"Stand down, as a matter of fact power down!" he barked to the droids, one hand reaching for the saber dangling from his waistline. Dawson's eyes narrowed at the droids waiting for them to obey the order before advancing, this was not the first time these droids had been slow to respond to an order. 'Someone has some explaining to do when this is over.'


"Mistress Stone, a pleasure to see another friendly face." he flashed a quick smile before beginning to answer her questions. "It was the strangest thing, here we were discussing how we were going to move her when she surged to life and attacked the other je'daii. She should be fine for the moment we managed to tranq her back into a sedated state, but I do not know how long this will last. Your medical team will be able to handle her should she become violent?"

Hypori - Starport

Corvin was quite pleased with his plan... He'd heard Elyria's scheme over the open com, and would be posed casually, waiting for her arrival with his confident grin ready to prove once again that he was far too clever to be left behind.

Of course, that was starting to feel like ages ago now. He'd had time to memorize the guard's patrol patterns, taking particular note of the one who ducked out at the southeast end of his route to smoke every third rotation. The mechanics were lazy, cutting corners and skimming off the top by taking credits for new parts, installing used ones, and keeping the difference, confident that their pensions were secured by their ability to shift blame should something be faulty.

Here was a man used to action, and all this inaction was making his legs cramp and his eyelids heavy. "What's taking so long?" he muttered aloud. "They should have been here by now!"

Corvin?...

Leaping with surprise at the sudden contact, the scoundrel unceremoniously banged his head against a pylon and fell to the ground with a muffled curse. The call was muted... was she far away? Afraid? He was still such a novice with telepathy, but this seemed important... so he scrambled to his feet and threw everything he had into a reply. "Elyria!" he tried to project as he shouted at the top of his lungs, as though he were looking for someone who had gotten lost at the docks, "Where are you?!"

The sudden outburst drew the attention of several onlookers, who were startled by the sudden realization that there was an unauthorized man at the docking ramp. With a grit of his teeth and a wave of his hand, Corvin glared at the spectators and shouted "Oh, forget it!"

And they did.

In the moments of peace that followed, he steadied himself and tried to open his mind, letting the Force flow through him. If Elyria called out again, he would be ready.

The togruta squeezed his eyes together tightly coming back to consciousness 'Ah, what did I get myself into this time' His eyes shot open as he tried to feel the reach out to the force, but was answered with only silence. He raised his hands pressing them against the glass of the tank, his mind was alert once more the toxins had purged from his body but he could still feel wounds mending along his back.

Hypori -- Hospital Facility

Cedric swallowed. He took one step forward, meeting the Je'daii's eyes.
"No doubt you remember me, Master Stone," he said, his voice calm and low. He still did not remove his hood, for there were no doubt countless security cameras in place and he didn't want any of them to get a good look of his face.
As nonchalant as he may have appeared on the outside, his mind was racing. What did she know about him? Had she been able to access the datapad that he had left behind?

He couldn't even count the ways she could extort him, blackmail him, destroy his life and the cover he had taken years to build. And rightly so. To her, he was the enemy, along with the unconscious girl in the hospital bed.

"So everyone is friends now? Shall we be off then?" the pirate crossed his arms over his primarily bare chest, the butt of one of his blasters stuck out from his waistband and the lightsaber was tied through the belt loop "I was under the impression time was of a high degree of importance, or else I would still be in my lovely establishment."

Cedric stood and listened to the Je'daii's passion-filled speech, and then the pirate's. He still wondered what his relationship with Zara was, but he had better things to think about.
He let out a sigh. If the speculation on the charts were any indication, the Empire didn't have anything that could help her. The Sith weren't exactly known for having great healers... it wasn't like he had a choice. Whether her illness had been laying dormant or she had been hiding it from the others, Ced didn't know. But what he did know was to send her back to the Sith would be a death sentence. Any weakness had to be eliminated. Zara was now a weakness.
He narrowed his eyes at the woman. She had information that could destroy him and the rest of his family if she so desired. And yet, she still spoke as if she wanted to help. But why would she want to help someone like Zara...? He had his own reasons, but her... it was a mystery.
"If anything happens to her..."
Cedric didn't finish his sentence, realizing he wasn't exactly in any position to make threats. Which reminded him...
"So, what are you going to do with me, then?" he asked, addressing the Zeltron now. "I land my ship unauthorized onto your 'secret' base, proceed to break into this hospital with the intention of taking your.. what was she to you again? Your -- first mate? With the intention of taking her back to my ship, and now you're just going to let me go? No questions asked? I dare ask what kind of crime lord you're supposed to be. Not like I'm complaining or anything. I'd rather not be interrogated by your heavily modified droids if it can be helped..."
