Well thank you.

So anything interesting happen to you recently?

no problem

well, i ended up getting up an hour or so earlier than i usually do the other day so i could go up to the nearby la quinta hotel and get a job working a golf tournament next month as a concessions person... and ended up getting a position at the Seafood Shack. not looking forward to being surrounded by fish for seven days straight

......*smothers giggles over the fish thing*...
That's not going to be fun.

Aww darn.
That's the tough part though for sure.
I think I've got it worked out if I use the white skin way of doin it though.
At least that looks pretty nice.

Now just time to go sell some stuff for those other pretty items. >w>
But not too much stuff.. *hoards*

Indeed.
And it does!

Ah, I see.
Well, I don't really think everyone NEEDS to attend college...there are plenty of things you can do that don't require a college degree...that aren't like working at wal-mart kinds of jobs.

KeatonIshTak05

I don't either, but society as a whole seems to disagree, and without even that, getting a job in the future could be difficult if my current one doesn't work out long term like I think it will.
Even my college-educated, English teaching grandfather says college is being pushed too heavily.

On the topic of college- while that is undoubtedly true- that there are jobs and careers you don't need a degree for, there's also the sad reality that sometimes even with a bachelors degree people end up at places like walmart and mcdonalds because the job market is so bad anyway. All the people with masters' or years of exerience beat them to it. Or, if you're like my dad, places tell you they can't or won't hire you because you have TOO MUCH experience. No joke.
So while college can be important- especially for highly specialized fields like if you want to be a doctor, I have to agree that society pushes it too much. If people are wasting money getting degrees they can't even use, what's the point? It makes college certainly seem less impressive and useful.

my one and only hope for this temporary job thing is that there aren't any chowder bowls (round sourdough bread loaves with the center cut out to be a bowl, and filled with clam chowder). i have had many bad experiences with chowder bowls... all of them being me cleaning them up at a football stadium for money i'd never be able to see or spend a dime of. have you ever tried to shove a loaf of soggy bread filled with clam chowder down an aisle with a metal rake? not fun. not fun at all.

Some times I buy stuff to specifically hoard it and then sell it, other times I may be willing to sell if I realized that I regret tge purchase or havent used/liked the item for a really long time. Otherwise I basically don't part with stuff.

The bigger question is why you didn't use the rake to pick up the soggy bread instead of shoving it down the entire aisle.
Especially since it was a metal rake.

I see....
I never buy anything I'm not interested in....
And currently, I refuse to buy anything that involves GC.
So I just hoard everything.
Though the things I'd be willing to sell...I'm a tad too lazy to actually do anything with...because they're worthless and no one will want them, I believe.

because the chowder bowl would either get stuck to the rake and spill everywhere (including on the rake holder), or it'd tear through the end and not be attached to the rake at all. it's less effort to shove the evil bread down the aisles than to try lifting them or anything. at that stage of cleaning football stadiums, first you rake everything from an aisle down to the stairwell, then shove it down to the next row. except plastic bottles. those you pick up and put on the bench

Ah. That makes sense too.
I try and find the right medium between liking the item, and feeling like I can profit from it, when I don't buy for keeps. That way if I end up keeping it, I might be able to use it. ^^ It's a vending thing I suppose.

Hmm.. Some items are like that- where basically no one wants them or they already have them. It happens a lot with free grant items. But heck, you could always try.. *shrug*

Yeah, agreed.
I enjoy watching/reading fictional drama type stuff, but I don't like real life drama. It tires me out and makes me very unhappy. :/

Got into an argument with a coworker last night after hours too and damn. I was so mad I didn't eat dinner really.. went to a bar had a drink and small snack and ranted to my fiance about the p***k. ^^"

Oh that's good! As my grandma said to me to the other day, staying busy will keep ya outta trouble. Lol
And if you're just busy enough that you can still have time to sit and relax online and such, that's even better honestly.

Agreed! being able to see all my items by color and or type would be great! I was trying to find a different arm mod for this avi and just couldn't work it out. I'd love to eliminate this gold-ish color that the princess arms introduce with the bow honestly. I have tons of arm mods I'm sure, it's just the fact that I can't see them all laid out in front of me that makes it hard to see the selection and remember what I have.

So true. >>
I think that's called greed.

i hear ya, there. trying to find items that work well can be a huge pain if you can't look at all of them of that specific type next to each other. sometimes you get lost in the inventory pages trying to find the item you're looking for, if you can't remember its name. and then there's the fact that some items don't come up in the avi search thing, like an eye mod i have doesn't come up when you search 'eye' or 'eyes', and DIFFERENT eye mods come up when searching 'eye' as opposed to 'eyes'. it gets ridiculously confusing and frustrating

some people would say "it's just business" or something like that

Yes! Exactly! So frustrating. Like, if I search top hat I know I don't get every item containing a top hat pose in the search. But I know I have a TON of top hats and keep getting more. Probably got one for every outfit honestly. It's just so hard with a broken search and all those pages to look through. Heck, even the option to look through your inventory with all poses on multipose items extended would help.

True.
Though when business strategies that don't support the community and instead push users away become the norm, 'just business' becomes bad for a business that should orient around community. You'd think they'd be looking for a balance of the two. But gaia has become a little more stupid as of late.
