Rafael blinks, "Because you don't like being girly, or because it would make things easier?" Before he can get a responce though, the front door gets some action again, "Shhh. I think 'santa clause' is here, and she won't leave any presents if she figures out we're awake."

Rafael doesn't respond for a long time, waiting for his mom to go to bed first. But since he can't not respond to a comment like that, he does pick up the topic again, "It wouldn't. Things wouldn't be any easier, because you wouldn't be happy with who you are. And you'd have to hide who you are to do it. It may seem easier, but it's not worth it in the end."
