"I know it may not be what you're used to for breakfast..." Maria seems pleased by their guests's reaction, so all is well, "Now, time for us all to open our stockings."

Since Rafa is stuck with dishes, Aiden goes and retrieves both of their stockings and brings them out. "You really didn't have to do all this." he says. "It was nice enough being with people I care about for Christmas."

"Do all what?" Maria asks, since of COURSE, the stockings were Santa Clause's doing.
Rafael, fortunately, only had to bring the dishes to the kitchen for now. Christmas was special, and they opened everything up before actually washing them.

Stockings were just basic candy and small, not overly personal trinkets. Santa didn't have a gift for Aiden there, but Maria was ignoring that fact, and everyone else better do so too.
Maria and Rafael open up their gifts, Maria giving Aiden quite a hug after receiving his gift.

Raf is momentarily worried something scarring like 'You'll make a good wife someday' was about to come out of his mother's mouth.

This also earns them an adoring look from Rafael's mother, which doesn't please him much. Maria had gotten him the newest (in paperback) book from the series he'd been reading, and Santa got him a sexy new choker.

Rafael hadn't put one of his other two chokers on that morning... but since Santa had given it to him, he put this one on, "There, how does it look on me?"
