Ace of clubs smiled "yes, it absorbs poison, but only the swollen one, i made you take it because as a doctor i can't take the risk of not assuming the worse, but i had to inject you with an antidote too, if injected the right antidote on time it really does not matters how you take the poison"
Marcie got to her feet and kissed Raven's forehead "I'll call the doctor while you finish dressing up" Marcie walked out the door then, looking for a doctor to get raven discharged.

Ace kept his grin until Marcie left the room. When the door clicked shut, he turned around and placed his hands to his cheeks. They were hot, very hot.
"She is so beautiful," he whispered to himself, "And so cute . . . and so . . . so wonderful."
Ace lifted his pants, biting his lip. Is she really willing to bind me? Heh. I'd love to see how that goes down . . .
Ace tucked the pistol that Three had given him into his gun holster and sat on the edge of the bed, waiting for Marcie's return.
"Ah . . . I see . . ." Ace of Hearts sighed, keeping his smile. "Such a smart woman . . . a smart and lovely woman.
Ace of Hearts pursed his lips. What was the situation with the resistance? He knew he was spotted by a resistance member. Perhaps they presumed I had died and ran off when the Suits came to get me . . .
"Tell me, Ace of Clubs," Ace of Hearts said, his tone quite serious. "How do you feel about this organization? About the Jack of Diamonds and the overall setup of this system."
Two glanced at Three. His body was too heavy to lift himself off.
Instead, Two brought himself close to Three's face, breathing on his face, "I'm never drinking again."
Two groaned pulling himself closer to the Three. "Three, you're drunk," he said in a weak voice. "You're intoxicated . . . quite intoxicated indeed . . ."

Marcie came back to the room after the doctor, they needed to make a prescription and then Ace would be free... she was really going to miss this visits though, she sited in corner of the room while the doctor asked the routine questions: Does it hurt anywhere? are you feeling dizzy? look here...look there, breath in... breath out.
Ace of clubs raised an eyebrow, how did she felt? well that didn't matter here but still she answered honestly "To tell yo the truth, heart, the organization itself is not bad" she though for a second and then continued "Let me rephrase that: the Idea of the organization is not bad, but the way it is being managed worries me" she let a small sight scape her lips "the division of the work and the separation of the power is rather interesting but i have the feeling it is just one pretty little put-in-scene act, have you seen the way Jack of Clubs and Jack of Spades Act around Jack of Diamonds? they aren't equals, I'll tell you that" She was glad eight was not around "there are things to the system that shouldn't be necessary if everything was all right, why, killing over positions is not the best way i can think about advancing, but it is the best way to protect a secret, the death don't talk" she waited a second after her last statement "Unless you know forensics" she added whit a smirk, why was Ace of hearts so interested in the way she felt about the organization? did it had anything to do whit the reason why Jack of diamonds wanted Ace of heart's dead? or the reason Jack of clubs didn't save his life himself?

Ace answered each question honestly, tapping his fingers impatiently. When will this be over? I just want to take a shower and perhaps relax a little bit . . . and spend some more time with Marchy. He glanced over at Marcie as the doctor inspected him. She's beautiful, but she looks so much better with her long rabbit ears.
Ace of Hearts narrowed his eyes. She has a bad feeling too . . .
"Forensics? No, I was never into that sort of thing, dear; I'm more of a philosophy person. Science is not my field, I suppose," he replied, smiling shortly. "Still, your answer is quite logical. Logical indeed."
Ace of Hearts sighed. "The Jack of Clubs . . . he's a case of his own. Something about him bugs me, and it's not because he's the interrogator. He has absolutely no will, Ace of Clubs. He does anything the Jack of Diamonds tells him with no question and with a straight face. Nothing phases him. Still, no one is quite as intimidating as the Jack of Diamonds. What he says goes or he will punish you. The Jack of Spades is a rather serious girl, but I'll bet even she is afraid of him."
He clenched a fist. "Our system is corrupt; it's nothing but a web of lies and deceit. The Jacks say we work for justice, but there is no justice. There wasn't justice when the last Ace of Hearts murdered the woman bearing my child, when the Ace of Spades was ordered to murder his lover or be executed, when the Ace of Diamonds burned a family in their home claiming that criminals the Suits were tracking resided there, when the Four of Diamonds hung himself in the main hallway after being tormented by the other Suits for years . . . Ace of Clubs, I could go on and on." He stopped himself before he said anything too personal.
"Ace of Clubs, you say that the dead can't tell a secret, which is true. But . . . what do the Aces know that require the Twos to kill us every year?"
Ace of Hearts placed a shaking hand on his forehead; his head felt light and dizzy.

The doctor wrote the prescription and handed it to Marcie, aceclofenac and naproxen, well, it was just some anti inflammatory and pain killers, she could buy them on their way out "Ready to go, love?" She asked raven getting to her feet and giving him a bright smile, the boy somehow managed to brighten her mood every time.
Ace of clubs began to stroke Ace of heart's hair slowly and gently "It's not about the knowledge we gain as Ace's, is more about the sense of self we gain, as an Ace your name won't change anymore, nor will your duties again, nor do you need to keep on killing to advance, that gives you a stronger sense of self and thereafter diminishes your sense loyalty to the organization in most cases, not all ace's get murdered after a year though, but when they get murdered there is usually under 'special conditions' and also..." she paused for a minute "i am telling you more than i should but... we can't seal your memories forever heart, the average time for recovering memories is 1 year, some people regain them faster and some regain them slower but we all get them back over time, so if you discover something inconvenient, whatever it is, they can't keep it away from your mind forever"
Ace of clubs got to her feet, unable to look at ace of hearts as she spoke her next words "one more thing heart, you shouldn't speak in such manner in front of a loyal soldier, i might like you but feelings hinder my heart no more, if they ordered me to kill you i would" she was dead serious, she hadn't been part of this consciously for the last 3 years for nothing, and even if she was not conform with some of the methods it where those methods that allowed her to learn how to save Ace of hearts today "Reality is made to be unfair and unjust Heart" she added taking a seat in a chair next by and crossing her legs, this was going to be a long wait until mid day, specially if ace of hearts was to continue over the same line of conversation.
