Lord Yawgmoth

Shadowy Lunatic

Not knowing the events of the last few days, perhaps the last week or so, the beast awoke. As in tune as the dragon was with power she would likely be the first to feel his approach as Ziven, in her sobbing, would most likely be too preoccupied with..whatever it was she was crying over, to notice him until he were up close. The evil dark feeling that came when a bubbling puddle of liquid surfaced near the pair. With the dragon around however, Yawgmoth surfaced with his hands in the air instead of another pose, to show he didn't come as a threat...yet. For now he would play nice though. "We can hear you crying all the way back in the bar. My my my what has gotten into your little soul? We finally get a good few days of stone hard sleep where we didn't wake for days...and when we wake we find you and the dragon and you in sobbing tears. What in the name of Phyrexia happened while we slept!?" Yawgmoth asked lowering his hands at his sides, tilting his head to the right. His tail gently flicked a little back and forth up and down mostly to stretch out the muscles in it. He wore nothing but pants since he'd basically crawled out of bed and went for a stroll to wake up. He was very eager to know the cause of her sorrow and what events had transpired during his sleep.

"Go away! No, no .. not now!" she said upon hearing Yawgmoth speak. Her sobbing renewed as well as stronger waves of what appeared to be wind emanating from her. Both she and feldspar were dressed the same, long blue gowns. Ziven wore more, however, gloves, laurels and of course, her scarf.

"Please .." Feldspar said softly as she stood, looking at Yawgmoth with a proud posture. She would not want to let on that she was rather irritated that he had shown up there. "We would like to be alone. Reeve has died. Tonight is a night of mourning." she said simply.

Scoffing at her initial reaction Yawgmoth listened to the dragon speak and snarled a bit. "Oh. NOW you will talk to us. Bah. Never mind that. Did we hear you correctly in saying that Reeve is dead?" Yawgmoth asked with a blink. Well...that was a surprise after all. Someone beat Yawgmoth to it he thought shaking his head back and forth. "Let us first assure you, that we were not the responsible party. Although we may have said we were going to, we never laid a hand on him. This news of his death is brand new to us." Yawgmoth said with a simple shrug of his shoulders. He certainly wasn't going to leave on Ziven's request and he damn sure wasn't going to listen to that lizard after its resfusal to speak to him until now. Besides..didn't they separate? Yawgmoth had been there with her when they 'broke up' or so he thought anyway. How much had he missed asleep? Damn this was all so confusing.

"Yes, I will speak with you now in this form as I have the ability to speak aloud. And yes, Reeve is dead, we know it was not you. It was .. himself, really, that caused his death - his father, Vice, carried out his last wishes." she said proudly, watching him with curious eyes.

Suddenly Ziven stopped crying. "Oh no .. Twilight .. I forgot .." was all she said before she hiccoughed again and returned to sobbing, now feeling sorrow and guilt for having forgotten the small dragon. What an unfortunate life she held, Ziven felt rather close to her because of this but she had no way of expressing this to her, and it was likely too late.

Yawgmoth couldn't help but blink and then stifle his laughter. So Reeve desired death? How quaint and amusing. "So this is basically between us. She" Yawgmoth said pointing towards Ziven. "Is basically incapacitated with her grief. Then you will fill us in. On everything you are aware of concerning the entire situation. As things happened for the past...let us say three days. You see. The Darkness only knows so much. And it is very vague about what it knows. Even someone like us who has total control over your very shadow can but squeeze so much information out of it." he said taking a seat where he was standing in a lazy fashion. He didn't intend to leave but he didn't intend to stand there all day either. "Is there something in our teeth? If not why are you staring at us so?"

Tilting her head, she watched what he did. Sitting also, she continued observing him for a moment before speaking again. "Yes, she just needs time. No, you do not, I am simply observing you. It is rather simple. Despite having decided that they should separate, she still loved him dearly. She is a perfectionist, as you may be aware. She could not make him happy nor could she learn enough about him to suffice the standards she held herself to. As they both had .. difficult childhoods and .. interesting young adult lives .. it was difficult between them. She did not know what to do, she decided the best thing would be to wait .. to spend time apart .. then to try again." she said, nodding her head as she spoke. Continuing to observe him, she wondered what he might say next. Ziven, though still crying, had found a balance of grief, simply sitting there, crying and though they might not be aware, listening to their conversation.

