Yugi shifted his weight slightly. "So how long do you think she'll be asleep?" He asked in a whisper, as though if he spoke too loudly Kira would wake up.
Khalid frowned slightly, and shrugged. "No idea. But I need to see what happened before I think things over." He said, gritting his teeth slightly. Why did she have to go and follow after Ryou like that? Now both she and Ryou were hurt, when only one of them would have been. Ryou had even more mental pain inflicted on him than needed, both from what Bakura had (from what Khalid managed to gather) done, and from watching Bakura do whatever he had done to Kira. He placed the Millennium Key on her forehead and twisted it, sending his mind into Kira's, intent on speaking to her inner self.

Kira's inner self was fasta sleep too curled up inside her soulroom.She was suggling to a lifesize ryou plushie.Luckly in her soul room she had no casts on and had clothes on not just another hospital gown.

Khalid went over to Kira and, after observing her sleeping form for a moment, pried the Ryou doll out of her arms and shook her roughly. "Kira. Awaken. I must speak with you." He felt anger towards the girl bubbling up inside of him, and his eyes flashed dangerously.

Kira groaned softly and opened her eyes looking up to khalid "What?" she asked snatching the doll back.

"You have caused quite a lot of damage." Khalid said sharply, glaring at her. "I tried to stop you in the other place... If Bakura had just done what he would have with Ryou, things would have been easier on us all! Ryou has built up a good enough defense to deal with a lot of things that Bakura does to him. Bakura knows when to stop with the boy. No serious harm would have come to Ryou, nothing that he wouldn't have been able to get over quickly! But because you insisted on stepping in, it made Bakura feel more showy, I'm guessing. Feel in control. So now, because of you, while Ryou would have been the only one harmed, both you and him have been almost equally hurt, mentally and physically, along with Atem, when he had to render the theif unconscious, since Bakura wouldn't have stopped for a long while afterwards." Khalid's eyes flashed. "All because of you, Kira. Because you always want to proctect Ryou. Are you not aware that Ryou and Bakura create a whole being? Along with Yugi and Atem? The lighter halves and the darker halves. Ryou is meant to support Bakura, and it's the same the other way around. Although it doesn't seem that way some of the time, Bakura is meant to proctect Ryou. What he does to the boy is, I believe, his own way of practicing control and obedience. It is clearer in Yugi's case, for the pharaoh watched over the boy very carefully. But if you continue to guard Ryou as much as you are, it sets off the balance. Bakura will feel as though he is being replaced and, like a child, he will just make his presense even more known to Ryou. Do you understand?"

Kira glared angery at khalid "With or without me iterfering ryou suffers!And I cant just sitaround and let bakura hurt him for please!Now get the hell outa my soul!"

"No, you can and you will!" Khalid shouted, a red tinge coming onto his face in anger. "Bakura will only be driven to show you how he doesn't have to stay away from Ryou because of you, and Ryou is being pressured to show people that he isn't weak, when he actually is!" Khalid ran a hand through his hair and sighed heavily. "Bakura takes it as a challenge when anybody stands up to him, so unless Ryou just goes ahead and does as he says, things will just become worse and worse for him! Nothing you, or anybody else can do will stop Bakura from hurting Ryou, or keep him away for very long! But more damage will come to other people if anybody messes with Bakura. So, for the sake of others, Ryou will have to allow Bakura to continue his beatings. The boy would much more likely snap under the thought of innocent people being hurt by his yami than he would of his yami hurting him. When I was taking Ryou to this hospital, I looked into his mind, and he will usually come up with some reason-- excuse-- on his yami's half for why he gets hurt."

Kira stood up glaring angery at khalid"I dont think you heard me..GET OUT! OUT OUT OUT OUT OUT!" she hit him hard in the face.It wasent good to get kira angrey when she had alot of pent up anger inside.

Khalid barely seemed bothered by this punch. "All right. But I will tell you that I think you should wake up soon. When we were going to your room I passed a door that I sensed had both Ryou and Bakura behind it; so either Bakura retreated back to use Ryou as a host, or the nurses put them both together, thinking they were related or something. Quite an easy mistake to make with their silver hair. And I plan to go try to awaken Bakura now that I'm finished with you."

Khalid flashed a grin that was remarkably like Bakura's in an eery way. "If you really wanted to wake up badly enough..." He started to say, but had already left. In the real world, he blinked slightly, then stowed the Millennium Key back into his Egyptian robes he had taken to wearing a lot lately. He caught Atem's eye and muttered, "I'm going to go find out where they've put Ryou and Bakura; I'll be back once I've discovered their state." He said, and then strode out of the room. He retraced his steps back to the door where he had sensed both Ryou and Bakura, and was a little glad to see that the two were still seperate. It would have made things harder to explain had Bakura vanished. The unsettling thing was that Khalid saw some people from the asylum there, arguing with a nurse.
"Sir, even if this boy had escaped, you can't take him away now! He still has to recover, and we must figure out what to do next, and contact his family, before you can put him back there!" The nurse was protesting, and shooed the men from the room, oblivious to Khalid, it seemed. She checked the IVs on the two before leaving the room herself, still not bringing any attention to Khalid.

((I had another idea...what if ryou's mind wandered into kiras?It give them time to talk..alone.))
Kira fell quiet once he left.Walking over to the coner she slid down pulling her knees up to her chest.She was still clinging to the ryou plushie.Her head rested on the wall and she just staired foward a blanl look on her face.She was eather thinking or not with it.

Everything seemed oddly calm and silent for them all. Khalid was having a little struggle with breaking through Bakura's barriers to speak with his inner self, but other than that nobody (at least, nobody in the group) was doing much of anything.
A faint sound came from the doorway of Kira's soul room. A pathetic look of misery was on Ryou's face for a moment, but he forced a small smile onto it. "Already have a replacement for me, hm?"

It took a minute or so for kira to turn her head blinking.She looked at the doll,to him,and then thedoll agian "Oh..no.." she said finaly saying somthing looking up to him.She stood up.She had a sad look on her face now.You could see she was fighting back tears.

Ryou's small excuse for a smile faded, and he covered his face with his hands. "Kira... I'm so sorry..." His voice was muffled and seemed far-off. "You shouldn't have had to do that... I would have let Bakura do it to me, I didn't want to see you suffer..." His voice was choked, at just the memory of remembering what had happened. "I should have... If I had just..." He trailed off, wondering if there was really anything he could have done to stop his yami from doing what he did.
