"Well, since you seemed to sound a little more enthusiastic about Sparring. Lets do that one, shall we?" Faend says, with a slightly twisted, but not completely evil grin forming across his lips. If anything it was a sly one. Turning a little, he then took off in the direction Aimi was headed in a burst of speed that was just a little above ordinary. Nothing too notice able though. Black straps on his odd attire lifting up with the force of his running, and yet the top hat on his head remained in place instead of flying off like it would be expected. With his long black hair trailing out from beneath the brim of the hat, he runs off towards what may be a training area in the distance, so they could begin their spar, of course he was leaving her behind in the process, unless she picked up her speed too. Grinning almost foolishly as he runs, he does not even bother to look back and see if she was following as close as he would, if she had just taken off and ran past him as eagerly as he had.

Elika strolled through the area stopping feeling something odd around her. she continued on heading to the doors of the academy, she stopped atthe doors and turned around to see a strange man standing right behind her. "hello. I didn't think you would be here." she said then continued quieter, "at least not at the same time as me. damn him." she said then turned back to facing him, she stared at the man and realized that he had most likely heard her.

The Prince, not to be confused with the artist formerly known as Prince, was following Elika to the ninja academy, each step he attempted to stay out of sight and match her steps. each time she had stopped and turned he had ducked out of the way, hiding behind anything he could. he had followed her up to the doors of the building, then when she stopped she turned instantly The Prince was found. she instantly began to talk to him, acting like she didn't think he would have been following her. He smiled as he listened in on her speaking to herself behind her back. "well now princess, shall we go inside?" he smiled with sarcasm showing up, "we should do what we came here for." he said then opened the door, "after you princess." he smiled as she walked in and followed right behind her.

Princess Elika looked away from the man known as a prince, she turned and entered the building and smiled "thank you so much, i could never have opened that big door on my own. after all i'm just a pampered princess." she said sarcastically, she walked in looking at the inside of the building, it looked, plain, but lively. she knew what she needed to do, she needed to find a class room to visit and learn techniques in. as she went the Prince seemed to have disappeared from site. she felt relaxed since he had disappeared. she walked into a classroom and there he was sitting around already. "oh no." she said quietly. she walked in and sat down next to him. the teacher began telling them of some of the techniques they could learn.

As Lieselotte was sent flying, Sakazuki swore as she pushed her body onward. Even if her fighting style allowed her to surpass her limits, it didn't exactly give her super speed. She'd need to figure out a way to get into range to assist her... And fast. In the darkness however, she felt her foot collide with something hard, she assumed it to be an exposed tree root, as her body was sent splashing into a puddle... One that had probably formed from a rain earlier in the day. She was on the verge of swearing however, when she paused, feeling the liquid soak into her.

On second thought... She could use this.

Rising to her feet, she utilized the Jelly Hand technique, allowing the liquid to once again solidify into a jellied form as she started forward once again, her arm swinging forward, and then the Jelly Hand did as an extension of the limb, moving to where she suspected Liese would fall.

Even if the strings would slow her fall, hopefully the Jelly Hand would cushion it completely.

===

Gazing at the two girls, Shuku soon realized that she really had nothing else to say to either of them... Especially not to Mei, seeing as the girl was already preparing to board a train to La La Land. So instead of speaking any more, she lay her own head down to rest, slowly pulling her own blanket over her body, which had suddenly felt rather heavy, especially her chest...

Perhaps she was just tired?

Honehime noticed that Shuku was preparing to go to sleep as well. She stifled another yawn, feeling the slow approach of the sandman herself. She shook her head a little, and gathered her blanket around her shoulders, before moving to a sitting position. Even though none of them had talked about it, she had finally remembered what she had forgotten before. If they should have someone stand watch. After all, just because they were so close to the Academy, that was no guarantee they would be safe, would it?

Lieselotte felt her strings wrap around various tree branches and other parts of the scenery, but she was still moving far too fast. She tried to brace for impact, but instead she collided with a soft, slightly squishy thing. In the darkness she couldn't tell what it was, so she tried to struggle against it, trying to free herself in a panic. Almost inaudible from her thrashing and the sounds of the snake, the continual clickety-clack of puppet joints grew a little bit louder, as Elfriede had almost reached the fray, even with no legs.

