Twisted Euphoria

Adrian quickly turned in mid-air, one of the shards cleanly sliced his arm but otherwise he escaped unharmed. He grinned, and said "To be continued, clagger" He jumped into the Ocean and quickly swam towards the other docks, he jumped up onto them and quickly ran out, the shadows clinging to him like a cloak as he sat down by a crate, shivering slightly in the dark and crippling cold. His breath became visible in mid-air as he moaned slightly, the Salt water made the wounds sting.

"No, this will end" Leo spread his arms out as he guns flew down his sleeves as soon as they hit his hand he grabbed them and put them infront of him. He looked for Adrian and saw him hiding behind a crate on the other dock. He turned into mist and floated towards Adrian. As he got close he whispered something in his ear. "Powerful one arnt we?"
He formed into a vampire once more and leapt into the air. As he was in mid-air he reloaded his guns with Mercury Ignition bullets. He Fired until he was out of rounds. 4 rounds of 30 bullets all heading towards Adrian.

Adrian didn't move and the bullets tore into him, burning his entire body alive. Applause was heard from behind. "Congratulations ye wee clagger ye just killed a puppet" He said, nodding at the melting plastic. "Good job Jess." He said simply, reaching into the inside of his pocket. He produced a small silver tin, full of Gunpowder Alcohol Petrol and many other things of that nature. "JOHNNY I HARDLY KNEW YAH" He yelled, throwing it down, the explosion rocketed upwards, spreading across most of that section of the docks. He didn't care if the Humans saw it, he was sick of this one. He jumped backwards into the Ocean and swiftly swam towards the City.

Leo came out of the explosion his skin like rags hanging from his bones. "Oh that b*****d is gonig to pay" He said limping off of the docks a trail of blood flowing from his feet as it trailed into the Ocean turning part of it red. He Leo walking into the side house of the dock looking for bandaids a mortal walked in. "Hey your not supposed to be here!" the yelled at Leo. Leo grabbed the mortal by his neck and drank the sweet nectre he held. His skin starting to reform but the burnt muscles underneath would take a while. Once Leo's skin had reformed he walked out of the dock Limping.

Olathe had wandered back to the docks since she didn't really have anything else to do at the moment. She'd come here to simply meet with her little sister to check up on her and assure that she was fitting into the lycan pack as best she could. Basically she'd just come here because she was the typical over-protective sister that didn't want her little sister to be in trouble, though harm seemed to enjoy finding Sibyl. Olathe also hadn't wanted her little sister to leave the safety and protection of her birth pack but she always knew that her little sister would wander off one day. Her premonition had told her so and it'd turned out to be true, as much as Olathe wanted to disagree with it and bring her little sister home where she belonged.

Now she sat at the edge of the dock, watching the water on occasion while tapping the number keys rhythmically on the cellular device she held in her hands. It'd been days now and Sibyl still hadn't responded to a single text, which would naturally worry her though she knew that Sibyl was alive. She had that small connection with her sister that allowed her to know whether or not she was hurt and if Sibyl died then she would certainly know her little sister had before anyone else would. Even so, though, she wondered what was keeping Sibyl from responding to her and with a mischeivous smile she continued to barrage her little sister with rapid texts since she knew her little sister always had her cell phone with her and it'd be vibrating with each text she made.

It was an oddly clear night at the docks, almost completely under the light of a waxing moon if not for the stray clouds that drifted with the conduction of the late breeze. Even so there were still shadows without the clouds, places where humans worked always had shadows, it was natural.

From one of these dark blades against the buildings some three piers down a young girl stepped out and down the walk towards the woman fidgeting with her cell phone. It was hard to tell how she could have been so well hidden in her vivid red tank top and white mini skirt, or how she moved so quietly in high heels.

She couldn't have been more than seventeen, and yet there were small details in her appearance that gave the impression that you were looking at a young woman and not a teenage girl. Her body was perfectly formed and swayed with each gentle step, skin so smooth it may have been carved from alabaster and not flesh. Long tawny blond hair gave her the appearance of a wild feline, augmented with eyes so green they may as well not be real.

