thanks, no, I'm sorry, I shouldn't complain, it isn't much. There are worse things in life.
Wow. I always thought of Catholics as being...more liberal abot religion than some groups sweatdrop That makes no sense WHATSOEVER. Law is based on morality. It is the moral standard of the people. Discriminating on religion is as bad as racial discimination. "He's black, might rule in favor of black people after all." "She's a woman, don't want those women ruling in favor of women unfairly!" Please. Imagine trying to pass that one. This is religious discrimination, and if they need to stoop that low...I dunno if America's worth living in they get away with it. I'm becoming rapidly disenchanted. I find nothing left in American law or government that made America so endearing to me, the love of justice and doing what is fair and right. Freedom, equal opportunity, justice, where is that? Nowhere that I can see. It's sad.

Xiterrose It's all about that blasted pursuit of happiness! scream I pursue happiness all the time. The only way to truly be happy is to do God's Will. Material pleasures are fleeting. The best way to be happy is to be yourself. The only way to be yourself is to do what God put you on this earth to do. The only way to do that is to love Him. The best road to happiness is God. At least, to me.... xd Any law that can be done can be undone. I think Roe v. Wade taught that one. First it was you can't do anything until after the first kick was felt; then when they found out life begins at conception, baby was protected from conception by law. Then that was undone though. The terrifying thing about law is that the most horrifying things in the world can be legal. Everything Hitler did was legal. Slavery was legal. They might be legal again someday, in countries like the US and Canada. The only thing that's stopping it is the views of the people at the moment. It might change, slavery may be brought back into practice. Child abuse may be legal again, spousal abuse as well. The right to vote could be given back to only white male landowners, or flipped to only black female hobos (well...okay, that'd be unlikely...) and there's not a thing anyone else could do. When someone decides you are less than God's creation, you are at risk because you become a non-person to them, just a number. Bah. Maybe the world should end now and God could save us the trouble of wiping ourselves out. That's why law isn't my moral basis and what convinces me despite the normal temptation to join most of my peers in the godless lifestyle that religion is true and above all others Christianity is true. it is the way, JESUS is the way. I'll abide by law of the land, but it won't ever be my moral standard. I will never be able to say something is right based on it being legal. I just can't. Maybe I'm crazy, but it makes no sense to do that. Sorry. I see good in everyone and everything. There is a silver lining to every cloud to me, there truly is. I can't think of a situation where I haven't been able to find some good in it. Maybe the bad outweighs the good, I dunno, I'm not the judge of that. But I have a very low opinion of the human race. We're born sinners and the many of us are happy to act on it until we die. We're not worthy to be loved by God. I don't see why He bothers with us, except that He loves us and He has His reasons. Some people in my class laughed at Jonathan Edwards in American Lit, but I dunno. Humans are not the ultimate authority in the universe, they'd do well to realize it.

okay. I need to work on that one. I have a lot of faith in the good that people CAN do should they try to follow Jesus. I have not much in how many actually try, though. It's easy for me to get myself worked up about it.

I will, I will. He's a good guy. And if he isn't, well, I'll know and beat the hell outta him if he decides to act on it. I've talked to my parents, I"m lucky I have them, they'll keep an eye on him and tell me if they have any concerns. Which I will take into very serious consideration, considering if the two people I look up to most on this earth have a problem with something, maybe thre's something wrong....
I hate it when people insist that everyone else is wrong and then come back bedraggled and asking for help. I'll help, but it's like...common sense, dear, try and get some. But we all make mistakes in life and love, I best make them while I'm safe at home if I ever do.

Oh wow, just found this. Which I like...sorta.
http://www.all-creatures.org/hr/hra-popecats.htm
Now they annoy me because they use it to put cats right up there with people, sorta, and use it as an example of the former pope's caring for animals. Why's it annoy me? God set Adam in the garden to name the animals, he put man above all creatures and made man in His image and likeness, but it's our responsibility to make sure not to mistreat animals. I'm not saying things like "meat is murder" because well, that's survival, humans are healthiest as omnivores, I firmly believe God put many animals on this earth so we'd have a source of food and also comfort...dogs, cats, how many humans find comfort in animals? I'm an extreme cat-lover. It's sad, people I know see anything cat related and think, "Oh, Kate!" I have found myself many nights wondering if God had left me without a friend on earth and looked down to see my cat purring and waiting to comfort me. Well alright, that cat died, these cats sorta like, butt their heads against my face when I'm upset and try to stop me from crying, lol, my point is just, they feel pain and hunger and humans have an obligation to not purposely mistreat them because God gave us the responsibility when he gave us the privilege of being His children.
But....that dream to me is just a mix of the poor woman who gave her only coins to the temple and the good samaritan. All these people who were figures of generous people and Christians were turning away a hungry creature, which I felt stood for just the needy, not cats, maybe I'm wrong but that seems much more likely....and then a little old lady who hadn't much took it in. Sounds much more a lesson of being a christian in deed and not name.
The St. Francis thing, yes, good point there, but the dream seems a bit far-fetched. but maybe a cigar is just a cigar.
