Lt. Brookman I'm thinking of getting a flyer in the long term, either a Vulture or Arvus, not sure which one as of yet. What the other guy said mrgreen A Valkyrie is an Arvus with guns! Or a Vulture with a cargo compartment.

Am I the only one besides Andy Hoare who likes the Arvus?! gonk It's small, puny and unarmed, a low threat priority to any enemies looking at it.

I plan on using it for Apocalypse games, where the sheer amount of p***s-shriveling mega-ordnance wll make everybody soon forget this tiny little bugger. Just think about it, all seems like a bloody stalemate until this lil' Arvus comes along and drops a veterans squad near some uncontested objective.
Look, the Valkyrie is nice, but Storm Trooper only kit in most cases. Seeing as those already deep-strike, I'd rather focus on something really cheap and puny, thus easily forgotten, or forgoing the transport capabilities for a gunship bristling with shootie-zappy things.

A Vulture with autocannon and HK-missile racks? I don't like lascannons on fliers.

That or missile pods. Also, I like the Arvus. However, for the amount of money that you're paying, I'd rather go ahead and get one of the other planes. ninja Marauder or Marauder Destroyer anyone?

Damn it, I need an expert on this matter! I really like the Arvus for being a ******** lighter that can blow up when you sneeze inside it, but I also like the Vulture with autocannons and HK-missile racks (Valkyrie can't have those, doh!) for being the 40k equivalent of the Mil Mi-28 Havoc (I ******** hate the Apache).

Get the Argus for the reasons you mentioned. It's a good tool, it's not too expensive compared to things with guns, and like you said, it'd be inconspicuous.

I say get both, just perhaps not at the same time. There's no such thing as too much air power. 3nodding

While the Arvus might be cheap, tiny and can keep a low profile due to its lack of weapons, it is a one trick pony that will gain you instant git status once you deploy it. Granted you can win games with it, but will it really be worth the cost and timing? Besides the lighter is supposed to be used in massive waves, like Starship Troopers or D-Day. The Vulture on the other hand might not be able to keep a low profile, but it can bite and depending on the load out, it can bite hard and cause quite some bleeders. It has use throughout the game, instead of relying on one swift move and a chance drop-off to win the game. Vulture can remain mobile, open fire and really do something at each turn. Just don't go into VTOL mode for no apparent reason. Plus I'd be the pilot of one. *hint hint hint* Blodwyn MacTavish reporting for air support.