Clutched gently in her left hand was a clip board with several names on it and she bothered to glance at it once more before clearing her throat and speaking.
"Mrs. Olathe Black?" she asked in a voice that bordered on musical. "I have been asked to speak with you on the sensitive matter of your mate."

Olathe didn't bother to look up from her cellphone to identify who the creature behind her happened to be. The scent was quite unfamiliar, however, her instinct would not allow someone, no matter how quietly they clacked along, to sneak up behind her before she realized it. So instead of standing and facing the woman that'd made her way behind her, Olathe continued to stare down at the screen of the cell phone with an expression that was not blank though it was quite dull though it was due to boredom and not the fact that she was mindless or anything of the sort. She was actually quite intelligent and bright or at least that was what she was told and she had always been praised for it as Sibyl had been praised for her strength and her speed while fighting.

Finally, though, when she was addressed by the strange woman behind her she turned rather slowly to face her. Her movements mocked that of a wolf's as though the girl were attempting to immitate one though the girl behind her definitely knew what she was. Olathe's keen ESP abilities picked up on a bit of the woman's surface knowledge and she knew about the existence of lycans amongst the other things that happened to go bump in the night and gave small children nightmares though those children grew up to tell their children the tales and assure them that they were nothing more than fairy tales.

When she faced the woman that she could just as easily see in a play boy magazine as she could some fashion model magazine or just a not so simple woman roaming the streets, she appeared to resemble Sibyl quite a bit. The amber eyes that Sibyl sometimes possessed were there as she stood to face the woman that'd addressed her. Her hair was exactly shoulder-length and better kept than Sibyl's as well as it happened to be black in colour as opposed to a deep red. She was a slight bit taller than Sibyl and she was just a tiny bit skinnier as well, however, at some point in life she probably could have nearly passed off as her younger sister's identical twin though they were over 300 years apart from eachother in age, Olathe being older.

"What," Olathe's calm, milky voice responded with a slight bit of venom, "would you have to say to me about my mate? You do realize he is dead, correct?" She paused for a moment and discovered the answer for herself. "Yes," she responded to her own question, "you are aware that my mate is dead so then why are you here?" This was already somewhat fishy and her instinct certainly wasn't keen on the vibes they were getting from this strange woman.

Amanda couldn't help but click her tongue against her front teeth, a habit she had always possessed and continued even now when she was displeased. Cynthia would have been much better suited to this sort of task and yet she was the one that was sent... but then it had been at her fathers personal request and she was a good daughter, no matter how irritating she found these dogs.

"Yes I'm aware of such things." she muttered gently, tucking the clipboard into her purse. "We are seeking out such individuals as you that bear the weight of sadness upon your shoulders. My father would like to know just how far you would be willing to go to return your mates life." A prepared statement. Boring, simple, got the point across. If she was ignored then she really did have ways of garnering attention for any of the races in this forsaken city.

Olathe was all too aware that this woman was not any normal woman, the power that escaped from her was almost tangible and with power like that, she knew that there were only a few options as to what kind of being this woman could be. However, figuring out what type of being this woman was didn't happen to be Olathe's first priority so she decided to leave that alone for the time being, though this woman did smell awfully funny. And the clicking of her tongue definitely didn't have Olathe swooning at the prospect of talking and dealing with this creature since she knew something she wasn't going to like was going to be brought up in conversation in the near furture since premonitions had a way of doing that.

"I would be willing," Olathe stated without a moment's hesitation, "to give my own life in order to restore my mate's. However, such feats cannot be accomplished unless they are performed by a higher power and the Gods are often that higher power. They're always wanting something in return so I'd assume there's some sort of catch to this whole entire thing if your father actually is capable of such a feat." Olathe remembered her childhood all too well and she was certain that her little sister remembered hers as well. Of course, they were sworn to secrecy about such things and only had eachother and their parents to speak to about what they'd endured as children. However, what happened to her in her childhood definitely had her wary of this being's question and offer to come but she was curious to see exactly how things would play out.

Amanda was furious at the lack of belief in her father but was forced to bitterly swallow her pride, an act that almost made her sick. "You have doubts then?" she spat, venom dripping with every word from her lips. She was not conscious of the act but hot tears were starting to drip steadily down her cheeks from her anger. "If you do so then don't play with the words like a cat. State what you believe that we can or can not help you and then I will act and see if you are deserving of our aid."