Mei looked at the campfire for a while longer, before she began to get tired of it. The fire was interesting, sure, but it was just repetitive enough for her to begin to get bored and even more sleepier than she already was. She rolled back onto her back, and snuggled a little more under the leafy blanket, before closing her eyes. Almost immediately, she was asleep, snoring softly, the faint sounds of 'moo' being uttered every few moments. Her tail was sticking out of the edge of the blanket, twitching slightly as well. But overall, it was obvious that she was already deep asleep.

The Prince sat and watched the teacher going on. when they finally got to go out and try some of the techniques they had been learning he felt excited. the Prince got up last and tightened his large scarf completely covering his face. the two colors of scarf twirled together around his head made some of the people around him seem to laugh. the whole time he walked about listening to the laughter, his right hand sat upon the hilt of his ancient sword he had obtained through grave robbing. he went to the training fields, where he could practice whatever he chose.

"Quit your struggling, it's just me..."

Sakazuki's voice was quiet then as her outline appeared beside Lieselotte, though the sound of panting and the Circe's heaving chest turned out to be proof enough that the girl was trying to gather her breath. The sticky, jelly substance that had clung to Lieselotte's form then dripped away, turning into water the moment Sakazuki cut off her ties with the jellified hand as she looked in the direction of the snake... Or at least in the direction where she had last heard it.

The moon had shrouded the area in front of her in shadows once more... Though a new sound caught her attention, a familiar clicking.

"...The 'Barbie's' here?"

Shuku was just about to drift off to sleep, her blurred gaze resting upon the other girls that rested across of her. Yet, this was interrupted as one of those said girls sat up suddenly, causing the illusionist to get up as well, more out of concern than curiousity or insomnia. She rubbed her eyes for a moment, then looked at the girl that still appeared awake.

"...Something wrong, Honehime-san?"

Honehime had just begun to settle into a comfortable position when Shuku called out to her. Raising her head to look at the Mayonaka, she shook her head, then answered verbally. "No, nothing's wrong. I realized no one would be standing guard, so I'll take the first shift. Do you mind taking the second?" She raised her head a bit further and looked out into the dark of the woods. The others still had not returned. She hadn't felt any ill omens, and she knew they were reasonably strong, so she wasn't too worried. If they hadn't returned by morning, that would be cause to worry.

When she heard who it was that had caught her, Lieselotte stopped struggling, and dropped nimbly to the ground when the odd thing had turned back into water. She was just about to thank the Circe when she identified Elfriede's arrival by calling her a Barbie. The words of thanks died in her throat, and she just made a slight growl in her throat, before refocusing on the snake. They could argue and bicker later, right now there were bigger things to worry about. Much bigger. Elfriede arrived a moment later, and she readied herself to fight. This wouldn't be easy, they might not even win. But what choice did they have?

Mei was already sound asleep. If only the others could see the fanciful, nonsensical world that was her dreams. They could not be described in mere words, and for such a ditzy girl, they showed a surprisingly high imagination. Or perhaps it was precisely because she was so ditzy? Either way it was all very surreal, with the rivers flowing up into the sky, the waving of the grass in the cinnamon-scented wind creating voices that told bad jokes. the trees were actually chocolate, and the ground itself was made of rubber. And there she sat, in her dream world, casually playing a... trombone? The large brass instrument looked out of place, and no matter how hard she tried, no sound could be heard from it. Her cheeks puffed up and turned red as she blew into it, but still, no sound.

Princess Elika had left the lowly prince, hoping to find someone to teach her of anything she needed to know. she smirked as she wlaked around. she had gotten outside to watch some people doing techniques. she watched several people try some of the techniques over and over again failing. she soon turned her attention to a fight that was just starting a ways off. she began to watch wondering what idiots would start a fight in an academy. she had to say idiot. there fighting, just having been out of sight, was the unknown prince.

