The fact that Crenu wasn't a surfer must have been as obvious to the big guy who called himself Brawly as was the fact that he himself was. such speech, such carefree mannerism and the way he presented himself....horrendous. It was clear that this was some muscle bound surfer bum with about as much intelligence as a potato, and the giggly girls that had followed him from the water almost sealed that thought. "I don't play, playing is a waste of time that is no longer a logical way to pass the time when you grow out of diapers. I'm warming up for a gym battle." Deciding to ignore this guy Crenu went back to his training. "Again, Hidden Power Ariados. No dodging this time, deflect it with Bubble Beam and Sandstorm. Go!" Ariados conjured up another set of electrically charged orbs and sent them flying at the target pokemon who eagerly awaited them. Poliwhirl shot out on hand to the side and fired a powerful stream of bubbles knocking away several orbs, spinning around and releasing another burst of bubbles at another two orbs that were closing in. The Tadpole pokemon seemed to be enjoying himself and was happily bouncing in place as he fired off random shots no longer trying to deter Ariados's attack. Pupitar was far more reserved in his efforts to avoid the oncoming attack. As the orbs closed in Pupitar let out a strong jet or air from inside him and blew up a pillar of sand that began to spin around him. The spinning sand didn't expand however and remained concentrated around him as it made a tightly packed shield of sand that the tore appart any entering orbs within seconds.
"Alright, not bad little dude!" Brawly said with a grin as he watched the pokemon show their stuff, his friends also equally impressed by the impressive display. The sandstorm was what really got him though, that was some excellent control in his opinion. "You've been workin' on that a lot haven't you bro. Clever use of Sand Storm. But if your gonna go to the gym for a battle, I gotta tell you the gym leader aint there dude."
At this Crenu turned to face this Brawly guy, clearly not amused with his statement. "What do you mean the leader isn't there? How do you know, dude?" Crenu turned his back on his pokemon who in turn came in closer out of curiosity.
"Woh, you gotta chill bro. You giving off some bad vibes man, looses up a bit or you'll be head nose first into a painful close out some day. You should come out into the waters man, Dewford's waves 'll totally get you mellowed out." Still smiling, Brawly could tell from the look on the blond dude's face that he wasn't planning on trying it out anytime soon. "The leader likes to come out here and surf when the waters are clean."
"That a fact? Mind pointing me in his direction then? I'll battle him here if I have to." Though battling on the beach might be a tad unorthodox for a gym battle, Crenu was determined on getting his badge to get back to his normal training regimen. Though he had an eerie feeling that he already knew who the gym leader was. Just a feeling that he hoped wasn't right.
"Heh heh, alright little dude I get ya. Look no further then, I'm Brawly, Dewford's Gym Leader! Let me see what you're made of little dude, I'm totally stoked for a match against such a determined guy!" Brawly said with a wide grin as he got into position. One of the girls who had been with him suddenly made her way to the side lines, apparently taking the position of judge as she was one of the trainers in Dewford's gyms.
"Heh, figures. Alright then Brawly, names Crenu and I'll be taking one of yoru badges today." Crenu was afraid of this, this goofy surfer bum was the gym leader? No way he'd lose here against a trainer who'd rather be splashing around in the water than training in his gym.
"Alright then, now beginning the match between the Dewford Island Gym Leader Brawly..." Many of the surfers who had gathered cheered while Brawly's smile faded, showing that he was getting serious for battle. "And the Challenger from parts unknown, Crenu!" There were more cheers as the people here just seemed to be content with seeing a battle. Though there were definitely cries of "Go Brawly!" and "Pound this kook into dust brah!" as they cheered for the home town favorite. "This will be a three on three battle, only the challenger may switch pokemon during the match. Both sides ready, begin!"