Olathe simply stood before the entity before her, trying to figure out whether she was demonic or not. Not that it really mattered if she was demonic or not since either way, whether or not her father was capable of doing what she claimed her could, they would demand a price from her. However, as foolish as she knew it was and as much as her father would chide her for such a downright idiotic act, she was contemplating what this girl was saying for the sake of possibly seeing her mate again. Who would be denied such a chance to see their departed and deceased love once more? To restore them to what they once were and to function normally as they had years ago. The lonliness had crept into her heart and it was consuming it just as it had the day he'd died ...

All too soon Olathe found herself near desperate to have her mate back and the thought of losing such an opportunity was nearly enough to drive her mad. Of course, had Sibyl been here her little sister would have stopped her from doing this but Sibyl was young and didn't understand ... She'd never loved and she'd never loved and lost what she loved either. How could her sister possibly begin to fathom the pain? "I believe that your father can bring him back to me but mark my words, if you're lying to me there will be more than hell to pay for my wrath would be greater than that of any ocean's might."
PostPosted: Thu Jul 17, 2008 1:09 am

A fire seemed to light up in Amanda's eyes at hearing what she had wanted. Her father... her lover... her mentor, commander, and savior would be oh so pleased with her. They Tawny blond brushed her hair from her smooth face and smiled, he was every bit as good as Cynthia.

"I'm so very glad to hear that." she purred happily, a cat content with the bird in it's paws. "But dog or not there is nothing you can do to make me fear you. Immortals are keen to make threats that they can't deliver on it seems, though truthfully I know very few as it is. If it makes you feel better then please bring all your threats to me and I will deal with them accordingly." She glanced out at the bay with her venomous eyes. 'Ocean's might'?... That was one she had yet to hear. Colorful, yes, but impractical to a girl that had never left land.

Suddenly Olathe realized that she'd made a grave mistake in being so selfish and she scolded herself personally for being so foolish. She'd almost fallen into the trap without that girl having to do anything and that certainly wouldn't look good at all. She really needed her little sister here, just as she'd needed her when ... he'd died ... She'd come afterwards but of course afterwards had been too late and Sibyl had arrived for the aftermath of everything that'd happened. That day was still all too clear in her memory and the pain, lonliness, sadness and guilt came back to consume her once more. These emotions she'd had for only a mere five years and yet it felt as though she'd been through this pain for over a century. Her sadness and lonliness was still as strong and prominent as ever, humans thoughts and feelings were so very foolish and harmful at times. She would never bring harm to those that she loved, though, she'd already lost her mate and she wasn't willing to lose anyone else because of this.

"I'm," Olathe said though the thought of never seeing him again broke her heart into even tinier fractions than it'd already been in, "not going to be able to do this, though. I know that somehow someone's going to get hurt because of my selfishness and the dead should be left in peace if they are peaceful." She realized she was a bird that had it's wing caught in the cat's claws and it was only a matter of time before the cat became hungry. However, as shattered as her sanity seemed to be, she knew that agreeing to this was just absolute poppy c**k and wishful thinking that'd only get everyone she loved hurt in the end.

"What nonsense are you spouting now." Amanda sneered at her, the beautiful face contorting slightly into a mask of disdain. "Sacrifice is a part of life, why would death be any different?"

It took a moment but her face smoothed back to her serene self. "We don't ask anything of anyone you know. That is irrelevant. And I thought that dogs didn't care about the suffering of others, it's strange to see otherwise. What exactly do you want to put your mind at ease?"

"I am spouting," Olathe responded, forcing herself to refrain from agonized tears and sobs, "what I believe and what I think. Yes, sacrifice is a part of life as is death so perhaps I should cease living in my fantasy world where my mate is still with me and grow up. I'm not a child like my younger sister, I'm centuries older than her and yet she would be so perfect for this situation. She'd simply say no and walk away from this easily without ever contemplating it again since she'd have nothing to lose. I, for one, have my mate to lose forever but is it really worth bringing him out of his current world and disturbing what should be his eternal slumber? I hardly think that's my choice to make. Putting my mind at ease will not happen seeing as I am already at unease for a number of different reasons."
