Robin herself was a bit confused, how had such a slow pokemon hit her speedy Yanma? Well it didn't matter right now, Raz was still up and ready for battle. In the back of her mind she felt the small amount of courage she had gathered start to slip from her grasp, she had to end this fast or she was sure she would loose. "Raz! Use your Faint Attack again." She ordered her voice holding a bit of a tremble now, Robin just hoped that Raz didn't notice it.

If the Yanma did or didn't notice he ignored it and faded from view in a small bit of darkness before appearing on the Slowpoke and landing his Faint Attack on the surprised and slow pokemon, the slowpoke was reacting to the Double Team from before. After landing the attack Raz disappeared in another small cloud of darkness only to appear at Robin's side again. He nodded at her with a confident look on his face, he had just done a lot of damage to the dopey pokemon, though the Slowpoke hadn't exactly registered that yet.

Robin just grinned nervously at Raz when he nodded at her. She had no idea why he had such confidence in her but for whatever reason it was it made her feel somewhat nervous. There was no reason for him to have that kind of trust in her, she had usually sent Raz out into battles he lost, why did he trust her so much? No, no she couldn't think of that right now, Gathering up the remaining shreds of her confidence she reached into her bag and fumbled around some before she pulled out a pokeball. Casting a quick and somewhat worried look at Raz, the Yanma just tried to give her a smile, she nodded and tossed the pokeball out hitting the Slowpoke right between the eyes and sucking it into the ball.

Blythe skipped down the slate pavement of the Slateport plazas, happy as could be. The sun was shining, the Wingull were gull-ing, and people were chattering away, seemingly unaffected by yesterday's events. In fact, all the remnants of the happening seem to have vanished overnight. What's up with that? Blythe shrugged it off as the blue-green sea came into view.

Blythe's eyes light up at the sight. She ran over to the part of the sidewalk that edged off into the sand, overlooking the sea afar. "THE SEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAA" Blythe yelled, hands cupped to mouth. The scream caught many passer-by offguard, some laughing, some glaring the girl down. But Blythe just shot them a smile and skipped on towards the big boathouse, with its many piers jutting of every possible wall-space.

Once inside, Blythe looked around at the departing ferries. There was a ferry to practically each region, Blythe thought. She found herself the pier that was labelled "Sunyshore" and skipped right over. She pulled a wad of cash out of her pocket and handed it to the man at the counter, who rang up a ticket and gave her some cash back. Blythe found herself scrambling to get on, as the final low horn of the boat had just been blown, and the door was closing. She slipped in and plopped herself on the nearest available seat, immediately turning towards the window to watch the ocean pass by.

After breakfast, Kasiya helped with the clean up, which was a little difficult to do seeing as both Allegra and Nova were practically under foot the entire time. "I missed you guys too," she giggled, now balancing the hyperactive Skitty on her head and the energetic Charmander in her arms. Even the usually-stoic Digger was staying closer than usual, though if Kasiya turned to look at him he'd pretend not to notice. I should bring Nova back into my party, she thought, scratching the happy little fire lizard under her chin. But... I don't know if I can... just looking at her... The girl squeezed her eyes shut, remembering the embarrassed yet happy look on his face when he'd given her the gleaming orange egg, and the trusting and loving way he'd smiled at her and held her when the baby had finally hatched. She couldn't shake those images from her mind and a small sob escaped her throat. Just looking at the baby Charmander made her feel horribly guilty even though she knew very well that she hadn't done anything wrong. She wished with all her heart that she could go back to yesterday. She could have done more to keep him from walking away, right? She could have made him listen to her, made him understand that it was all just a bunch of lies brought on by Team Rocket. She could understand why they'd want to get to Mike and Kilik, as those two were obvious thorns in the side, but her? She really didn't consider herself to be a threat, and it wasn't like the redhead had any real exposure to the Rockets to begin with.

An inquisitive little cry from Nova snapped her out of her daydream and Kasiya blinked and looked down at the Charmander. The innocent smile on the creature's face was so endearing Kasiya thought her heart would break and she snuggled the baby gently. I can't neglect Nova just because of what happened... the Summers' trusted me with one of their Pokemon and I can't let them down. I'm going to raise her well, certain stubborn, stupid redheads be damned. She stood up and set Nova on the ground, who immediately started to run after Allegra. Both young Pokemon seemed to have decided that it was playtime, and Kasiya giggled. "Just don't set anything on fire," she called after the two, deciding to head back into the laboratory to see about having her party changed around. It seemed like she was doing that a lot lately, but she figured it was the best way to give all of her Pokemon a chance to spend time in her party and get stronger.