It was like walking through a land of shadows. The moon and stars lit the land ahead of them barely, distorted black blobs of all sizes making up the landscape. And then the lighthouse would sweep its crisp white light across the horizon. The hills, trees, and rocks then appearing like black cardboard cut-outs.
Venerax saw the creature during one of the sweeps. It sat upon a rock ahead of them. At first he thought it was just another part the rock. And then it shifted. It was like a large cat, hunched there upon the rock. Booky hopped from foot to foot nervously still on Venerax's arm. He took another step forward reaching for his pokeballs unsure of what it was.
Its eyes opened sharply at the soft slide of dirt beneath Venerax's shoe. Silver slits that seemed to carry there own light. He stepped back startled. The silver eyes widened and stood abruptly. No, he saw as the light sweeped by again, it floated above the ground where it had been sitting. And then it launched itself at him! Venerax raised his arms to protect himself sending Booky into the air. There was a flash of light...or was it the lighthouse again...and it just seemed to pass through him. Venerax fell back to the ground, the strange pokemon gone. He heart was racing. Hoothoot was frantic.
And something howled from off to the side and his heart froze!

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!" The howl came from off to the side of them. Out from the cover the beast shambled a hunched form to massive clawed hands held out ready to eviserate at its sides. Its large circular eyes reflected the light from the sweep of the lighthouse, a sure sign of a predator. It was snarling as it staggered forward.
Booky recovering from being the surprise hurling off into the air, landed on the ground between Venerax and the beast, furiously hopping back and forth from one foot to the other its feathers fluffed up making him looking almost spherical. "Hoo! Hoo! Ho-hoot!" It cried defiantly at the creature that approached.
And all Venerax could do was sit there on his butt frozen in terror.

Junko nodded at the man that had battled with alligator Pokemon against Jasmine's iron snake(lolz), as he walked by with a smile. That was some force, she thought adjusting one of her pigtails. She then turned to her old friend who was making her way toward her with some speed. "Hey, Jasmine. How are- Hngh." The purple haired girl couldn't finish her sentence before she was gathered up into a hug by the young Gym Leader. "We were just around, so I figured we could stop by and visit." She answered as the slightly older girl whisked her away to the living quarters behind the gym. Junko looked around the room, it hadn't really changed much since the last time she had been there. "How's Amphy?" she asked picking up a Steelix doll that had caught her attention. She had always thought of Steelix as being rather cute.
Hades followed the young girls happily, still excited about his victory over the Abra and the race. There were a few other cute dolls decorating the room and he floated up close and began to inspect them. One in particular that caught his attention was a little Magnamite. He reached out a ghostly hand and poked it in the eye.

