Nelowulf Hey, there is no such thing as too much firepower. It's not like i'm using an Eclipse. If Piett's ISD could had one, does that mean Piett was unsure of his abilities? He got one because he was Vader's Favorite. Gawd, Empire a War has done more to destroy warfare in the GFFA than Lucas' take on the Clone Wars.

Same principal though. A concentrated beam of energy which decimates shields and armor at the cost of slow recharge time and massive energy demands. Just on a smaller scale.

Technically its a turbolaser...
Self Propelled Heavy Artillery-Turbolaser
So a proton beam is nothing more then a type of turbolaser. wink

So what is your point? You've just made a working connection that says we're both saying the same thing. Meaning you agree with my original statement, just in different words.

Wrong nomenclature.
Photon Beam, not proton. Star Trek uses mainly light-based weaponry, whereas star wars sticks to molecular based. Hence, no real confusion.
For the most part. But then again, I'm not exactly too unhip on the ST variants, so I don't mix it up so much.

You mean from clone wars? The shots arc downward somewhat... meaning that it was a SPHA-P. The Projectile cannon version.
