Orielle Haha, thanks! I worked hard on the fur texture in that one, so I'm happy you think it looks real. smile In other news, I finally finished the Cooter kiriban, sorry about taking so long! I have some exams coming up next week, so I may not get to paint a lot in the near future.. I have about 1500 pages to read that I haven't even started on (and that I know very little about because I only went to one of the Regional Ethnography lectures), plus I need to finish up my 3000 words philosophy paper. sweatdrop My fault since I did nearly no schoolwork in France. But yay, aikido practice tomorrow. heart
OMGOMGOMG I can't believe I missed this on your thread Ori This is amazing Thank you so much <333333333333 -bows- I love it I really really really really really do heart heart heart

Trialis: It actually costs the same as it woul to study here in Norway, even though school here is free, because the living expenses in India are so ridiculously low. whee Thanks though!
Clarissa: Ow, that sounds pretty terrible, being out of power for so long. Don't worry about that, take all the time you need. 3nodding
Rue: Thanks! blaugh Yes, I have this thing where if I stay in one place for more than three months I get itchy. And living in Norway is pretty terrible in winter, so it's the best time to leave. smile
Cooters: I am really glad you like it! biggrin

You get itchy by not going anywhere for three months. Sometimes I don't leave my house, and I feel perfectly fine. Of course, I still feel itchy, though. razz

Haha, sometimes I can just stay in my house for a few days too, but staying in the same town for more than a couple of months makes me D:
There are just too many other places I should be. I talked to a good friend in Vietnam today, and told her that I'm coming to visit. I'll probably stay in her town for 3-4 weeks working in a restaurant we started last year. She is trying to open up another one at the moment, so this could be really interesting! I am really looking forward to seeing her again, and I am bringing her a secondhand laptop as a present to help her with accounting and stuff, since they cost waaaay too much in Vietnam. She was really happy to hear that I am coming, and has already started planning my stay! I'll be there for Têt, that should be awesome.. mrgreen
Sui: Cool, I've started it already. whee

Damn, you keep going back to Vietnam! What's the restaurant like? Regular Vietnam food, or is it fancy, or what? Planning on a chain, fast food, something fancy? Is T(funny looking e)t a holiday or something? Am I annoying you with all these questions? Should I stop? blaugh

Haha. heart
It is a cozy little restaurant with local food aimed at backpackers, foreign students and low budget travellers. My friend was unemployed for a few months while I was there, but she happened to be an excellent cook, so we started it together with her taking on all the day-to-day responsibilities. Also, because of weird Vietnamese housing rules she couldn't move out of her parents' house (she's 26), but the new place has a room in the back where when can live. smile As long as the restaurants provides her with an income and sponsors tickets once in a while so I can come and visit I am happy.
Têt is the Vietnamese New Year (same time as the Chinese), when everything closes for five days so people can party in the streets and dress up as dragons and give each other gifts. Also, all Vietnamese people celebrate their birthday on this day. smile

I think hotel prices at least usually triple during Têt, and all restaurants close. But I know someone who works in a simple, but nice hotel near the centre, who has invited me to stay there for free when I come back. Or my friend from the restaurant has invited me to live with her and her family while I'm there. Foreigners actually need a permit to spend the night in the house of a local family, but one of my other friends is a policeman, and he says he can take care of it. smile Seriously, if any of you get the chance to travel, Vietnam is the place to go! The people there are so unbelievably friendly, and they will help you out with anything. heart Hoi An is also on UNESCO's world heritage list, and with good reason, the old town is really beautiful. On another note, I have an exam in regional ethnography tomorrow, still 400 pages to go. gonk