Jaeshan watched the Primeape spring up towards Butterfree, striking her yet again with another well-aimed Karate Chop. Jaeshan was quick to order a counterattack though, calling for a Psybeam which Butterfree fired off fairly quickly. The agile fighter did a handspring to get out of the way, catching sight of the psychic ray as it slammed into the ground, creating a burst of rainbow light. "Again!" commanded Jaeshan, and once again Butterfree sent the beam of light flying at her target. This time it smashed into the Pig Monkey Pokemon's shoulder, causing it to stagger back a bit. Great, Jaeshan thought with a grin. This should be over in no time.

Nidoking and the Machoke, meanwhile, were locked together in fierce combat, and though Jaeshan knew that the latter would normally be much stronger, he sensed Nidoking was a little more experienced, and that would be what was giving him the upper hand for now. Jaeshan watched as the two continued to exchange blows, and as he watched he was more and more certain that Nidoking would come out on top. The Machoke reared back and landed a solid kick to Nidoking's chest, but the latter took it like a champ and came back swinging, landing a powerful punch to his opponent's abdomen.

Div was not amused with the state of things. Why in the world have people decided that boat is an acceptable means of travel? Div thought to himself as his skin began to take on a shade of green that he was sure was quite unnatural. He kept his hand over his mouth to prevent himself from vomiting all over the place. God this is dreadful. He added as he made his way to the deck. "Announcment to all passengers. We will be reaching Vermillion Port in 5 minutes. Thank you." Boomed an announcement from the P.A. to which Div responded with a sigh of gleeful relief. He wanted to be on dry land so bad. He was so sick of the constant rocking of the sea and the mass of people he had to wade through to get anywhere on the boat. And of course he got challenged by trainers constantly when they saw his one pokeball. He couldn't count the number of times that he had to explain that he couldn't open it today. Most trainers either didn't believe him or tried to coax him into breaking his promise. Why can't people just let me have this one stupid point of honor. Is everyone so selfish they think a single battle is more important than my righteousness as a person? He asked himself once more, not expecting a happy answer. Of course they are. They are people after all. He thought with an undignified snort. God he was in a bad mood.

Div's miserable state distracted him long enough for the ferry to arrive at its destination. "We have docked at Vermillion Port. All designated passengers may now exit." The P.A. announced once more and Div was snapped out of his nauseous stupor. While everyone was making their eventual way towards the exit, Div was pushing to get there post haste. He already had everything he owned in his backpack so there was no need to go back to his room and pack up. His haste was motivated by both his disdain for the entire boating experience and his desire to know which pokemon his parents had given him. He knew his parents were slightly eccentric so he didn't expect a traditional starter. They were very proud of the their homeland so the pokemon would definitely by from Sinnoh. Other than that it was anyone's guess. Div was hoping for something that wasn't completely lame.

Div was tempted to get on his knees and kiss the ground as he finally got off the dreaded boat. He gave it one last look of contempt over his shoulder and then walked off the pier and onto actual earth. He was surprised at the warmth. He had learned that the other regions were warmer than Sinnoh in school but he had never expected it to be balmy so close to the cool ocean. He unzipped his vest and fanned himself lightly. Oh well. I'll get used to it. On to the actual important thing of the day. He thought to himself rolling the miniaturized pokeball between his fingers. He was slightly anxious to open it but knew he had no reason to be worried. His parents had good taste and would never abandon him with a total stinker of a pokemon. He took a deep breath and pressed the center button of the pokeball a single time. It expanded suddenly in his hand, causing him to drop it in surprise. It landed on the button again and it opened with a dazzling red flash. A red shape formed and began to take the form of . . . was that a tree. It was about three feet tall, bipedal with two arms. It was rounded at the bottom and had three points on top. It looked vaguely familiar but Div could not quite get the name off the tip of his tongue. The red glow faded and the figure turned white at the top with a brown torso and bottom. The tips of its arms were leaf green as well. Underneath the cap on its head were two small eyes with light green irises. "They gave me a-" Z started in disbelief when his pokedex chimed in. "Snover. The frosted tree pokemon. It rarely encounters people and is very curious about them. It grows flavorful berries on its belly during the spring." The pokedex said in a wildly inappropriate seductive female voice. "Its moves are Powder Snow, Leer and Razor Leaf. It is level 5." It added and Z could almost swear he heard it moan near the end.