Keegan just shrugged at Riza's comments, deciding he didn't have the energy to start a verbal confrontation with her. It wasn't even that he disagreed with what she was saying. After all, he'd been moping around and sulking for years and it really never did make anything better. Then again, Serenity was right as well, and no one had the right to tell others how to deal with their problems. "You've both got a point," he said idly, tossing the last of his cigarette over the railing. "Sure, moping won't really change anything, but healing takes time too." He didn't say anything else until he was off the ferry, some colour returning to his noticeably pale skin once his feet were firmly planted on solid ground again. Helios seemed to agree with these sentiments, though Keegan recalled him after a moment or two. He hadn't been to Lilycove in quite some time, and even though it had suffered massive damage from the incident a few years ago it still was as beautiful as before. He sighed and looked back to Serenity. "Thanks for the offer, but I think I'm going to go and get some training done," he said, reaching into his backpack for a scrap of paper on which he jotted down the number for his PokeNav. "Riza, I'll give you your ticket for the gala now. It's being held in the contest building in the town square. I'll meet you there around 7 or so. And, if either of you need me for something, well, you know what to do." He handed the slip of paper to Serenity and the gilded ticket to Riza before he carefully adjusted his backpack and walked off. As nice as Riza and Sere were, he really just wanted to be on his own for a bit, especially after everything that had went down yesterday.
For a moment or two he contemplated using his bike, but decided against it, seeing as he wasn't in any condition to go biking, not to mention that he didn't want to chance crashing into a tree or something like that. He really didn't know where he could go to train, but he did know that he wanted to go shopping. So to the Lilycove Department store went he. He went right up to the floor where they sold TMs, and it didn't take very long for him to find what he was looking for. He picked up two TMs, one for Helios, and one for Shiva, though the cost of both exceeded his current monetary totals. After some thought, he sold off the TM he'd won from Lt. Surge, leaving him with a very meager $200 to his name. Some people bought fancy things for themselves to make them feel better; Keegan chose to spoil his Pokemon in order improve his mood. That being done, he headed back outside and quickly taught the moves to their appropriate recipients (and was thanked appropriately, as well). Now, let's go try these out, he thought to himself, eager to make both him and all of his Pokemon stronger, so that they may never experience a day like yesterday ever again. ===== Oh no, Miharu thought desperately, quickly covering her own ears with her hands to drown out the Blissey's soothing serenade. She wasn't sure how much longer Lily could keep battling either, as the Bulbasaur was starting to look pretty tired and probably couldn't keep it up, even if she did avoid falling asleep. An idea crossed the small girl's mind, and she closed her eyes. She didn't really want to do this, but she figured it would be her best chance. And we'll let Tingle finish her off, she thought.
"Lily! Use Double-Edge! Give it everything you've got!" Though small, Miharu had quite the set of lungs on her and her voice carried through the gym quite well. The Bulbasaur shook her head fiercely and she let out an angry growl before she charged forward, doing everything in her power to keep the Blissey's lovely song out of her mind. Her small body began to emit a slight glow as she neared her big pink target. She was feeling so tired and drowsy... but she would persevere! Miharu's hand tensed on Lily's Pokeball, ready to recall her should this end like she predicted it would...

Alice sat in the motor bike while Jun questioned the strange woman. "Man Jun, you sure love fashion. I bet you could fix almost any fashion disaster!" Alice thought out loud. She then reached into her beg and pulled out the Pokemon egg. She smiled as she examined it before putting it into her lap. It was very nice of her parents to give her the egg, but what could it be? Alice tingled with excitement as she pondered what it could be.
Kadaj was peaking his head over Alice's leg at the Skruopi that was still scurrying around. He sensed the feeling of distress it was expressing as it walked in and out of the crowds. Without Alice noticing he jumped out of the seat and began to catch up with the Skuropi. He made loud yips to hopefully catch it's attention.
Alice was still examining the egg.

A sort of dramatic wind blew through the lake side and seemed to signal the start of the battle, at least for Raz, it would take the Slowpoke a moment to realize that the wind had blown. The smart little Yanma seemed to grin as he looked back at Robin waiting for her to give him the go ahead.
Robin was pretty surprised when Raz looked back at her, she had been sure that he was just going to start attacking. In a way it kinda nice and in another way it added another layer of pressure on her fractured psyche. Gulping somewhat she nodded and managed to stutter out an order for a Faint Attack remembering that Slowpokes were part Psychic type.
Giving a chattering happy cry Razputin did a small flip and faded from his spot in the air. It was always a strange thing to watch, her pokemon just disappearing in thin air. The cheerful Yanma appeared with a glow of black around him and smashed into the Slowpoke before disappearing again and appearing back where he was when he first disappeared. The cute little Yanma looked over at the Slowpoke wondering why it didn't seem like his attack had hurt the other pokemon. Frowning slightly Raz's body dropped a little disappointed in himself. He didn't have a long time to be emo though because just then a Confusion attack slammed into him. Both pokemon gave out a cry, Slowpoke just now realizing that he was hurt, and Raz from the Confusion attack. Sure he was pretty resistant to psychic attacks, that didn't mean they didn't hurt though.
"Hmm, it seems it takes a little bit for Slowpoke to realize that it has taken damage." Robin muttered as she watched both of the pokemon. Raz was quick to recover and when he did he looked ready for more. "Hmm, Raz I hate to say this, but Slowpoke doesn't look to smart, try using your Double Team on it."
Nodding in understanding Raz understood what she meant, Slowpoke maybe a nice pokemon that didn't mean he was to smart. Feeling his speed increase he started to vibrate his body until he started leaving after images of himself. He was sure that this would help him out a bit after all the Slowpoke was to slow to actual- OUCH! That hurt! Blinking large eyes a few times in surprise Raz shook himself to get rid of the water that was now on him. How had he been hit? That didn't make sense! He was way faster for an attack like Water Gun to hit him!

