Darius walked into the courtyard with a puzzled expression on his face. He did not know where he was and was heavily confused about his situation."I'm lost....Where am I?"

Yoshimi wandered out of the girl's dorm, and out into the court Yards. There was a nice summer breeze, and the sky was virtually cloudless. There where only a couple of guys in vision, at the moment. One looking lost, and the other, she could've sworn was a dog a moment ago. There where trees everywhere, and plenty of grass. Yoshimi sat down on the lawn, and leaned her back against the nearest tree, which happened to be a red maple. The weather was relaxing. it took alot of the stress of leaving her friends and family away. There was just somthing about being alone, that kept Yoshimi from smiling at the moment.

The amiable sun still continued to shine above, casting a blithesome hue upon the world, as though not desiring for anyone to fell sorrow weighing upon their shoulders. Though it may not have affected all, it seemed to add a fluctuation towards Lenair's mood that day, as at times, her mood had the tendency to mirror the climatic and weather conditions. Her gaze remained straightforward, as she treaded onward, passing what seemed to be a library edifice, as the transparent windows presented viewable shelves and tables with books piled on top. Another building lay at her left side as well, one she couldn't label since it held no windows towards the front. But she felt variable auras within the edifice, which allowed her to guess that it may have been a gym, or training facility. That reminds me, I need to train sometime soon, as to not tarry... or become lazy for that matter. A sigh rolled from her lips as she carried on with her trekking throughout the campus, she just needed to find a place to be for the moment. There seemed to be so many separate locations, she could not choose from the lot of them. I plan to go to the library... and I'll probably train outside instead of in one of the available facilities. Her sapphire eyes soon fell down towards the head of her staff, where the finch remained perched and rather animatedly gazing at all visible scenery and students. She giggled lightly at the funny creature, wondering exactly why it chose to remain near her. "Silly little finch, " she began, "I wonder if you could choose a location for me..." As if having actually understood her call, the bird began to flap its tangy wings as it lifted from the inert staff. It flew in a directing manner northward, where a clearing lay, with a magnificent fountain centered amongst the concrete, plants, roaming students, and other such stationed social distractions. Lenair became intrigued by the location, assuming that it was another courtyard, in contrast to the one that had been demolished. I guess I have misconstrued Aramil's message somewhat... I thought there was only one courtyard. "This is a relief," she murmured softly to herself. The bird had by now rested upon the stone ring surrounding the fountain, as small droplets of water were sprayed over its diminutive body, giving it a minor bath. She grinned jovially towards the bird, finding the fowl to be extremely clever. A rest at this well established courtyard seemed like a pleasant idea. Lenair tore her gaze away from the courtyard for a second, as her gaze elevated towards the sky, with its mass of cumulus clouds. She smiled, as though showering a secret companion with a thank you, before returning her eyes to the earthbound land. It did not take long for her to find herself within the premiss of the courtyard, as there seemed to be a grouping of swordsmen, who were either sparing with one another, or going about their daily exercise regimen. There weren't only men within the group, but also a few women, who seemed just as triumphant in their need to excel. Lenair became slightly immersed, as she found herself standing beside the magnificent fountain, with its display of a belligerent dragon and phoenix. Groupings of boskage, mounds of grass, and various flowers also outlined the courtyard, spewing many wondrous scents into the surrounding air. Lenair continued to gaze at the diligent swordsmen and women as she sat down along the fountain, feeling a few chilling drops of water brush against her quiescent wings. She shivered slightly, before giggling and running her hand along her staff, resting just above the inert eye. The finch had now flown upward once again, and resumed its inveterate perch upon her head, as it seemed distracted by the other birds that chose to sit along the fountain.

