If you mean my start of uni day, it's 27 September!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! whee *well, that's freshers' week* But I have international orientationw eek starting on the 21st.
I want to know... how much do you guys know about the Manila hostage situation that happened yesterday? I'm not sure what the media is reporting ;\

Qyp So, you take crap from the bible because you can, or because you are christian? o_O I know you are opinionated, and s**t... but really, Aruil, you should restrain yourself. I am opinionated too, but man, all this bigotry isn't that great... I don't know if something was edited earlier but Qyp it looks like you just said 2.2 billion people loath "worthless lifeforms" because you can take that away when you read the Bible. I know that you're going to say you weren't serious because you put a smiley in the post but seriously if your going to tell some to restrain themselves maybe you shouldn't take a stab at them in the same post. wink

Tairu, you just confused me with that one. Mind you that isn't hard to do by any means, but still. I think Qyp just crossed over a PM conversation into the Cbox without informing anyone. Not cool in my opinion but whatever.
What exactly are you looking for find out K?

If any details have been glossed over such as the incompetency of the Filipino SWAT team, President Benigno Aquino's utter insensitivity in dealing with the crisis {“How can I be satisfied if there are people who died? But, as you know, even in Russia—they have resources and sophistication—when they had that theater hostage taking situation, the casualties were even more severe.” *smile* *smile* *SMILE*}, the relative youth of some hostages involved {2 of the 8 dead were 21 or under, 1 in critical condition is 18 - all from the same family}, the utter incompetency of the Filipino SWAT team {I hear CNN has released a report stating that 3 victims were shot by the SWAT team and the 18-year-old in critical condition with a head wound was bashed in the head by one of the SWAT team members trying to break the window open with a sledgehammer} and so on.
It might actually be 9 dead now because I've read that in some reports.

...My comments earlier about them were not made without cause. That being said, if hostages are stupid they'll get themselves shot. There's only so much that a rescue force can do. I'm actually impressed that they did as little damage as they did considering they're filthy little Islanders.

You should have watched the live feed. Actually, that statement is problematic. Live feed. LIVE FEED?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
There was actually one woman who was completely bad a**. She was freed earlier by the gunman since she had 2 young children and she was just like "He's my son too!" to some random boy {some reports say he was a family friend, some reports just say random boy, they happened to both wear glasses and blue T-shirts} and the gunman let her take him off too. Unfortunately, that boy appears to have been orphaned. But his 15 year old sister survived.
Another problem is that the hostages were all taken to different hospitals due to logistical issues so nobody actually knew who was dead and who wasn't until a day after the whole thing. I know the Filipinos are doing their best but it's really frustrating X:
edit: I don't consider 8-9 out of 15 remaining hostages on the bus + gunman dead "little damage" X:
On the plus side, some hostages were able to exit the bus with minimal assistance. I suppose against an M16 you are either healthy, or dead... Oh, I didn't even mention the SWARMING of people around the bus... what happened to the health and safety of the hostages being a priority? Clear the way to the ambulances!

Well if you read through the posts that I missed over the night you are talking about Filipinos and your opinion of them and then Qyp tells you over the top, you respond, and then Qyp comes in with the line I quoted. Since I didn't see any quotes from the Bible and you've only been talking about the Swat incident and your opinion of Filipinos, I can only put together two things through a logical thought process and the way the English language works. 1. You took a Filipino SWAT team from the Bible/made one because you are Christian. Makes 0% sense. or 2. Your opinion on Filipinos came from the Bible/ you being Christian. which while being a very prejudiced statement against Christian people could make some sense if the person was of the same caliber as NinjaSamurai.

I hate news coverage. Anyways, since Proto's becoming scarce again I'll wait until next Monday (my time, not yours) until I step in and advance the RP day in Konoha. I'll PM you more on how when the time comes. Just letting you know I didn't forget.

Unfortunately there's nothing I can do for you on that one. She's already put up a rough outline of the events, which is as much as I'd do since it's still her story and she hasn't handed that off. Not like I can RP there with my main character anyhow since my profile and story are still awaiting approval.