PostPosted: Sun Apr 05, 2009 11:01 pm

The dark skinned boy was at a loss for words. Of all the pokemon my parents could have picked they chose a Snover? Z asked himself, his face that of the truly baffled. It wasn't so much bad as it was . . . completely and utterly random. Neither he nor his parents were really nature people so a grass type wasn't really expected and they had once spent a miserable vacation in Snowpoint and had no intention of going back. They liked the Sinnoh chill but were truly appalled by the actual frigid weather of the northern city. An ice type was totally against their character. He would have to ask his parents about their choice the next time he called. Div wasn't displeased really. For such a low level pokemon the Snover had some good moves that would work well in a contest. And the thing was pretty adorable. Div looked down at the thing to see that it had been standing their holding its hand out since it had been released. Div was slightly taken aback but decided to play along. He tried to shake the things hand but the Tree's other hand reached up and smacked his hand away. The thing gave an indignant look up and nodded his head at the hand again. "Oh" Div said in surprise. He would have been offended but the sheer brashnest of the request inspired some respect in him. He got down on one knee and very slowly and carefully kissed the back of the Snover's hand.

The Snover gave a happy squeal and patted Div on the head joyously. He seemed to have knighted Div to be under his service or something. Div would allow the pokemon to have whatever delusions it wanted as long as it would cooperate. It was getting rather annoying refering to his new-found ally as 'The Snover' so he decided it was time to name it. He thought for a moment and decided he didn't care mucha botu the name. He held up his Poketch V2.5 and activated the music application. He shuffled it and a random song began playing. "Ah. That is as good as any." He said to himself with a light chortle. "I dub thee sir Franz. Of Ferdinand fame." He said putting his hand on the Snover's shoulder.

It was pitch black and cold as hell, Nitro's flaming tail doing little to push back the black void of nothingness that surrounded the two on their aerial voyage to Hoenn. Milo stood atop his Pokemon perch, unaffected by the cutting winds as he mulled over ideas in his head. The occasional sinister chuckle could be heard whenever he thought up something particularly devious. "You know Charizard, it's funny." he said, half speaking to himself. "One would view what we're about to do with disdain, hatred, and immediate retaliation if they have the stones for it. But in truth, we're just showing what anyone is capable of given the right stimuli. People are inherently evil and selfish at heart, so why bother denying that?" Milo took in a deep breath. "Any illusion of compassion for others is merely a smokescreen to hide your own self-centered desires. Take for example the situation with the palm tree. The baby boy claims to hold her in the deepest and most precious regard, but in truth he only pines for her so he can feel accepted and appreciated. His entire life has been nothing but one quest for validation after another. It's enough to make me sick." Milo let out an angry snort. "What is the point of trying so hard to get people to accept you when the only thing they care about is themselves? Don't you see how pointless it is? We are alone in the world, struggling for some sort of group identity, but even that is only based on our own personal take on things. We're better off as solitary people, it doesn't cloud our minds with pointless feelings of togetherness and love."

Nitro chose to ignore his ranting trainer, both because of his lack of understanding and he didn't feel like dealing with how 'Mike' was at the moment. He had never said anything like this in all his years of knowing him. Mike certainly wasn't himself today. If only the Charizard knew the whole story...

The duo traveled fora few more hours before Nitro couldn't take it anymore and despite Milo's vocal criticism, landed somewhere in Johto to rest. "Fine." Milo growled, stepping down from Charizard's back and recalling him. "We're leaving shortly so you better be ready." He removed his backpack and examined the Pokeballs that lined the strap. The boy vaguely recalled his other half blubbering to their mother and asking that she make a few changes to his roster. "That moron better have picked at least some of the good ones in the sorry lot he calls Pokemon." One by one Milo released what would be his new team for inspection. Not counting the now snoozing Nitro resting in his Pokeball, the new party consisted of the Breloom, the Steelix, the Magneton, the Magmar and..."What?" Milo said with raised eyebrows at the tiny Omantye. "Wh-what is this infant doing here?" he scowled. "Out of all his Pokemon, he picks the one that just poked its slimy head out from the dirt? Hell, I would have even preferred the retarded one over this squirt!" Camerae looked up in confusion, unaware of what exactly his trainer was talking about. Portabello's eyes narrowed as the boy raved in displeasure, his clawed hands and feet tightening in anger.