Her empty palm was left to rest on the flattened concrete of the fountain's ring, as she leaned back somewhat, ignoring the light sprinkle her wings felt. As water did begin to collect in droplets upon her angelic appendages, she would outstretch her wings, allowing the sunlight to silhouette her creamy feathers, before running a shudder through them. This kept the burdening water from forming into large clumps, as she really didn't need that form of extra water weight. There was a mix of scents within the air, that almost seemed to lull her into a quiet daze, as she remained still (and retaining some of her own green tea scent). Lavender first penetrated her nostrils, then cherry blossoms yet again, and other extraordinary flowers such as chrysanthemums and lilies. There was always a clashing of swords, or grunts brought on from strenuous work. The swordsmen and women were determined and unflinching in their persistence. Lenair simply found herself transfixed by their display, she herself had never been able to wield a sword. Her mother had, in the past, for she had been a trained assassin. How Lenair had found out, rather spooked her. It had been within a dream, a nostalgic one that would have been more fit for Sharlene (her mother) than her very own daughter. Her parents had always strived to keep their pasts a secret from her, so that her life could be relatively normal; but all attempts had failed definitely. When the thought that having the life of a halfling would shy or deter her from wanting to live, she would have actually embraced it wholly (as she did now). When knowing that your parents were a renegade angel and an assassin, the thought would have made her feel a bit alienated from other children. But on the contrary, Lenair would have only desired to know more about the parents that she loved unconditionally, not really caring what had been done in the past. "People make mistakes... even angels do... we're all fallible," she lightly murmured. "It would not have made a difference, I... I wanted to embrace it all because I love you..." She did not blame her parents for the life they tried to maintain from her, but she almost wished it could have been different. Her eyes had ceased to shine with their current happiness, as they became crestfallen, with her azure gaze directed towards the lower concrete. The finch seemed to study this change noticeably, ignoring the birds that continued to bathe near the fountain. Dulcet and bubbling chirps seemed to emit from its beak, as its chest seemed to puff out in an array of feathers. The peaceful cries did not seem to penetrate her current moment of depression, she remained as she was, as though buried within thought or a nostalgic memory. But this finch was determined, as it became a bit impatient and flew downward, as it rested near her earthbound hand. It did not properly judge its next motion, as it pecked teasingly at her hand, and received the direly desired response. Lenair's brows furrowed slightly as she yelped from the repetition of the pecks, as they became a bit more demanding. She lifted her hand, bringing it towards her torso as she gazed at the bird in question and also annoyance. "You are one strange finch... that kind of hurt, you know..." Her eyes never neglected that expression, as the bird seemed to shy away slightly, as though being punished by its own parent. But Lenair could not maintain the gaze for long, it had only wanted to bring her out of her gloom. Her eyes softened, as a light and dulcet giggle rolled from her lips. Her once tauntingly pecked hand traversed over the fountains bubbling water, as she grinned in a light manner. Her palm began to spin lightly, hovering above the surface of the water. The underlying waters soon began to imitate her motion, as she released a small sample of her energy through her fingers. It was a simple skill, water bending, as it came with the manipulation of the element. Gradually, she began to lift her palm, and soon, a narrow stream of rotating water followed her hand obediently.

Her hand continuously rose, pulling the water along as though her limb were an alluring exotic dancer. Only when reaching her head level, did her hand halt in its rising procession. The subsequent and repeating spins did not end there, as Lenair's hand remained churning nimbly while she began to turn her palm upward, allowing the flowing stream to wrap around her hand. It seemed serpent like in its action, as transparent coils formed around her hand, while still connected to the source within the fountain. But the link was soon lost as the narrow stream broke away from the fountain, and sinuated still along Lenair's hand, as she steadily positioned her palm over the small finch. The fowl did not flee or second guess her actions, as it found itself the victim of ingenuous curiosity. Either way, Lenair did not mean the bird any harm as she allowed the "water serpent" to uncoil from her hand, and soar in a circle formation above the inquisitive little bird. Soon, droplets began to abandon the chain of water, as the bird was bathed in a light dousing of water. It chirped at first in surprise, till it found that the water was only meant to give it a light shower. So, it went about the usual actions in such a case, chirping jovially and fluttering its feathers as its chest puffed outward. Lenair just watched the small animal, chuckling lightly to herself as a few other stray birds flew their way. She widened the circle so that the other three or four foreign birds could accompany the familiar finch. There was now an array of sweet chirps as the gentle shower bathed them all. The droplets began to create a small rainbow, with each individual crystal prism that plummeted towards the group of fowls.

The waters perpetually fell onto the birds, until about an ounce of the liquid was left within the diminishing circle. From there, Lenair allowed the small sprinkle to stop, as she brought her staff towards the edge of the fountain, allowing it to lean up against the fortified concrete. She soon released her staff, and left it resting there, as her subsequent hand joined the former puppet master. They both soon encompassed the water, while giving her eyes a downward view of what amount remained. She soon shifted her hands, allowing her finger tips to brush up against each other as well as the ends of her palm. Her thumbs were left separated. The water soon began to emulate her pseudo-heart formation, morphing into the valentines' emblem, as it also rippled, as if to imitate heart beats. These had been the basics of her training when she was younger, learning to mold different shapes from her two akin elements, water and wind. But there was not much that she could form with wind, other than twisters, but there were many uses for wind. As in using it as a sharp blade, a device for ridding an area of turbid smoke or fog, assistance in her air travels, and also forming a sphere of protection. She was only now practicing with the element so that she could break a person's concentration and defense possibly. But more and more, she found herself wondering what her staff was capable of, as it had belonged to her father, and he had once been a member of the Water Hierarchy of Angels. Lenair pivoted her waist about as she held her slightly cupped hands over the fountain. The water heart was still kept within its shape, even as stray droplets pierced through it, only to fall through the liquid creation. Her hands soon parted away, allowing the remaining ounce or so to join its brethren within the fountain. "Waste not one drop..." The alien birds had by now flown away, as they witnessed an end to their free shower; only her familiar finch remained. Her gentle sapphire gaze touched the bird in a showing of endearment, as she smiled jocundly, titling her head slightly to the side as her palms rested against the stone once again. There was a shift within her short azure hair, as one single length hovered against her right eye and partially over her rosy lips. Her skin somewhat paler than usual, despite the grand light that was received from the sun. The finch simply showered her with gentle chirps as she gazed down at the sprightly creature. "You know, " she began, "I would like to call you something other than 'little finch'." The bird only imitated her head motion, as though it were left within a mist of quandaries. "So... I think that I will call you Haruna. A female name since I can tell by your color in general that you are not a male." Now, it only mattered as to if Haruna would see Lenair occasionally, that would determine the bird's status, whether it is a friend or an acquaintance. Even if she were only a bird, Lenair would consider her to be a kind companion, for she had been sent for a reason. Lenair had sensed it earlier, it was so that she could avoid dwelling into her own gloom, thus also ending whatever progress in character development there could have been. But Lenair only hoped that the bird would not be like soma, an intoxicating distraction. God... you must understand... some pains I must overcome alone. But either way, I thank you for this bird.

