Mobster Lobster You misunderstood me - the Beethoven thing had nothing to do with Kyo, because Kyo is not deaf. I was just defending deaf people with the Beethoven statement. domokun Back to Kyo. His main problem was with his throat and not his ear. He still sounds great in the Macabre-time though. 3nodding You were using beethoven to defend Kyo.. How you can do that logically I don't know because it's not like Kyo is anywhere near as talented as Beethoven, so I don't really see how you would associate the two, and if you can't, why would you even bring up Beethoven?? surprised I htought Kyo wasn't deaf. I know he has some kind of hearing problem.. that on top of him not being very affluent in the ways of music, and never having voice lessons before in his life = he's no singer. Since he is no singer that could possibly mean ( surprised to the amazement of all Kyo fan girls) he sings off key... Singing off key is bad. It makes it sound like you have no idea what you're doing when it comes to music, which equals you music (singing) isn't very good....

And I was just joking about Beethoven and the deaf people. I was reading this thing about him in my SAT book and it was talking about how musical genius is developed or born-with. This is an age-old debate and I doubt we'll come to a decent resolution to it in this thread. xd
Anyway, it might be fun to disagree and argue about things, but many people have been complaining about this not being very fun anymore.
First of all, look at what the argument is about: a vocalist in a band. As strong as your opinions on him are... they're not really important enough to actually get angry over.
I think it would be best for you guys to just "agree to disagree" (sorry about the cliche).
There's nothing wrong with disagreeing, of course, but I think that you should get some fun out of arguing over something that's not really important. If both sides are unhappy, the best choice would be to just back off for a while before more misunderstandings pop up.

Lobster: I agree completely, This stupid debate/squabble over Kyo has been going on for days now...
It just can't be reasoned with b/c the two sides have too strong feelings/opinions towards Kyo.
Can we just Drop it...

you mean kyo sings off key live or just in all songs? i personally think that's just his singing style... i mean, listen to sads' babylon.. we all know kyo copies kiyoharu.
in the aint afraid to die live... kyo does go off-key, but give him a break..it can happen to anyone.. he ain't mariah carey
i dont mind debatingabout kyo. i kinda like it since everyone here is just all like 'OMGKAWAIII KYO kun sugoi' or wuteverrr

Kyo was a roadie for Kiyoharu. He idolizes him. whee Hence his Fiveugly shirt. Originally, it was worn by Kiyoharu in Kuroyume's "Like an angel" PV. xd

xd If you don't like me having a conversation (which is what i was doing before -someone- started a debate with me for something stupid and worthless), too bad. I believe that's the whole purpose of Gaia. For people to interact and have conversations. I was having a conversation with someone and you didn't like the point we were making... so what's your point? I haven't been bashing anyone's opinion, so I'd appreciate it if you didn't do that to mine... Especially since I haven't been acting like or saying my opinions are so great (I think other people have been doing more of that by telling me my opinions don't matter, like theirs DO *coughhypocrisycough*)... just trying to have a regular conversation with someone (which evidently I haven't been able to accomplish the last 5 days without Takarai spacifically, jumping in and saying something negative to me). If anyone (Takarai spacifically) has quarrel with me, I'd perfer from now on you take it up with me somewhere outside of 304, that way I don't get in even more trouble for someone else feeling the need to scrap with me about Kyo (the end result being me get warned by SOMEONE for arguing -_-).

Especiall lives. AATD is a perfect example, he's not too on key in the studio version either. I just think it's sad when people so obsessed with him can't even admit he DOES in fact sing off key (and are even willing to say it's the rest of the BAND, even the poeple who wrote the song, are playing off key, NOT Kyo). And if that being his style is the case, it's even more sad people can't admit he sings off key (even though singing off key -still- isn't a good thing). I don't either, but I'm starting to get annoyed with people's mindless obsessions/opinions. And then even when I'm trying to have a legitimate conversation, those same people (who already don't like me because I don't agree with them) start yelling at me for something I say which doesn't agree with what they think (even if it's not directed at them) and the end result is always me being threatened with something for arguing. -_-

How ignorant. This is a guild for the band Dir en grey. Not a "Free-for-all-bash-fest"
If you were mature enough, you'd step down from this never ending battle. I'm willing to, if you are willing to. And, maybe if you started respecting other peoples' opinions.
This guild is my home here on Gaia. I can't say that you've made my stay a very pleasant one, as of lately. It's in my best interest to protect the opinions of others, my fellow guild members; whom I adore and befriend in interests alike. Please don't blame me for this. You bring it upon yourself with your constant flamebaiting posts.
This is my last say in the conversation, a debate with you is pointless. Any other conflicts can be taken outside of this Guild, or I'll simply report it to a Mod. And that's not a threat, it's a promise.

It's not my fault you feel the urge to argue with me, and as a result of that, you "haven't had a very pleasant stay lately". Maybe if you'd stop provoking me, and stepping on my posts to someone else (which you don't agree with) because you don't like me You'd have a better time (as the saying goes, if you can dish it out, be prepaired to take it back). He's obviously successful at what he does because the band is still together and producing music, their fan base still exists, and they're still popular enough to tour. I respect your opinion and all that flowery bs, but it sounds to me like you're coming dangerously close to just full out bashing here. PS: El Lobster, what is on your face? eek Well, look at Britney spears.. Isn't she succuessful at what she does? That doesn't mean she's any good... and besides (and I've said this many times before), music isn't always all about the vocalist. Especially in Dir en grey's case. Maybe the BAND (not nessicarily, Kyo, maybe he's only succuessful because he's in the band??) is succuessful because people like their music? Ha, it seems like every time I post something in the Kyo thread it's bashing.. I can't just say what I think without people saying I'm trying to argue... If you just don't agree say so, but don't disagree and then say I'm trying to fight. If you want a change of subject, I'm all for it (I get sick of talking about Kyo all the time).