Being the sick and twisted little person that he was, seeing someone being forced to part with the one thing he held dear (being nearly covered in flames was a huge plus, too) painted a proud smile on Milo's face. Not to mention, watching Mazarin be carted off in restraint had a poetic sort of irony to it. Milo let loose another cackle, jagged and devoid of rhythm, preceded by his now trademark high pitched shrill as the helicopter disappeared from view. "Ahh, other's misfortune really do taste of honey. Delicious. Kyeh-hahaha!" Oh, what fun. Too bad it couldn't last just a little longer. He would have liked to play with Maz a bit more, maybe scar that pretty face of his with some third degree burns. He smiled at the thought of the self-appointed lady killer with a nice diagonal scorch mark across his face. That would really attract the ladies. But alas, he was gone. So sad.
The sound of police sirens and frantic yelling filled the air, muffled by the smoke from the now ruined east wing cell. "Well, as much of a blast as this whole endeavor was, I think it's about time we made ourselves scarce." With a flick of his wrist, Milo released Nitro. That flaming tail sticks out like a sore thumb. the boy said with a frown.
Needless to say, the Charizard was quite bewildered at the sight his trainer's ragged appearance. How did he get out...oh boy. He leaned over to see the smoldering wreckage of Mike's old cell. Before he could even formulate a thought on the matter, he felt 'Mike' jump onto his back and demand a hasty retreat.
"Less prying more flying. GO!" Milo kicked his heels into Nitro's sides in annoyance, and without any more hesitation, the two were skyward. Both Nitro and Milo covered their trail with a smokescreen to make sure they weren't followed. When they were far enough away, Milo ordered Nitro to idle for a moment as he thought up another wonderful plan. "Now what?" he said to no one in particular. "I'll probably be on the news for torching that hospital, so Kanto might not be the best place to hang around. I really don't feel like being thrown back in there. They won't be dumb enough to fall for that trick a second time." Milo ran his fingers through his hair, a gesture made difficult by his recent fire bath. The tips were all burnt and stuck together, he bet he looked awful. "So I got carried away. I got hair to spare." He shrugged it off, and went back to his devious planning. "Maybe something to take the edge off all this pent up anger?" Not that Milo felt that was even a problem, he just needed an excuse. "How can I vent and scar someone for life at the same time?" He scratched his chin. His thoughts wandered to a familiar girl. She was slender, not too tall, and had light purple hair that hid under a somewhat dorky helmet. A spark went off in Milo's head. There was a way to do both at once overall. "Hn-hn-hn-hn-hn..." he chuckled, once again kicking Nitro's sides. "You. Take me to Fortree. Now."
What was with Mike all of the sudden? Why was he being so mean to him all of the sudden And what was all this talk about scaring someone for life? His behavior today was so different than usual. The Charizard snorted angrily at his trainer's sudden change in attitude, but nonetheless complied. He turned around, gave his wings a few strong flaps, and took off for Hoenn. Boy, was he tired. Couldn't they just take the train or something?

"Bumbling fool!" The beast began to rage. "Days I was tracking that pokemon! DAYS! And then . . . AND THEN! All my careful planning is ruined by one . . . ONE! Bumbling fool!" The beast beast started to pace back and forth in anger.
Regaining some of his composure, Venerax began to stand up taking a more careful look at what he first thought was a monster. So that had been a pokemon he'd seen. Booky still stood protectively puffed up between him and the raging "beast".