Haruna soon began to flap her tangy wings, as she rose from the fountain, and perched onto the head of the staff. This had caused a bit of motion to befall Lenair's weapon, as it began to tilt over. But Lenair expeditiously caught her wooden instrument, just above its bland eye, as Haruna seemed a bit shaken by the sudden fall. She took flight once again, as she landed upon Lenair's head, beating her wings against her chest as she gained her bearings at the new height. Lenair steadily rose as she pushed herself up from her seat upon the fountain, and stood erect within her black boots. She ran her left hand down her skirt, to remove any dirt or rid the article of clothing of any creases that may have been formed. Her eyes scoured over her Victorian styled blouse and equivalently dark skirt, before returning her gaze at a stable level, as she sighted something rather amusing; a flyer. HHmm... She trekked forward, approaching the light pole, as an eye-catching flyer was tacked helplessly against it. Her eyes peered at it, catching sight of the striking images, many portraying girls as they enjoyed themselves at a late night event. But upon reaching the flyer, she no longer needed to squint her eyes, as she gazed lucidly at the extravagantly printed announcement. "A summer festival. That seems interesting." I could only hope to meet a few others before this event takes off... but even so, if I can go with Aramil, that would be nice. Her eyes lingered as she gazed at what would be in store for the festival. Three weeks... that's quite a good length of time. Heh... this yo-yo game seems interesting. She remained there for a while longer, before backing away as a few other curious students desired a viewing of the flyer. Her eyes would shift upwards, as though she were trying to take a gander at Haruna. "Heh... maybe you can come along too, Haruna, I bet you would enjoy a few snapshots." Though Haruna made no response, other than moving amongst her strands of hair, Lenair assumed that she was still left in her own animalistic contemplation.

Nohea walked onto the courtyard and looked around.
Wow!! This courtyard is beautiful!!
Nohea ran up to the big tree in the center of the courtyard. When she got there she looked up into the tree. There were, what seemed like, hundreds of branches, just waiting to be climbed on. She took Popoki off her shoulder, where he had been sitting, and put him under her arm. She then touched the tree. Suddenly the tree began to shake slightly, and bumps seemed to form all over it, making a line up to the first branch. Nohea began to climb up the tree, using the bumps like a ladder. When she got up to the first branch she turned around and touched the tree again. The bumps began to dissapear, from the bottom up. The branch was just big enough for her to lay on it so Nohea layed down, setting Popoki, her doll, down on her chest. She put her hands behind her head and closed her eyes, relaxing.
Ahh, I'll just stay here all summer
Nohea giggled, causing Popoki to fall onto her neck. The glowing stone she wore on a chain around her neck flashed brightly as Popoki touched it when he fell.
"What the-" Nohea started, but suddenly the branch broke, dropping Nohea and Popoki. Nohea was too surprised to scream, she closed her eyes and wrapped her arms around herself, waiting to hit the ground. When she didn't feel any sharp pain or hard ground under her she opened one eye. She was floating, about 3 feet off the ground, face down, in a round purple-ish shield.
"How am I doing this?" Said Nohea, the shield then popped, like a bubble, and Nohea fell with a small "Oof" onto the soft green grass. She stood up and shook her head, then brushed off the grass that was on her blue skirt. She picked up Popoki and inspected him.
"Was it you?" she said softly.
Nohea shrugged and put him on her shoulder.
"Well lets just stick to the ground then." Nohea said to Popoki as she sat under the tree. She took a deep sigh and closed her eyes. The sun shone through the green leaves of the tree, giving her a comforting feeling, causing her to slowly drifted off to sleep.

