What ever happened to that one shouting general dude talking about old Dog Fights in WWII? Actual history They took him to the History-Military Channel. They used to call that channel Wings on our satellite service (my dad is a vet and we are a family of private pilots, soo I remember, LOL) but they changed it because most of the programming was about military stuff anyway.

Eltanin Sadachbia Aakosir Eltanin Sadachbia Aakosir Micarst BTW all - don't forget, the Mayan calendar didn't predict past the year 2012... but then, it might have been a severe case of procrastination on their part. xd Or they were all killed by Cortez. That is the most likely explaination. To me at least.I read about the Mayan Calender back when I was in middle school and got hooked to Central and South American History, back before everything was sensationalized. The big question back then was exactly what year the end of the calendar fell on, and there were several guesses, including 1998, 2005, 2012, and 2019. Then instead of the world coming to an end, a new age was supposed to begin, as it had several times in the past. It wasn't until half educated kooks from the History Channel thought "HEY, We can generate RATINGS from SENSATIONALIZING this!" that we saw the rise in apocalypse theories. It seems the history channel has found all five wannabe prophet scholars who actually have lied themselves into believing that malarkey. In truth, the Mayans believed that nothing ever truly ended, just proceeded to the next age. Basically the way it goes is pretty much summed up in the old adage, "Every ending is really just a new beginning." Thus the calendar was meant to start over again, based on cosmic positioning that still isn't fully understood by modern scientists. Oh that's cool. I did not know that. And that is why I do not really watch history channel anymore. I'll watch if it is about space, but the big bang documentary that have really makes no sense and it contradicts itself...LOL Allot of the History Channel's docu-tainment programs are like that if your really try to follow them. Heck, Sci-fi's paranormal and crypto-hunter shows are more believable than the History Channel anymore. I honestly think that their producers believe that throwing in so many conflicting theories right on top of each other in fast succession gives them the edge. Their angle being, if they create enough confusion to overload the viewers minds, they will only remember what turns out to be true later on down the road. I don't think I could ever let "Cities of the Underground" live down calling a newt a reptile. And don't get me started on so many of their Biblical History shows. I like their "Nova-like" series that truely are just showing proven stuff and giving explanations, but they rarely ever air those anymore, favoring ratings over integrity. Who called a newt a reptile!? That's some BS! I can't stand hearing people call snaked poisonous! They have venom! There is a different! Poison is what a spiders or weird bug has... Not a snake...

Have you ever watched Cities of the Underground? In between each commercial break they ask a question that pertains to what they talked about in the show, yet not something they actually said.
They were doing a show about Ireland's mounds and one of the questions asked something pertaining to the fact that there are no snakes in Ireland, when they came back for the answer, they gave the answer and then when on to say that there are no snakes in Ireland but Newts are abundant, and they are the only reptile to be found there. I about spazzed.
There was another big botch on their show about Troy, but I can't remember it now. It was bad enough to make me turn the channel.

But the newt misinformation is enough to make me not watch it. I think it's pretty common sense that a newt is an amphibion...

Okay, so here's a good one... I was browsing DA and some dude, from a European country, was bitching about how America thinks all of his artistic nude pictures are pornography. Many people commented telling him it is NOT just America, but many other countries who do not like to show sexual items. Then there were a few comments about his gallery being porn so I got curious. And yeap... There were some in there that definitely could have been porn. Plus, he was some old geezer, if that doesn't tell you something else... Sorry to sound biased/stereotypical, but an old geezer who just happens to have a gallery of all "artistic n***s" just does not sound right to me!

Underworld Priestess Eltanin Sadachbia Have you ever watched Cities of the Underground? In between each commercial break they ask a question that pertains to what they talked about in the show, yet not something they actually said. Cities of the Underground is such an awesome show! I used to like it before I started paying attention to the crap they claim. It's funny, but the whole newt/reptile thing made me start paying attention, and then I realized that allot of what they said on the show was outdated info, or straight up wrong and never was right. Case-in-point: Newt being reptile ( I told you that I would never let them live that down, my first grader knew the difference!) Now they rank with the rest of the HC's second class shows with me.

What ever happened to that one shouting general dude talking about old Dog Fights in WWII? Actual history I guess the media is just getting desperate because people don't care about saving the rain-forests or about when the civil war in america was etc etc... People want to believe something... anything. Remember Y2K? same thing with the mayan calendar coming up soon... people will get ramped up and then nothing will happen.

I successfully drew a black guy who looks "black" without having to actually color in his skin. I is so happy with myself. ^_^