Yawgmoth smirked showing the large white canine on the side his mouth opened. "Observe all you like. We are one of a kind after all. Quite literally. You however, are just another dragon to us. No matter what form you take. We have seen and fought with dragons that make you look so...insignificant in terms of their size and power. Though unlike a certain creature, we regard most dragons with respect as they are one of the few sentient creatures left in the universe still going about their lives the same way they did eons ago. They haven't let things change at all. Why should they? Most of their ways are correct in the eyes of the universe. They are quite aware of this. But see, now you've got us rambling on about your species." Yawgmoth said having to stop himself before it went on and on about other draconic encounters he'd had. "We can understand that we suppose. We are perhaps the only creature more perfectionist than she. Though we express it differently." He said scratching his chin. He had spent years training his body and power to be one perfect weapon, his machines his 'children' were all designed to be the perfect war machines. So in his sense of perfectionism it meant for war, for combat. Ziven's sense of it seemed to be quite different.

"She believes she did something very bad in her childhood, before she came to live with us, and is being punished for it still. That has become a self fufilling prophecy in many ways though as she is overly critiqueful of herself when interacting with others. In her own space, she has come to realize that she is excellent at a great many things and will take pride in that. Though the smallest mistake .. she takes it to heart for a long time, her whole life even. Though she certainly tries or suceeds in making adjustments to do better next time." she said, watching him with curious eyes still, knowing that

"What does she believe she did? We find it all too interesting that someone of her age has such talent and potential. Yet the slightest thing will turn her into a crying wreck worthy of us killing off of principal. Though" Yawgmoth held his hands back up as he talked to show the dragon he meant that as a manner of speech and not that he was actually going to do it. "We would not. She has done a few things to provoke us in the past. Things which most beings would find to be fatal" he said, a dark purple glow surrounding him when he spoke. The evil uneasy aura that surrounded him would begin to grow slightly. "Why does she get away with it? Two reasons. The first is not so flattering. But since we are discussing her we will say it anyway. We want to....mate. Is a nicer word, with her. Secondly, she is talented. Too talented for her age. She is still young as far as the universe sees her, yet she is able to control such a vast amount of magical energy with ease even. As if it were second nature. We can honestly say it took us hundreds of years to attain that level of control over our abilities. So. Why she continues to beat herself up over something that is probably insignificant anyway drives us mad you see." He concluded sitting his hands on his knees as the purple glow shot higher turning into what appeared to be a raging purple flame around him. The energy levels one would feel from him would be much much greater now the aura so intense that sensitive beings would find it difficult to get too close less they be overwhelmed by the sher evil of it.

"Stop .. please .." she said softly, her crying slowing, though she still was not in the best shape, covering her head with one arm.

Turning to Ziven for a moment with a sympathetic look, she replied kindly, letting calming thoughts accompany her words. "It's fine, Little One .. this will not hurt anyone." she insisted to her before returning her attention to Yawgmoth.

"She doesn't know what it could have been. When she came to be with us .. she was so young, she could speak so well despite being so young. Now that we know more of her origins, that brings answers and it could be very possible that whomever she was with before us did not accept her for who she was." she replied, looking to him with curiosity still. "Is it truly so odd? She has magics from three races pulsing through her veins, allowing her to draw not only from what is on the surface but able to tap deeper, more ancient veins of all three. And what's more, she can pick up the magics of others very easily also .. she is like a sponge." she said, stopping only for a moment to giggle. "Only holy and unholy magics pose a challenge for her. Everything neutral, natural or called upon by voice or rune can she summon that strength. Never have I met anyone with such ability. Though she would never admit it, she is proud of these facts. Magic is .. who she is. It is not something she does, which is like most people. Brom and myself, for example, we can use magic, do magic. For Ziven, it is an extension of her body." she said with a small nod, resuming observing him.