"Well whatever. I guess we all start somewhere." Milo said through grit teeth, turning his attention to the rest of the lot. "Alright Pokemon, straighten up for inspection!" Surprised at his sudden change in attitude, the monsters did as they were told and stiffened their posture into more respectable poses, some more than others. You try standing at attention when you're a floating collection of magnets. Milo walked down the line, eying the Pokemon that stood before him. He remembered Mike's previous battles and the potential these creatures had. "If only he trained you right..." he said to himself. "Then maybe you'd all be halfway decent." Napalm in particular took this statement with marked confusion. What? He didn't understand this sudden switch in attitude. Just a few hours ago he was telling him just how amazing he was, the two of them enjoying a moment following his evolution and victory over Surge. The Magmar stepped forward curiously, was something bothering his trainer? "You, back in line!" Milo snapped to the fire Pokemon. Napalm, completely taken back by his tone, hurriedly stepped back in position. The other Pokemon watching this stiffened up, their trainer was clearly mad about something. Portabello however, remained uncharacteristically relaxed, his arms crossed and his eyes shut. Milo could sense the Breloom's disrespect and angrily walked towards the Pokemon. "I seem to recall you being a bit more formal than this, mushroom." He leaned forward and glared. "Aren't you supposed to be the respectful and orderly one of the group?" The Breloom outright ignored the boy's question, causing Milo to literally shake in anger. "Breloom, I demand you show me respect as your trainer, no, your master and straighten up!"

No.

Dakra eyed the Pidgey, and looked at Sherlock. "What do you think, would he make a good team mate? Sherlock hesitated, looked at the Pidgey, and slowly nodded. "Ok then, lets catch him!!!" Dakra threw a Pokeball, which hit the Pidgey right on the forehead. He disappered into a red light, which was caught by the Pokeball. It landed on the ground and shook once. Dakra's palms grew sweaty, and he grited his teeth. Twice... Sherlock shook, and buried his head into the ground. Three times... "Come on..." Whisped Dakra. The Pokeball stopped moving, and Dakra jumped up into the air...but a little to soon. The Pokeball burst open, and the Pidgey came back out.

The newly dubbed Franz stood silently for a moment, appraising his new name. After about of minute of awkward silence he nodded and shook Div's hand from his shoulder. "Well it is nice to see we are in agreement." Div said with a smile, not entirely sure what to do next. Franz rolled his eyes. Humans sure do love to state the obvious. He thought dryly to himself as he turned around. He gazed upon the city and grimaced. It stood as a testament to the ridiculous lengths humans would go through to fight nature. Oh well. He thought. Iif it means fame I don't particularly care about associating with lesser beings. He added, his grimace breaking into a smirk. Just as he was about to go into an opinionated mental rant about his personal need for fame and humanity's ability to provide it, he was suddenly and rudely interrupted. Div looked up from his new ally to see a boy around his age standing in front of Franz. The boy was wearing a baseball cap tilted to the side and clothes that were baggy to a degree that could only be a parody. He hoped it was a parody anyway.

"Yoyoyo." The kid said and Div almost burst out laughing. Apparently not. He thought and out his hand over his mouth to hold the laughter in. "I saw dat you was just meetin your pokemon for da first time and since we both be new I was thinking that we should test our skillz on each udda." He continued with the worst ghetto accent Div had ever heard. Div was about to state that he was a coordinator so he wasn't interested in pokemon battles but something came to mind. Battles are good practice for the Preliminary and final rounds of pokemon contests. Plus it will let me see what Franz can do. And really I could never refuse wiping that fake ghetto clown off the face of this earth. I bet he has a trust fund. Div thought his smile turning more and more evil as he pondered his reasons to fight. "Fine, why not. Lets have a one on one match between Franz and your . . . whatever you have." Div said looking down at Franz who seemed to agree with him wholeheartedly.
PostPosted: Mon Apr 06, 2009 9:55 pm

