Hello all!
I played clarinet 6 or 7 years.
I'm not in school anymore and I miss band a great deal. actually, I miss playing my clarinet in general. I sent it in a few times to get "fixed" and I swear they traded parts on it that didn't need to be "fixed." well when I got it back some pieces on it were corroding. It didn't decide to break break until it was already paid off and I was out of school though. I pulled it out one day to play, and like half of my clarinet just crumbled in my hand. crying

Okay, trying to start a conversation: Do you guys have auditions for anything coming up? I'm auditioning for all-city band, but that's not for a few more months.

Not really an audition, but we are having regular playing tests to defend ourpositions. If an alternate does better then us, they get our spot and we become the alternate. They are mostly memorized music tests, and so far I am the best in half my section on the tests right now. Everyone else messed up, but not me.

Oh, if you think chair tests count, then I have one next week. I've been practicing really hard so I can move to first chair. Conveniently, it's over our all-city music. biggrin