A laughter began to pour from Yawgmoth as he stood up slowly stopping, he turned directly to Ziven and ignored the dragon for the moment being. "So they didn't accept you for who you were....sounds familiar. How familiar? You don't know little girl because we never talk of our past. Let us fill you in. After our accident. When we became Yawgmoth. We were shunned. We were a monster to them. They exiled us because we were different and they hated us for being different. Unlike you though, we did not take it in stride and move on. We snapped. We committed our most atrocious act in our life when we killed every, last, one of them. The entire Thran race is extinct because we are the only one left. All because they did not accept us for who we were." Yawgmoth said firmly with a curl on his lips indicating that he was not pleased with her little sob story. "Already you have beaten us in maturity. We took our revenge for being different out on them. You. You take it out on yourself. Why don't you discard this and be proud of your difference!? Look at you!. Look at us! We didn't tell the dragon we were unique simply out of a matter of fact, we said that because we are proud to be different, proud to be who we are. And so should someone of your talent. Instead of wasting away in a river of tears."

Yawgmoth stepped back and turned his attention to the dragon as he decided best to let his words sink in, fall on deaf ears or do what they were going to do. "You say she can't do holy or unholy magic? We beg to differ. If the type of magic we created was not made possible by the fact that it is simply a genetic trait in our structural DNA, we are positive she could replicate it. That the only reason she cannot replicate it exactly, is because she does not share our genetics. We are confidant in her ability to be this..sponge you speak of. In less than a week she learned a technique that took us months of practice. And our leg muscles were in much better condition than hers were. To see her in such misery over something as idiotic as Reeve, why it does make us want to slap her. You can understand our frustration we hope." he said flexing his hands opened and closed, the bright purple fire that burned around him died down to where it was just barely outlining his figure glowing softly.

"REEVE LOVED ME!" she shouted where she sat, still overlooking the ocean. Resuming crying with a renewed pain again, she hid her head even more, curling up even tighter. "No one .. loves .. me .. like .. he did."

"There you have it. She has had so little experience in life .. this one thing she has looked to gain in her life .. this one thing she sees to be selfish desire .. love. She had it in her grasp and she lost it. What terrible mistake has she made this time to lose something so very precious to her? That is what is on her mind." she said in a somber tone, standing, looking to Yawgmoth with both understanding and a look of protection for Ziven.

Yawgmoth turned his attention to Ziven and spat back in a loud tone "Reality check little girl! If he really loved you, he'd still be around!. You foolish little creature, you don't know what love is. You've never had the real thing. We have it now with our Crow. If ever you were to trust our word, Trust it now. When you find real love, you'll know. They'll still be around to share it with you. What you had with Reeve was just an illusion of the real thing. Sometimes the forces that be see fit to torture you with it, like they are now. The sooner you realize this, the better off you'll be onto finding real love. Now, don't go yelling at us about something you have no idea about." He concluded firmly, a loud snarling sound came out from his chest that sounded like a lion's growl with a demonic undertone. Returning to the dragon he sighed. "Her little experience of it, has just been shown. She knows nothing of love. And if you believe what she and Reeve had was love, then you too know nothing and we pity you." He spat out in an agitated tone. Though his anger was apparent he had no intention of provoking the dragon. Despite how weak she may be compared to other dragons he'd met...she was still a dragon. And they were always a handful. He would rather avoid a conflict if at all possible.

"True love .. certainly not. But love .. yes, they had love." she replied to him simply, tilting her head. "You too know the difference, yes?"

The tears stopped, she had run dry, was still in pain, but could not keep this force of upset any longer. Staring out over the ocean, she still held her head with one arm, curled over, not caring what they were saying anymore.

"We do. And we do not. We do not acknowledge feelings of affections towards other things as 'love'. Most beings believe there is a type of love for family and friends and for romance that isn't the real thing. We believe these feelings are simply affection. Not love in any way shape or form. Love is...too powerful to be downgraded to those types. So we cannot agree at all that what they shared was love. But rather it was a mutual affection. We are careful on what we place the three most powerful words on. Those words..in your language we believe, are Love. Hate. Revenge. Simply put. The three most powerful emotional states in the universe." Yawgmoth replied turning his crimson eyes on Ziven for a moment then back to Feldspar. "So, your eyes on us are still curious. We have covered Ziven's state and there is nothing you nor we can do about it. So we might as well move on. What would you like to know? You may not think it, but your eyes observing though you say, seem to beg us to answer a question you have about us. What is it?"
