As for Land raider mods, we dont need anymore, GW could just officially publish the rules for the Forgeworld ones in a chapter approved rather than them being imperial Armor variants. I think they have at least two. A command one with heavy bolters, and one with a whirlwind launcher.

you are correct: there are 2 land raider variants found in Imperial Armor volume 2, the Prometheus (4 twin-linked heavy bolters and special reserves rule) and the Helios (lascannons and a whirlwing launcher).
While they're at it, they might as well put in the Damocles Command Rhino (HQ rhino-- gives marines access to orbital strikes), the Siege dreadnaught (inferno cannon, heavy flamer and a fist o' doom) and mortis pattern for Dark Angels players.

Quote:
It could be one of those rare things that some chapter masters keep hidden in their armouries, much like the Vindicator, which is such a specialist tank that almost nobody uses it unless the objective says so.

....unless you're a player that's learned the vindicator is amongst the best tanks in the 40k universe. Not to mention the Vindicator is practically a must-have if you play city-fight or siege style battle.
I could definently see the advantages of a Terminus, but yeah-- I would imagine they're pretty rare.

Nice. I don't have many of the single-model Elite choices...

For Iron Hands: Tech Priest + Terminator Armor + Full Servo Harness + Thunderhammer = Ungodly amount of PF attacks. Add that to 4 Combat Servitors, you get 18 S6 PF attacks on the charge, then 7 S8 PF attacks on the charge.

Cheese in it's purest form. Pop that right outta Land Raider, with a PF/TH-armed Chaplain....

Ungodly amount of points, too, with not many wounds before it dies.

and things that go at initiative with power weapons will eat them too...
like bloodthirsters!
and if your opponent guess whats in the raider?
"hey! why're all those rockets and lascannons hitting us?"

Thats why they're better in bulk! wink
But yeah, with that cost and that much HP, better aim at something worth it.
As with everything, it has an advantage and a weakness.

If only the waring factions would accept that fact... emo

Similar subject, I use a Power Fist as a Plague Fist. Plague Wespon...Plague Sword...it's not too bad. It was more for a display piece.

I reckon Grey Knight Terminator bodies with Marine arms and shoulders, painted in a nice blue or black, could look really good.

Dont know about that flower boy, the sizes are alittle bit off, though I like that sword Idea

How off are they? Weren't the Grey Knights the basis for the "new" Termie plastics?
I think the Grey knights are smaller

Does anyone know a good place to get Dark Angels, Deathwings and Ravenwings badges for the shoulder-guards cheaply, preferbly without
credit-card or paypal paying system and other then Forge World? ninja

I have like 60-70 models without chapter badges on them. gonk
And I´m a very poor painter when it comes painting chapter-symbols. crying

I really doubt you can get much of anything on the internet without CC/debit or PayPal, but details aside, there's shoulderpads and then there's Dark Angel bits, including a number of snazzy shoulderpads.

Bugger. cry

I know the bwnits.com and there aren´t any suitable ones,
except the commanders-sprue-set that has Dark Angel symbol with it.
I´m actually suprised that GW hasn´t placed much effort on manufactoring
separate chapter symbols for customers to buy. neutral

As for the shoulderpats, it´s alittle too much of a time and money consuming
project to do. sweatdrop

None if my friends play Dark Angels and so far I´ve only met one person who has a DA army, which is a shopkeeper at GW-store. sweatdrop