"Days! Weeks! Months! I tracked it!" The beast continued to rant. But as it did, Venerax got a better look at his monster. The taloned claws turned into thin bony fingers that were spasming in anger. The luminous predatorial eyes into thick round eyeglasses. And its shadowy bulk into a white lab coat and dark dress pants. He was a labboy. Venerax was thankful for the darkness as it hid his utter embarrassment. "Learned its patterns, its habits, its life! Waiting for the one perfect moment to catch, my oh so elusive quarry!"
He turned and pointed accusatorily at Venerax. "And then you! one bumbling fool! Ruined it all!" He stamped his feet in frustration and continued to pace, to rant. "How much more time will I have to dedicate to find another, learns its life, and come back to this perfect moment!"
"Well really wouldn't want to look for another moment like this," Venerax cut-off the labboy's rant and his pacing. "I mean afterall this moment wasn't as perfect as you make it sound. Otherwise it would be in a pokeball and not gone. By the way, what was it exactly?"
"A BUMBLING IDIOTIC FOOL!" The labboy raged to himself. And then to Venerax. "IT WAS AN ABRA!"
"Now that was uncalled for," The born gambler continued to quip with a slight smirk that was hidden in their little silhouette land. "See that's the beauty of luck, it swings both ways. See your moment of bad luck is my good luck. And I am sure it will swing back sometime in your favour again."
"OH! And what pray tell do you beleive is so advantageous about the misfortune you have brought upon me?" He planted his bony fists upon his hips in defiance.
"Well," Venerax was so glad he still had it in him to be so gib with aother person, as he continued with a grin. "You see my foolish bumbling about here is all because I have been lost. So now with your talented aid, I am sure to be gone from the wilds and back into the beauty that is civilization. And therefore far from your hunting grounds." He finished smugly.
"Lost? I think you are lost for good reason, and maybe you should stay so!" The labboy exclaimed. "I think I'll leave you out here in the stoneage, but before I do I think I'll give you a taste of the 21st century!"
"C'mon now, you're just being unreasonable," Venerax sighed exaperatedly, running his hand through his hair.
"PREPARE TO DO BATTLE FOOL!!!" He exclaimed drawing out a pokeball. Obviously he wasn't going to listen to reason.
"If you're going to be so insistent about it," Venerax shrugged. "But your just holding back the door to swing back into your favour."

Alice noticed something was off and checked all around her. Kadaj was no were to be found. Frantic, she stuffed the egg back into her bag and jumped out of the side car. Unfortunately for her, there was a dense crowd, making it hard for her to scan the ground ahead. Pushing her way through the crowd she gave polite apologies, "Excuse me," "can I get through please," "oh! I'm sorry!" The people around her refused to move and even began to be rude to her. Alice grew even more frantic as she was pushed back and shoved. She started to grow less polite, and shoved back. The snapping point was when a woman jammed into her as she tried to slide through. Alive pushed against the woman with all her might, causing her to fall to the ground with a loud thud. Alice shouted out in anger "WATCH IT!" as she glared at the dumbfounded woman on the ground. After collecting herself she hurried off into the streets to find her Pokemon.
Kadaj had gotten lost in the town and began to walk around in circles. He looked all around for his owner and yipping frantically. People carelessly walked by as he scurried about their feet. He sat close to the Pokemon center and rested his chin on his paws. Letting out a sigh before a hand grabbed him by the fur.

As the sun began to dip in the oranging sky, Violet City made it's approach. The town was pretty much the way he left it when Kevin strolled in on the main road. Kevin paused for a moment as a bit of unwanted nostalgia punched him in the gut. The same people went about the same routines they had back when the young trainer frequented the quiet community a few years ago. "Whelp, off to the Center then."
As he entered the Pokemon Center, Kevin noticed a few strange looks heading his way but decided to pay them no mind. He walked up to the counter and handed his Pokemon over to the nurse and took his few moments of waiting to zone out for a bit. Had he paid attention, Kevin might have noticed the nurse give him the same puzzled glance that most other people had.
The Center's machine let out a beep, snapping Kevin back to reality. He took his Pokemon back, thanked the nurse and pulled a semi-fancy U-turn back outside. "On to the main event."

