

"Rest assured, Kilik! I'll beat you yet!" Rebecca snapped then started running the opposite direction towards the Violet City Pokemon Center.

Kilik shook his head. "No you won't," he whispered.

It didn't take to long for the small rodent to faint. An angry look on Luffy's face he went over and grabbed Hat and stuck it on his head. 'You shouldn't take other peoples things.' The small Aipom seemed to be saying before grabbing the wallet from the dirty trainer. Bringing it back to Robin he jumped back up onto her shoulder. "I hope that will teach you a lesson about taking other peoples valuables." She said with a frown on her face. "If you want money or something you should battle other trainers in order to get stronger. Also if you are a trainer you can take showers at the Pokemon Center, you might want to do that." She offered before turning around and walked away.

Heading back to the path she hopped back over the fence and headed back up north or Route 35. There were battles still going on but Robin wasn't interested in them anymore, she was still pouting kinda. Luffy though seemed to be fine his anger from before gone. In fact the small monkey was jumping all around running around and looking at all the battles excitedly. Truth be told he was looking to see if there were any idea's that could get for his own battles. Granted he got a lot from anime, especially from the character from which he was named. Meanwhile Robin seemed to snap out of it and was becoming more and more like her usual self. Before she knew it she was at the gates to the National Park.
