Father Joe On the Turbo-Laser: I play Marines. That being said, I pray that the turbo-laser costs more than an arm and a leg (both points and cash). Hopefully it will seperate the true Marines from the "popular-players" and get some more diversity in the opposition. How does something being more expensive financially any way to differentiate those of us that play marines for reasons other than "popularity" as you put it?
And as marines are supposed to be tactical strike forces, I dont see a land raider like that being appropriate. So I hope this is just stupid rumor.

It could be one of those rare things that some chapter masters keep hidden in their armouries, much like the Vindicator, which is such a specialist tank that almost nobody uses it unless the objective says so.

Modern Libs rocks. domokun And sometimes Inquisitors too.... sweatdrop I personally like the Witch-Hunters psychic powers. ^^ What more better way to annoy your oppoment (Nid or IG player) then having a Inquisitor with a Hammer of the Witches psychic-power. >:3 That or Purgatory. ninja I learned that Purgatory can be quite usefull if your hammering space marines. :-/
As for the SM-powers: Fury of the Ancients and Veil of Time are great combo-powers for Librerians. 3nodding

Do you now see what rumours do!?
They destroy worlds! gonk
On a lighter note... While this might be considered Painting and Modelling, I plan to instead of giving Thunder Hammers to my Assault Terminators, I'm going to give them Swords instead.
Is that perfectly okay, or is it the forbidden fruit?
Crit the hell out of it if you want. I really need to know. xp

Speaking from WYSIWYG, you couldn't use an existing power sword model to count as a thunder hammer, except in the friendliest of games.
What you COULD do is find or custom-build a significantly larger sword. To complete the conversion, I'd also like to the see the giant cables from the thunder hammer (their defining feature compared to a meager power weapon) intact and attached to your new swords. I'd buy that.

Ah... Such swords do exist in the Grey Knight Terminators range. If I recall, they have cables and such coming out of them. Unless I could cut the hammer away to the part where the cables connect, and pin the sword in at the hilt.
That could work, no?
But I think this might be the wrong place to discuss this.

Meh. WYSIWYG is a rule (actually a convention) and not so much modeling. wink
Yeah, totally. The nemesis force weapons might be easily passed off as your "thunder swords." 3nodding

Id agree, giant swords, great swords would easily pass. or hell go ******** anime and use a buster sword, or a the dragonslayer from Beserk. Just make sure they look appropriately heavy like flashback said to represent initiative 1, and all that power. Also the swords and shields will go nicely with the knight thing you were trying for, so it adds to the theme.
You could do grey knights. Or as i think you said in one post, you could use the current terminator models and cut of the hammer down to the cables, and then add a sword blade. That I think would be easier, seeing as new termies are plastic. And also they wouldnt conflict with any other termies you may want later, as the grey knight ones definately stick out.

The key is this sword has to look as slow and devastating as a power FIST, only moreso. So... y'know... really big.

Similar subject, I use a Power Fist as a Plague Fist. Plague Wespon...Plague Sword...it's not too bad. It was more for a display piece.
I reckon Grey Knight Terminator bodies with Marine arms and shoulders, painted in a nice blue or black, could look really good.

Mat The Death Masque Well... Turbo laser is what I heard anyway. Apparently it's some kind of Pre-Heresy weapon, ancient and powerful. But Turbo Laser was just the rumour I heard. To my knowledge Turbo Lasers are a Titan Weapon. A standard warlord titan mounts four of these they are the large cannons mount in pairs on the shoulders. Lemme do alittle checking back into that but im reasonably sure about it That they are. But think of it like this everyone. When a weapon is mounted on the largest Titans around(or close to it), the Raider wont be able to move(or shouldnt be able to), it woulnt be able to fire everyround(or shouldnt), and when the opposing player drops it, it should blow up like a titan
