Amaryllis shook her head--it was hesitant, and it didn't come immediately, but she shook it nonetheless. "I... As much as I would love to be with him again... I cannot. I reside in a realm out of Hades' domain. I do not know why the Fates have destined this, and it saddens me, but it is how it will be. I cannot return to be amongst the living."

She leaned down and kissed Ares' cheek, even though she knew he would never feel it, never react. "He must simply move on..." Her voice was quiet. "This has been a long time in coming, this breakdown of his mentality."

Ever looked sadly at Amaryllis. She was such a sweet girl and she hated to see her this way. She was so nice and very beautiful. Why couldn't she have been an immortal? She would have been a good influence on Mt. Olympus.

"What exactly is going on, Amaryllis? It is actually pretty nice to talk with you, but I know there has to be a reason you are here."

She shook her head. "Much is going on. I am sure you have already heard of the war." She gave a brief laugh, almost as if she were making fun of herself. "I have always paid close attention to magical wars because of Ares. This war is not unlike others, but it is on a large scale as has not been seen for many years." Her voice was grave and seemed rather sad. "Evermore... You will understand, someday. Ares is the God of War. He... will not act as he normally would for a time yet, but he is needed.

"You must give him space. Let him think. There is much he needs to do, to figure out. I know from experience that the only way he will sort himself out is if he is given time and space. Do not ignore him... But do not approach him, either. It is much to ask, but if you truly wish for anything from him, you must be willing to give first. He will make up for it and more later if you only begin the cycle."
She sighed after her spiel. She seemed sad--not necessarily upset, and not angry--that Ares would ever love anyone but her in an intimate way... But she understood why. She understood that he wouldn't be able to continue life without letting go, since she had died and he never would.

He needed someone that would last as long as he would. A perfect match was not needed--without sounding conceited, she doubted he'd find anyone who would be so fit for him as she (though perhaps she was quite biased in that thought)--so long as a working match was found. Perhaps... perhaps Evermore could provide that. And even if she couldn't... she likely knew someone who could.

Ever winced when Amaryllis started talking about the war. She thought she was going to start trying to convince her to help again, even though she had already agreed to. She thought that the gods were so desperate that they were sending ghosts to talk with her now.

However, when Amaryllis tied the war to Ares, she breathed a small sigh of relief. Thankfully, this was all about Ares.

She was sad when Amaryllis said that she should give Ares space and not contact him, but really, she had been thinking the same thing in the back of her mind. It was really comforting to know that if she did this and Ares came around, he would be able to make up for it and give even more of himself. That would make the time apart a little easier.

This was what was best for Ares, so Ever would be able to do it.

She looked back up at Amaryllis and smiled sadly. "Thank you, Amaryllis, for coming here and telling me this. I know it's taken a lot to do that."

Removing his foot from Musica's back, Nikolaus stepped back a couple steps from the body. Still Musica laid there as if a cold corpse, yet ragged breathing could be heard coming from him. Nikolaus in turn set down Ari and crossed his arms over his chest. "I give you my word, I shall not cause him physical harm." His face betrayed no expression, yet his mind was running wild with thoughts. The eerie silence around them at the lake was slightly foreboding. Just where had the creatures went?

Ari looked him up and down. Could she trust his word? No physical harm... "You can't cause him physical, mental, or magical harm. Got it hotshot?" she panted, the whip digging into her flesh. She wasn't in any position to make threats, but she was plenty angry. Ari looked back to Musica who was laying as still as death. "... I'm sorry, Musica," she whispered, "I'm really, really sorry."

He nodded, that still wouldn't affect his ideas to use Musica for his own. Fortunately she didn't know that. "I suppose I'll humor you as much, yes I agree to your terms." Causing the whip to dissipate in the air he looked down at Ari. He reached out a single hand for her to grasp. "Finish the deal, but be warned. You can't go back on a deal made with a God." Then he smiled madly, knowing that she pretty much trapped to do what he wanted her to do. It was a real pity, he could only control her for so long. After the point of no return, his control would diminish and the deal would be broken. That would mean he no longer had to abide by her terms.

Ari looked at Musica I final time. "Deal," she said, feeling hollow. She took his hand, and gave it a shake. The whip disappeared, and she took a deep breath. Her heart was frantically pumping, almost as if it knew time was short. "... deal," she said again.

Nikolaus then turned around walking off away from the school. Into the depths of the forest and beyond. With his hand he beckoned her to follow her. He knew she could now no longer disobey him, as long as he kept his end of the bargain. He did not turn back around to look at Musica, Nikolaus knew it wouldn't be long until he would be getting up. As he was now, Nikolaus could possibly be vulnerable to Musica. It wouldn't be long until he was a complete powerhouse with the help of this young girl

Ari’s face paled as he beckoned to her. She had to follow now. She quickly dropped to her knees next to Musica, and brushed the hair out of his face in a motherly gesture. ”You need to leave soon,” she pleaded, ”You need to get away.” With a quick kiss to his forehead, she chased after Nikolaus into the depths of the forest.