The Prince had walked out to the fields to check out some of the techniques that they practiced, he knew that he most likely wouldn't have found anything around there. he soon found his way out to the fields and saw several people trying some techniques which he quickly took interest in. he wandered up behind them and started to watch them. he knew he would have some problems with these people. he just seemed to have one of those faces. the people were practicing the clone technique. they soon turned to see the prince chuckling slightly whenever they would fail. he watched them and soon they turned to watching him. his hand was always on the end of the hilt of his sword. he stared at them a little shocked that they were now coming up to him. "you, what are you laughing about?" what seemed to be the leader of the group had said questioningly. he was a rough looking person, this person made the Prince wonder. "how hard could this moron be." he thought he was thinking, but he was speaking out loud instead. the person looked at him. irritation in his eyes. The prince smiled as he drew his sword in his right hand, and held his left hand out, the gauntlet and sword shining a sturdy gold plating covering the outside of the gauntlet and handle of the sword. the Prince looked as the other person grabbed a katana from his back and looked at him with his own cocky attitude. "well, not very impressive, where did you get that? a pawn shop?" the prince said taunting him. the guy now charged and swung the sword in rage. the prince held his sword out and blocked the blow with a clang. instantly the person fell back an inch, and the unnamed prince quickly parried and on, smacking the sword back further, and further. in a matter of seconds the person had fallen over, "i think i was right." the prince said with a laugh as the guy stood backup and swung, the prince moved to the side, slammed his sword down right over top of the guys sword. he quickly thrust his left hand at the guys chest, grabbing him, and lifting him up a bit. he then tossed him back. The Prince was pleased, but he had one thing left to do. he turned back to his sword and stepped on the backside of the blade.it instantly dug into the other guys sword and snapped it in half. he quickly pulled it out of the ground and wiped it off. he set it in its sheath. he then turned to see Princess Elika standing right there. "ready to go?" he said with a laugh.

The growl went unnoticed by Sakazuki, who was now attempting to spot the serpent in the shadows. Yet, at the moment, she was doing so much more than that as she took a deep breath, her hand clenching into a tight fist as she engaged her Muscle Toning Skill as well. Though she wouldn't be able to use her little jelly tricks any more, she would be able to use her brute strength to fend off the snake... Or at least some of it's attacks as she exhaled finally, eyes that had been once closed now slowly opening.

"...Would it be too much to ask from you to give me an opening at that scaly b*****d?"

Even if her fists were probably unable to break through the snake's skills, the witch had no doubt that a well place magical blast would pierce his skull... Yet, with the serpent in constant movement and the veil of darkness curtaining his whereabouts... That was easier said than done.

===

Listening to the girl for a moment, Shuku suddenly found herself shaking her head. "...I would very much prefer if I took first," she answered quietly as she smiled tiredly. "A child needs her sleep after all... While a person like me, a beauty sleep would do me no good!" she said in a joking, yet rather bitter tone as she sat up again, pulling her blanket around her.

Honehime looked over to Shuku once again when the Mayonaka said that she would rather take the first watch. It didn't matter much to the Kaguya who took which shift. She could take the second without a problem, it worked as well as any other. She glanced down at the softly snoring Mei, realizing that it would likely be better if they didn't even try to make the cow girl take a turn. So instead, she relented, and did the math. Nodding to Shuku, she replied. "I may disagree on the beauty sleep part, but very well. I shall awaken in four hours. Good night." With that, she returned to her mattress, laying down, covering up, and folding her arms over her chest. Her breathing slowed almost immediately, and she was asleep, too.

Lieselotte felt better about the battle with the enormous serpent now that Elfriede was here to help. Her side still hurt from the tail strike, but she would press on! When Sakazuki asked if she could distract the beast, she sighed, it looked like she would be the decoy twice, at the least. She nodded, then vocally answered. "Alright. But I do not plan on doing zis again, so make sure to 'andle your side of zings!" She rushed off into the dark, in the direction she thought the snake was. Her eyes still hadn't fully adjusted, but she had other senses, senses honed from years as an assassin, killing in darkness. The sounds of the snake filled the air, and she narrowed down it's location, until she found it. With Elfriede leading the way, she prepared to attack.