Lenair soon allowed herself to daze off for a bit, as her eyes fell away from the slightly imperceptible bird, and towards the dimming sky above. More students began to gradually crowd around the pole, so she stepped further away. As her head was now titled at an uncomfortable angle, Haruna took flight once more and then perched upon her blanketed shoulder. It was a beautiful sight, to see the awakening night mix with the leaving day in a clashing of violet, lavender, and a palish hue of blue. Lenair had no apparent reason to gaze towards the sky, she simply had nothing better to do at the moment. The swordsmen had been acknowledged with her attention before, as well as Haruna and her feathered companions. The lightly clouded sky seemed to be what was left; the only one given sparse attention that day. A moon, shaped as queerly as the Cheshire cat's grin began to manifest, peaking outward as though shielding itself behind a father's leg. The moon had its very indelible and childish qualities, Lenair could at one time even relate herself to the distant rock which was not bound by one of the primary forces of nature; gravity. But the moment of peace and lingering would soon be ruptured. "Attention," rang a vociferous voice over the loud speakers. Several were found hanging from the surrounding buildings, and one was also hang atop the lone pole. "Attention students, those who would like to take the First Star Exam for ranking, should come to the examination dome immediately." Lenair's gaze soon broke away from the infantile moon, as her ears seemed to perk attentively. Oh... examinations. I remember signing up for those. I'm to at least attend my first one during my week of enrollment. "I should go," she lightly murmured, to no one in particular. But as if taking the hint, Haruna chirped softly and then flapped her wings once again as she flew from Lenair's shoulder. She did not return to her usual post within the hybrid's hair, she simply continued to soar, heading away from the courtyard, and the one she seemed fond of. "Oh," Lenair began as she watched Haruna leave," see you another time then Haruna!" A few had given her a stare or two, for it seemed as though she were speaking to no one at all. Haruna had left. Lenair sighed lightly, allowing a small breath to pass from her lips, as she began her descent away from the courtyard. Haruna will probably return... I should just focus on this fight. There was a repetition of the announcement, but it fell deafly to Lenair's ears; she had already heard what was necessary. Her staff went about its inveterate clacks upon the ground as she left the fountain, vegetation, and assiduous swordsmen behind. Maybe she would return, if not, then to another courtyard.

Nohea was laying under the big tree, quietly sleeping as the moon smiled down upon her. Her eyes opened slightly, she saw that the courtyard had become dark and cold. The only light that shone was the cresent moon and the bright stars in the sky. Nohea sat up and leaned against the tree, rubbing her eyes.
"Wow....its night already? I must have been sleeping for a while....." Nohea said, reaching over to pick up Popoki. "Guess we'd better head back." she said, holding on to the tree to lift herself up. Then she made her way across the courtyard to the girls dorms, stretching and yawning.

((its still light out where I live but.. xp )) Poppy stood on tipy toe on the tip of the fountins stone dragon figures. The mouth was open,as if yelling at Poppy and Bloom, who stood on the other dragon figure's nose.
She was still wearing the Loli Gotic black patterened dress, the almost see through fabric revealing that she wasn't small in chest as people thougth she was, the patterend material had black roses in bloom in them. Lots of Red vevelt ruffels at the rim, making it almost look like a ballerina dress.
Poppy wore fishnet stockings,no red highheels this time though, and the red ribbon headband with the small gold crown, small red rubys at the tips. Her red locks and soft red eyes, and rosy red lips made her look beautiful and dangerous at the same time, people would mistaken her as for someone else of the way she dressed now,Poppy was a hyper kid, known to wear white sweaters and pink stockings, and green belly tops with dog bones on them.
Bloom wore the same thing as Poppy, just a smaller version since Bloom was no taller then a pencil. Poppys eyes looked like they held a world of mist,as she stared up at the cresent moon, memorized,as its moonligth shone down on her, like a spot light on a ballerina.

((still light here too, sweatdrop but Matsumi was describing it to becoming night fall, so I went with it, hahaha sweatdrop ))
Popoki, Nohea's small white kitty doll, walked into the dark courtyard. He wobbled a bit because he had just come alive awhile ago from the mysterious stone necklace that Nohea put around his neck. He looked around the courtyard as he walked along the soft grass. Since he was now a real cat, and not stuffed fabric, he could see in the dark. His light blue eyes were wide so that he could see his suroundings. Popoki spotted the goth-looking ballerina girl on the statue,
Hmm, maybe she can help me
He trotted over and sat down infront of the fountain and tilted his head to the side, hoping to be noticed.

Popoki couldnt get her to notice him, she seemed a bit focused on something else, so he decided not to bother her. The sky began to get brighter, and Popoki thought it a good idea to move on before Nohea woke up back at the girls dorms. Then he spotted a boy leaving the courtyard,
Wonder where he's goin, maybe if I follow him I'll find somthing nice for Nohea....
So Popoki followed him, walking not too far behind.