A satisfied smirk crossed the Absol's face as he watched his Aerial Ace hit home, causing a decent amount of damage to the Lickilicky. It looked as though it couldn't take much more, as it had withdrawn its long tongue almost all the way back into its mouth and it was breathing heavily. Kasiya closed her eyes and sighed. It's time to end this... I hope Mike and his mom are okay... She opened her eyes and nodded at Casimir. "Finish it with a Slash!" she commanded firmly, trying to keep the exhaustion from her tone. Casimir, sensing that his trainer wanted to be finished with this battle, gave a curt nod and dashed forward, leaping up and tearing into the weakened Lickilicky with his claws. The large pink Pokemon staggered back from the Absol's vicious attack, squinting through beady eyes at Casimir before his stamina finally gave out and he came crashing down onto the dew-soaked grass with a sort of finalizing thud. Kasiya felt a massive wave of relief wash over her and she slumped down to her knees, reaching up to lightly pet Casimir's mane in order to congratulate him - though the Disaster Pokemon's pride wouldn't let him be patronized and he pulled back before she could do so. The guard, meanwhile, only gave a half-smirk before he recalled his Pokemon and rushed back towards the hospital. By this point, Kasiya could see that that the west wing was engulfed in flames, and it didn't take a genius to know it probably had something to do with Mrs Kyoka and Mike/Milo. Kasiya found it to be odd that she wasn't surprised by this fact, or even a little bit scared. She was just plain tired.
She sighed heavily and recalled Casimir into his Ultra Ball, now hearing the sirens growing louder and louder. She felt like hours had passed since she'd spoken to Mike's mom, but in reality it really wasn't that long at all. Deciding that it would be in her best interest not to get caught, Kasiya scrambled to her feet and looked around. It was utter chaos all over again, just like earlier at the seminar in Slateport. Kudos to Saffron's emergency service response time, Kasiya thought to herself, ducking behind a shrubbery as police cars and firetrucks rolled onto the scene. Out of the corner of her eye she thought she saw a familiar orange dragon take to the sky, though with all the flashing lights she couldn't be sure. Time to make like a tree and get the heck out of here. While normally one would probably skip town all together in a situation like this, Kasiya had other ideas, namely skittering off to the Pokemon Center in order to get both Seto and Casimir healed. Thanks to her extended time spent in Saffron, it didn't take too long to find her way and quite soon Kasiya had slipped through the sliding doors and practically ran up to the front desk. The night nurse was a little surprised to see someone here at this time of night, and in such rough condition as well, but nevertheless she took the girl's Pokemon and promptly treated them, barely receiving a quick 'thanks!' in return before the girl had bolted from the Center once more.