Mei continued to dream, her mind awash in a sea of oddities and weirdness. In the real world, she shifted a little, before moving onto her side and snuggling into a new, more comfortable position. Her tail swished a bit more until she calmed down again, and then she was deep within her dreams again. These dreams had virtually nothing to do with the first, save the sheer surreality of them. This time, she was in a room filled with giant books. It was scary, because none of the books had any pictures in them! She ran around in a panic, until she hit one of the books. Which fell, knocking into the next, and the next, making the books act much like dominoes. Then she was floating above them. No, she was swimming in a giant fish tank. No, the fish were swimming, she was floating on top of the lake, with an umbrella. But it wasn't raining.

Feydaken

PostPosted: Thu Apr 02, 2009 9:29 pm

Sitting on a log by a lake about a mile away from his village thinking to himself what technique he would be learning today? the reason for this being that today is his first day of training. He really doesn't know much about his teacher only that she is a women around the age of 30 and that people compared her personality to that of a teenagers. He knows very little about her build
but judging by the reactions of the young men when he asked about her she is how one might say "Hot."

Walking up with a slight grin on her face "Hey, you must be Feydaken right?"

He slowly picks his head up and answers "Why yes I am and who might you be?"

She smiles and says "Kusabana Migoto"

She directs her attention to his eye patch then quickly looks away in fear of being noticed.

He sees that she is interested about his eyes patch and politely asks "Would you like to know what happened?" pointing to where his right eye used to be.

Her face turning red out of embarrassment "I already know what happened your considered a hero for what you did"

Quickly changing the subject "I presume your my teacher?"

"Yes..yes I am" She says with a slight grin on her face

"Well the teacher what technique will I be learning today?" He says with great enthusiasm

Se looks at the sky blankly while tapping her chin "let me think what would be a good technique to learn for a beginner technique?"

Her eyes widen with excitement as she says "Henge no Jutsu..This technique allows the ninja to transform themselves into any person or object"

With a bit of sarcasm in his voice "Well it wasn't what I was expecting but I guess it will have to do"

She shows him the hand signs and for the next 4 hours he practices he fails more times than he can count but that doesn't stop him from trying his hardest. After a few more hours of practice he finally succeeds in using the Henge no Jutsu technique.

Dante was lead far away from the class room by this new instructor. behind them, as they moved away from the classroom, a quite audible sound of sighs in relief could be heard from the students in the room he just left. Dante smiled to himself as he continued moving with the instructor who still has not said anything to Dante. They left the main building of the academy and continued to walk. They walked through the front gates and into the woods outside g the village. They continued to walk in silence and at this point Dante was beginning to feel confused.

They continued to walk through the woods for a few minutes. It was a decent amount of time since they had seen the academy when the instructor finally stopped. Dante was so used to walking that he nearly walked into the instructor when he stopped.

"Oh hush now little Mizz Lieze... You have your little doll now. Und ze initial prey haz found safety, I think."

Now that was two things that had now fallen into their favor... So playing the role of the 'distraction' shouldn't be too hard for the puppeteer now. Besides, all she required now was one clear shot as she began to whispered something under her breath before a glow formed within her clenched fist, yet she didn't dare open her hand. Not yet... She would need the serpent to be in clear view before she would release the killing blow. As Lieselotte moved one way then, she moved, running parallel of marionette wielder.

If she was the distraction, Sakazuki had intended herself to be the battering ram.

As Honehime spoke, Shuku only smiled slightly before she rose to her feet, stepping towards the fireplace, pausing from her destination only to ruffle the girl's hair briefly. "Just get to bed," she required softly. Even her tone however, could not hide her weary fatigue as she sat finally in front of the burning flame, occasionally looking over her shoulder towards the squirming form that was the cowgirl.

Honehime smiled softly when Shuku rustled her hair and told her to just go to sleep. Shifting slightly under her blanket, she did just that. Her breathing slowed to a steady rhythm, her hands rising and falling on her chest at the same time. A few of the lines of worry that had seemed etched on her face permanently had faded now that she wasn't busy comparing her body to the others', or wondering about the future, or any of the other rather heavy thinking she had made into a habit.