Amaryllis smiled thinly. "When your Beloved cannot see for themselves, sometimes you must guide them. Sometimes guiding them means to clear their path so they shan't stumble and fall." Her form began to fade, the glow dimming and her entity becoming translucent. "Remember that, Evermore. Sometimes all one needs is nothing, nothing at all. There are things that one must do for oneself."

Nita found a quiet space in the outside lounge area. She sat in a patch of grass, placed her bag at her side, being sure to wrap the strap around her ankle twice, and closed her eyes. With two fingers on her left hand placed at her heart, and two fingers pointing outward from the opposite hand, she began to concentrate on her breathing. Inhale; 1, 2, 3, 4. Exhale; 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8. Inhale; 1, 2, 3, 4 ... In a matter of minutes, her mind was gone, her body finally at peace. She no longer thought of the lousy excuse of a first day she'd had. Gone was the fact that her grandmother was no longer taking any of her calls. This was what she'd been waiting for since noon: the opportunity to come outside, to breath in the fresh air, and take in those last precious moments of sunlight. If only her mother were here to enjoy this...

Nikolaus was leading Ari as far away from the school as possible without delaying his plans. He had made for himself a lair deep in the forest were his followers lurked as well. As part of the son of Baldr, all creatures looked to him in the same light they looked to his father. Whatever his intent they would follow, except for the mistletoe. That plant was the only thing that could harm his father, and so it would be it could hurt him more than most things. Not that it would kill him, not after this. They walked for many hours, watching the sun begin to rise as they began approaching the destination. Demons and the like greeted their master and lord as he walked towards the area of which he hid. These creatures had followed Musica's shadow waiting for this opportunity. Of course he'd kept in contact with them to make sure they followed, there were things he'd done Musica was completely unaware.

Not caring to watch for the young girl following him he continued to walk in the body of Tyler to within the depths of demons and other twisted creatures. They recognized him in this body, so seeing this young boy walk towards them was no surprise. Though they did look quizzically at each other when they saw Ari. In the center was a large table, covered in delicious foods prepared for their master to dine upon. Instead it would serve a much grander purpose, the sacrificial dinner that would be the victim's last meal. It was all just a display really, but Nikolaus did love to put on a great show. Walking over to the head of the table he sat down. He waved a hand for the others to back up and for Ari to sit at the other end. He whispered into the ears of a few demons, telling them to prepare for him a clear area to perform the ceremony.

Musica laid unconscious on the ground, cold and in great pain. That blow to his head wasn't to be messed with, it caused him a lot of damage and would take days to get over it. There had been magic in it, so it was no normal physical wound. Upon opening his eyes he pushed himself off the ground and looked around him with blurry eyes. He was alone, and it was still dark out. Ari nor Nikolaus's aura were anywhere in the vicinity, and silently he cursed to himself for that. Holding on to his aching head he began walking away from the horrendous lake and to the school, he was in no condition to teleport or even just walk home. He'd sleep outside the school and talk to someone in the morning about what had happened.

As he was approaching the school he sensed someone outside as well, and it was a student nonetheless. It wasn't a student he was familiar with, but still a student. Walking over to her from behind he looked down curiously. It was quite late, so what was she doing out here? Surely she hadn't been allowed out here, and besides it wasn't safe here anymore. Gripping his bleeding and aching head he coughed to get her attention. Then he began speaking in his deep German accented voice that drove many mad. He wasn't intently speaking seductively, it just kinda happens sometimes. "Isn't it a bit late to be outside? It's not safe to be alone you know." If she could sense aura she would know he was part God, he was too weak to try and suppress his aura. His icy blue eyes were also a bit of a give away, they revealed much of his power.

Ari was dead tired after a few hours of walking, but she didn't dare complain. Mostly because she didn't want to give him the satisfaction. When they entered the clearing, she grew a bit frightened of the various monsters and demon-creatures gathered. They didn't attack, but she could feel their quizzical stares. She herself was confused but she didn't show it. Instead, she squared her shoulders and marched into the clearing like a princess would. Inside, though, her thoughts were in a frenzy. Did Musica get away? She had a feeling that there would come a point, (quite soon), where his promise and hers would no longer be applicable. She hoped he had enough sense in his head to get himself and her friends away from the school. There was also a sense of loneliness and abandonment. He wasn't here. When he had seen her and Nikolaus by the lake, it was Tyler he had called for, and her barely at all. Maybe Nikolaus had been right. That thought was almost too much to bear.

She obediently sat, glancing down the table to Nikolaus. "... Also was ist das denn?"*

(So what's all this?)