"Fang, we're going to Pallet Town."
Those were the words Kasiya uttered once she'd walked a little ways down the street from the Saffron City Pokemon Center and had released her Crobat. After appearing in his usual shower of green and gold sparkles, the large bat had landed at her feet, foregoing his usual three-laps-around-Kasiya tradition, and instead simply allowed his trainer to climb up on his back. The Crobat fluttered his wings a bit made a strange sound that might have been his attempt at purring as the girl got comfortable, and Kasiya smiled weakly, patting his head. "To Pallet Town," she repeated, knowing her Pokemon well enough to know that he'd already forgotten their destination. The Crobat screeched and rose up into the air, his four wings making no noise as he carried his trainer up and away from Saffron City.
The flight was quiet, quick and uneventful, and soon the duo had touched down in Pallet Town. Kasiya quickly recalled the Crobat into his Pokeball before he could start screeching and wake up the entire town, and looked around. She didn't really know why she'd chosen to come here, but here she was. There really wasn't much to see in the dark, and the street lights were few and far in between. Rising up on a hill Kasiya could make out the outline of Professor Oak's laboratory and without really thinking about it she headed in that direction, wondering how Professor Oak was doing. She started up the flagstone steps, smiling wistfully as she remembered the first few days of her journey. The last time she'd been here, Ariel had been a newborn Eevee and her one and only Pokemon, darting up the steps and playing peekaboo from the tall grass framing the walkway. That had been some time ago, when Kasiya had first came here to get her PokeDex from the famous Pokemon researcher.
Once she'd arrived at the top of the stairs she stopped, realizing that it was very late and that no lights were visible from the building at all. Sighing a little Kasiya went up the front steps and crept across the porch, looking over the railing at Pallet Town spreading out before her. The small town was very peaceful and quiet, very strange compared to everything she'd witnessed only hours ago. She pressed the button on Hiro's Pokeball and the Arcanine appeared beside her, also looking very sleepy. The girl had only enough energy to raise her hand and gently pat his nose before she was falling forward into the canine's soft, warm fur, completely out of it. Hiro let out a soft whine and shifted his position so that his trainer slid carefully to the ground where he cradled her with a paw, making sure she was sound asleep before he too put his head down and closed his eyes.

"My, my, now that's something you don't see everyday," Professor Oak's surprised yet cheerful voice rang through the air, and Kasiya woke with a start, causing the Arcanine who'd been keeping her warm to cry out with surprise as well. The two were quite the sight - hair and fur all messed up, both looking very disoriented and rubbing the sleep from their eyes. "I wasn't aware that my front porch had become a hotel for strays," the professor chuckled.
"Huh? Oh, uh... sorry about that," Kasiya said sheepishly, slowly getting to her feet. She found herself to be hurting a lot more than yesterday, though she chalked that up to the rough day she'd had yesterday, and earlier this morning. She'd slept soundly due to the fact that she was comfortably warm cuddling up against a fuzzy Fire-type Pokemon like Arcanine, and other than the few aches her body felt she was actually feeling pretty good. A little bit embarrassed, but good. "We got in pretty late last night and I needed a safe place and I didn't know where else to go." Now that she thought about it she felt pretty stupid to come to Professor Oak's in the middle of the night.
Oak just smiled at this, and bowed his head slightly. "It's quite all right. In fact, I am glad you would consider my laboratory a safe place. Perhaps you and Hiro should come inside? I was about to make some breakfast and you're quite welcome to join me." When Oak mentioned his name Hiro barked happily and trotted over to the professor, who chuckled and happily patted the massive Arcanine's nose. A short time later Kasiya was sitting in a comfortable chair on the back patio of Oak's property, politely thanking the professor as he poured her a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice. She helped herself to a stack of warm, delicious waffles and platters of fresh fruit, amazed to find that she was practically ravenous. The only thing that made the morning even better was that all of her Pokemon were able to be with her at once, and as much as Kasiya loved being able to see them all like this, her heart ached to see her Raichu again. It didn't take long for Professor Oak to sense Kasiya's unease and he watched her interact with her Pokemon quietly from over the rim of his coffee cup, very much aware of the fact that she had been present at Rowan's seminar last evening, and undoubtedly had been witness to the Rockets' attack. "Do you want to talk about it?" he asked finally.
"No," Kasiya replied quickly. "Well, yeah. But no." She sighed and rolled a grape around on her plate, suddenly wishing she could just hide under a rock. "Well actually..." And just like that, she was retelling everything she'd witnessed the previous day in Slateport. Everything from Nova's hatching to Ada's evolution, the battles she'd participated in, the people she'd met, and the seminar itself and how Professor Rowan was an intriguing character. She went on to tell about how the Rockets attacked, and tore down the friendships between her and each of her friends, and the redhead in particular. It wasn't until that point that she started to cry again, and only did she stop when she realized that her Pokemon and gathered around her, and were doing their best to help reassure their broken trainer.
