Myth Runekin Lady_Catwings Myth Runekin Lady_Catwings Myth Runekin Lady_Catwings *Snuffs the ball of light with a grumble* Not a skill i aquired. I can see no better then a regular cat in the dark. I never had to. I could conjure light. That, and part of an amazon's training is done blind.... * She felt her way along the wall carefully, holding her other arm out in front of Drake. myth took her outstretched arm by the wrist, helping guide her along around the corners of the labarinth-like volcano. he stopped suddenly. his last footsteps giving off a faint echo. "do you hear that?" there was a how hum just beyond them. the walls stopped. it was obviously a huge chamber. " what do you say, through the middle, or follow the wall?" he whispered in a cautious tone, as if he were afraid something would hear him. myth looked back around the wall and into the chamber.... " yeah...neither are safe... there are...things 'sleeping' along the walls, and a big lump in the middle of the room that seems to attach to all the walls..." he sat down in the doorway. " this could get sticky..."

*chuckles and steps over them protectively as they crouch on the floor* I am sure it is the latter..... And it is your Gautam that made us leave the beach and enter the jungle that held the temple that led to the statue....

Lady_Catwings Myth Runekin Lady_Catwings Myth Runekin Lady_Catwings * Curls her free arm around Drake, and keeps her ear trained on Myth's soft rustling, feeling his heat roll off him and along in a path in front of her* he stopped suddenly. his last footsteps giving off a faint echo. "do you hear that?" there was a how hum just beyond them. the walls stopped. it was obviously a huge chamber. " what do you say, through the middle, or follow the wall?" he whispered in a cautious tone, as if he were afraid something would hear him. myth looked back around the wall and into the chamber.... " yeah...neither are safe... there are...things 'sleeping' along the walls, and a big lump in the middle of the room that seems to attach to all the walls..." he sat down in the doorway. " this could get sticky..." " like... fighting a room full of things with night vision in pitch black, sticky." he drew his scythe leaning against it slightly, before looking in the room again. "i'll try to distract them so you can get a sneak attack... he said before dissapearing from sight, and touch.((looking for a good pic of what we're up against.))

*watches him go as moves out from over Cat, letting her stand as she begins her guarded search once more, smiling at Cat's words* Hmm........... True but we still left the sand for the trees because of him....... But I am equally glad we obliged his requests.....
( mrgreen i've got a new book from Emily Rodda, the author of Deltora. It's got some neat pics if yo want me to scan them. mrgreen xp )

*grins and shrugs then snorts as she catches what Cat smells* Eeww is right........ Here, tie Drake to me..... He will be safe and I can fight just as well with the little weight.......

((that's okay i found them.)) there was a clink and hum. a few small lights blinked on in the middle of the room, and there was a hissing sound as pipes and hoses detatched from the walls and the creature in the middle. it rose, dull reddish lights flickering on in the room revealing the beast standing over myth, about 30 feet tall. unholy mixture of monster and machine. myth looked up at it, waving his scythe around to distract it. all around the room the other smaller lumps whirred to life, 40-60 of them, all uniformly unfolding and standing. minion pic too big..

Perhaps I could reason with them...... *crouches as she prepares to leap onto the larger form, wings raised in position to help her launch upwards*

myth stepped back, as the monster stepped forward again, metal claws clenching and unclenching. the others around the perimeter closing in as well. there were barely a yard away from him.