Lieselotte had continued to move into the dark forest, starting to slow down from her initial rush. She'd have to, in order to be able to focus her hearing enough to try to pinpoint the snake. Moving almost silently, she advanced, turning her head this way and that, filtering out the sounds of Elfriede clacking along in front of her. And then she froze for an instant, as she found the snake. Or rather, it found her. With a loud hiss, it darted forward, directly at her. She leaped back, Elfriede moving in the opposite direction.

Mei's odd dreams continued, in that odd distortion of time that was only possible in the land of dreams. It felt like she had been dreaming for days, weeks even. But in fact it had only been about five minutes. And of course, she wouldn't remember any of them for more than a handful of seconds upon awakening. But for the here and now, she was well within the realm of sleep, seeing things that had never been seen, doing things that weren't even possible. In the real world, she murmured a little, and shifted again, before almost sitting up as her dream actually reached a particularly exciting point. Her voice only half slurred from being asleep, she called out three words, then fell back to the mattress, calming down and returning to a deep sleep once more. Those three words were 'Spinach laser activate!'

The _ Light

PostPosted: Sat Apr 04, 2009 1:40 pm

Hikaru sat at camp, wolfing down the hot ramen that Iruka-sensei had prepared for them. After all the hard work they had done that day, he was bone tired. “Mmmf, yum yum, mmff!! Good! So Iruka-sensei, what are we doing tomorrow?” Hikaru asked around his mouthful of pork and noodles. “Well Hikaru, we are going to master the Tree climbing technique first of all.” Iruka-sensei said. ‘My god, I’ve never seen anyone other than Naruto ever eat like that. Man, that kid has an appetite, and he’s not even six yet. I hope our food lasts,’ he thought. “Well Hikaru, you better get to bed. We rise first thing tomorrow morning.” “Okay Iruka-sensei!” Hikaru replied.

Next morning, Hikaru was woken up fast by Iruka sensei when it was still dark outside. Rubbing his eyes, Hikaru followed Iruka-sensei out, grabbing some rice cakes for the walk. After an hour of meditation, they took a two hour hike to the middle of the forest. The robins chirped in the trees above, as the first pale shafts of light struck the ground. It truly was a great sight. What was fascinating was that the trees were huge at the middle of the forest. Looking up, Hikaru estimated that they were at least 300 feet. “Iruka-sensei, you said we were going to climb trees right?” His teacher smiled. “Yes Hikaru, but don’t be scared. By the end of today, I’m sure that you will be able to climb any of these trees. Rather, I should say that you will be able to walk up any of them.” “Really?” Hikaru asked. “That would be great! But, how do we do it?” Iruka-sensei gestured to a patch of grass in the clearing. “Have a seat, and I’ll explain.”

“In this exercise, the user must gather chakra at the bottoms of the feet, and then walk up a tree as if it were ground. Be careful, the bottoms of your feet are the hardest place to gather chakra in. But, if you master this, you can mold your chakra anywhere. If you have gathered too much chakra you will break the tree and be thrown in the opposite direction. With too little chakra, you will also fall. However, with the correct amount the user will actually stick to the tree. But, this is just the first step. Doing this for a matter of seconds is the easy part, but sustaining it for minutes, or even hours is the true test. So, do you think you can handle it?” Iruka-sensei asked. “I’ll definitely try!” Hikaru replied. “Give it my best!” With that, he began to concentrate. Hikaru felt his chakra flowing through his body through the chakra veins located inside him. Since he had the Shirogan, he had the ability to concentrate on the chakra gates inside his body and thus it was easier for him to manipulate his chakra to areas of his body. Slowly but surely he began to mold the chakra at his feet. Using his affinity, his chakra began to pool around his feet. However, Hikaru didn’t want to lose control, so he kept it invisible, but tightly leashed around his feet.

With his eyes closed, Hikaru stepped on to on of the tree trunks. Barely noticing that his foot remained there as if attached by superglue, Hikaru repeated the same thing with his other foot, becoming perpendicular to the ground. Now all he had to do was walk. Slowly lifting up his right leg, he placed it in forward of his left, and then repeated it with his left foot. As he became more confident, he found that he could walk quite easily up the tree, and after a few tries, he found that the molding almost came naturally. Pretty soon, Hikaru was running up and down the tree, even hanging upside down from the topmost branch, laughing.