"Bitchin." The teen said making some gesture with his hand that div assumed was intended for emphasis. "Lets roll Patron!" He said throwing his ball, Div could have sworn the thing was gold, and jumping back. Who the ******** names their pokemon after a drink? I mean that's just tacky. Div thought to himself at the announcement of the pokemons name. In a flash of familiar red light a floating figure appeared. A flying type? Div started to prepare strategies against a bird pokemon. When the red glow appeared Div was surprised to see an electric pokemon floating there. That is definately a Kanto breed. Electric and . . . steel was it? Clearly related to magnets. It's on the tip of my tongue. Div thought to himself, trying to figure out what pokemon he was facing. Magna, Magna, no Magne. Magnetite? Magnetin? None of those sounded right. "Magnemite, the Magnet Pokemon. The units at its sides generate electromagnetic waves that keep it airborne. The faster they rotate the greater the electromagnetic force. It feeds on electricity." Chimed in his pokedex before he could finish his thoughts. Div was absolutely sure he heard it make a sound similar to licking its lips before it said 'force'. Div didn't have time to be creeped out by that so he instead focused on the battle that was about to start. "Kick a** Franz. This is your chance to show me how great you are." He said, hoping that would get the egotistical pokemon wiled up. Just as he expected the Frosted Tree pokemon let loose a cry and got into a pose that appeared to be for fisticuffs. Which was kind of pointless seeing as their opponent didn't have any fists. "You can start if you want to." Div stated arrogantly. He knew he could beat someone so clearly idiotic, he might as well make it a fair fight.

"Yoyoyo Patron why don't you ball these suckas with a Thundershock?" The kid said boisterously in his ridiculous rapper voice. The Magnet pokemon's magnet's started whirling around at its sides. Its single eye furrowed into a glare and with what sounded like metal scratching against metal, it fired a blast of electricity at the Snover. Franz planted his hands on the ground, ready to take the attack head-on. "Good choice. You should be fine. Grass types resist electric types easily." Z said with a smirk, he hadn't even considered type advantages until now. The electricity slammed right into Franz and coursed through his torso and limbs. After a moment it filtered down through the ground leaving very little damage on the frosty pokemon. He stood up with a victorious smirk and waited for instructions from Div. "Good job dude. Hit back with Powder Snow!" Div declared, pointing at the Magnemite as if it said something objectionable. Franz grimaced but nodded his consent. Bad choice. The stupid floating magnet is much more susceptible to physical attacks. But now really isn't the time to show disobedience. Franz thought as he raised his leafy hands. They shook lightly and the green ends became frosted over with snow. Suddenly they began spraying crystal white snow straight at the floating pokemon. Patron dodged the first stream but ran into the other in the process. After being pelted with snow for a few moments the blast died off and the Magnemite quickly shook off the white sheet he was covered with. He, or rather it, looked mostly undamaged but rather annoyed. "Good job Franz. Way to show that ridiculous piece of metal who's bo-"Div started before being hit in the face with something traveling at an uncomfortable speed. "OW. Son of a Blastoise. Who the hell threw a rock at me?" Div asked, rubbing his face. He kneeled to the ground to pick up the offending object and found that it wasn't a rock. ". . . Hail? Oh right." Div started as he realized what was about to happen. He took a number of steps back from the battlefield, just in time for it to start hailing like crazy with Franz at the center of the storm.

"...no?" Milo inquired in a mix of curiosity and rage, his false smile betrayed by his grit teeth. "And what makes you think that you, a Pokemon have any right to disobey me, your master?"

Because you are not my master. Portabello replied, still looking away from the boy.

"Oh?" Milo said with a chuckle. "Who else could I be but the one and only, in the flesh?"

You forget, said the Breloom, turning to look Milo in the eye. I can read minds. And after spending so much time with my real master and listening to his stray thoughts, I grew to learn how his mind worked. Though scrambled and nearly incoherent, it was how he was. But when I look into your mind, it's different. You're calm and quiet. I don't like it. That's how I know you're not my master, and that's why I won't obey you.

Milo merely smiled at the Pokemon's defiance. "If you were half as good a telepath as you claim to be, you would have noticed my presence sooner. Not to mention, you don't know us half as well as you think you do, otherwise you'd understand I'm more Mike Kyoka than he is. But you're just a stupid Pokemon, so TOO BAD!" He leaned forward and laughed right in the Breloom's face, cutting off his reply by recalling him back into his Pokeball. "And Iiii-winnnnnnn-ahahahaha!!" Milo leaned his head back and rolled it over to the side to face his other Pokemon. "Any other mutineers?"

They all shook their heads.

"Good." Milo replied, fixing his hair. "We've got some training to do."

Looking back at the fancy hotel, Ryka decided it was just too fancy for her. After all, she was a very simple girl. I will have to thank Jaeshan immensely when I see him again.. Was what ran through her mind. It may have been a bit too fancy, but it was very, very pleasant. She felt as though she had been a burden on him.. he had given her a room to stay in, and there she was, barely talking to him during the stay! "But surely we will see him again.." Ryka said in a wispy, daydreamy voice.. "after we go to the Vermillion Gym, no?" Ryka flashed a small smile to Iris, and the two walked down the pavement toward the boathouse.

"There are so many people.." Ryka gasped, quite thankful for her height. She was oh so far from being tall, but she wasn't short either. She sat comfortably in the middle, although still a bit taller than most girls her age. Using this advantage, she was able to see over most of the crowd and spot the pier labeled "Vermillion City". Ryka scooped up her purple companion and dashed off -- not actually running, of course, for ladies didn't run. At the ticket counter, she silent purchased a one-way ticket to Vermillion, and waltzed her way onto the ferry. She picked a comfortable seat in the middle of the ferry, facing the window. Iris sat next to her obediently, enjoying the petting her ears were getting.

The pokeball rocked for a long time and Robin was sure that the Slowpoke was going to burst out of it at any moment. Both Razputin and her watched it rock the Slowpoke fighting its capture. It was a long moment before a loud 'DING' came from the ball as it did its job. Robin couldn't believe it, she had actually caught the thing? Damn, ok well then, glancing over at Raz she sighed at the happy look on his face. "Well then, it seems we have a new team member." She muttered as she went over and picked the pokeball up and studied it for a second. Sighing she shook her head her ponytail swinging behind her. Great she wished she hadn't caught the damn thing, she didn't think she could raise another pokemon right now. Biting her bottom lip Robin glanced over to where Raz was flying around behind her. "All right lets head back to the pokemon center, again. Besides, I need to pick Luffy and Brook up as well as get you healed again along with this Slowpoke." She muttered. Raz just chattered behind her as they slowly made their way back.

The walk back had been pleasant, Robin was rolling Slowpokes pokeball in her hand the whole way back. She might not be in the best emotional state right now but that didn't mean she would neglect her duties. Slowpoke had trusted her enough to battle for his loyalty and she had won it, she might not be the best but damn it she would try. When she walked through the doors of the pokemon center she was greeted to Brook floating over to her and landed on her shoulder where Luffy used to rest. "Hello there Brook, glad to see that you are feeling better." She said with a small smile. The flying/grass type pokemon just smiled at her and poked an antenna like leaf towards Luffy who was standing on one of his tails and waving at her. He might not battle with her but that didn't mean he hated her. Grinning weakly back Robin went over to Nurse Joy Raz following her easily. "Sorry to bug you again with this but could you heal my Yanma again and this Slowpoke?"

Nurse Joy just smiled at her as she took the pokeball and held her arm out for Razputin to land on. "I take it you had an interesting time at the lake front." Robin just nodded. " Well then I am glad that you had a good time." With that said she walked to the healing machine and set Raz down on it and the pokeball next to it.

Going over to the couch Robin slumped down into it, it had been a long day so far and she was barely halfway through it. Maybe she should stop for lunch or something. She would have to eat here since she hardly had any money right now. Sighing slightly she felt a bit of weight land next to her on the couch. Looking over she saw Luffy was sitting there now with Brook having moved onto his couch. "Sorry to disappoint you two. I have a feeling I am going to be doing that a lot lately."

At her words Luffy frowned an irritated look on his face, he really did not like her words. The Ambipom just stared at her for a moment hoping that she got the point that she shouldn't talk like that. It was words like those that made him not want to fight for her at the moment.

Robin didn't seem to really notice and just let out a long breath of air before she looked over to the side only to see Razputin flying over with the freshly caught Slowpoke pokeball in his tiny hand feet. "Hello again Raz, thank you for bringing Slowpoke over. "Oh that's right, Raz and I caught a new member of our team while we were out." Raz, Luffy, and Brook noticed that she didn't use the word Nakama when she referred to them, that wasn't normal either. "Would you guys like to meet him?" She asked still a bit lazy. The two who hadn't met the pokemon perked up at that comment and hopped around a bit happily. "All right." Taking the pokeball from the hovering Raz she let her newly captured team mate out for him to meet the rest of the team.

The Electric type let loose another screeching cry as it tried to bob and weave around on the oncoming ice pellets. They didn't do much damage as they hit but over the course of the battle they would whittle away at its health and distract him from Franz's actually threatening attacks. "Don't let dem haters distract you dawg. Go in for a full on tackle." The ghetto clown white boy declared and Patron stopped its dodging and roared his incredibly grating roar as it soared towards the center of the storm. Div's cocky smile twisted up in confusion. He wasn't quite sure of the math on this one. He knew the Snover was better at dealing with special attacks so the tackle would be strong against it. But he also knew that the Magnemite would be better at dealing special type attacks so the tackle wouldn't be very effective. Plus tackle was just a weak attack in general. The attack probably won't do that much damage. We should use it to let the stupid metal thing get close to pound it with an attack while it is off of its guard. Div thought from his place just outside the range of the storm. "Take it and hold your ground Franz." Div commanded hoping his plan would work.

Franz didn't bother responding to his master's order. The human seems to be getting the hang of it. He thought as he braced himself for the ball of steel heading rapidly towards him. The hail that beat down on the battlefield may have been painful to the Magnemite but to Franz it was incredibly relaxing. It reminded him of the constant snowfall of Snowpoint. Franz wasn't one for being homesick, he would go wherever the fame took him, but it was nice to know he oculd always bring a little home with him wherever he went. Even in the completely dissimilar Vermilion City. Franz could never figure out what humans liked about oceans so much. Just as Patron was about to smash its metal body against Franz's face the Frosted Tree pokemon took a step forward and brought his hands up in front of his face. With a loud thwack the Magnemite collided straight-on against Franz's guard. Franz let out a bit of a cry but held his ground.
"Nice work. Just push back and slice him with Razor Leaf." Div said calmly. Things were going just as planned. Both pokemon were tiring over time but the hail was increasing the speed of Patron's descent into failure. Neither of the pokemon had much of an advantage over the other but the situation of a stalemate favored Franz. After a long moment of collision, Franz pushed against the ball of steel sending it spiraling away. Before it could get its bearings Frans swiped at it from a far. with the hand motion a flurry of leaves fired off from the Tree's hand and arm. Some were ripped to shreds midair by the falling hail but the rest made it to their target. A number flew past harmlessly, serving no purpose but to discourage Patron from dodging. The remainder sliced against the electric type with the same hair raising sound as the pokemon's cry. This was not helped by the fact that the Magnemite cried as he was getting hit as well. Both Franz and Div were getting really sick of the noise.

"Well then," continued Milo, putting his hands behind his back. "For the rest of you." He looked down the line once again. Titanium, Napalm, Proton and Camerae all stood at attention. Sensing their trainer wasn't in the best of moods, they unanimously decided to just sit there and be quiet. "You, Steelix." the boy said with a point. "Pair up with the shellfish and get crackin'."

What? Titanium looked down at the Omanyte, who looked back up with a happy gurgle. My goodness, he was so tiny... This little guy was barely out of the egg (or revival chamber, whatever it was) and Mike expected him to train with it? Sensing his Pokemon's hesitation, Milo walked over to Titanium and smiled, rubbing the Pokemon's side with a reassuring smile. The Steelix looked down and let out a low purr. He just knew that he'd understand.

"I know you're a little apprehensive about fighting with him, Steelix," Milo said, still smiling, patting the steely Pokemon's metallic hide. "But by pairing him up with someone as experienced as you, it's the best way he'll learn how to fight. It's not like you'll be hurting him much." The boy took in a deep breath, looking down at his hand. His smile faded somewhat as he planted his hand back on Titanium's side. "One more thing..."

It was then when Titanium started to feel something where Mike was petting him. Ow, hot! The Steelix let out a cry of pain as his trainer fired a shot burst of flame at his side. Milo snapped his fingers and pointed towards the Camerae. "That wasn't a suggestion you lumbering moron, now MOVE!" Titanium quickly slithered over to the Omanyte, sullenly rubbing the burn mark with his tail. Milo turned over to the remaining two Pokemon and shook his fist. "Now unless you want this too, get to work!" he screamed. Napalm and Proton jumped at their trainer's tone, turning to each other and began their practice, wasting no time. Milo stood on the sidelines with his arms crossed as he watched his Pokemon awkwardly dance around each other, swaying back and forth, highly hesitant to hit each other. "How did you even get anywhere with these wimps?" Milo said with a sigh.
