Talon glanced at her at the mention of his children and shook his head slowly. "No, they all died by the mother within the first 3 years of life. The mothers unable to handle them or they were afraid, plus they were alone, and the human mothers didn't know what to do to teach the necessary lessons and what punishment to give to ensure their cooperation. I have only been able to be there for 5 of my many children, but while I was gone during hunting, each of their mothers, took the opportunity to rid them."
At her next question, Talon was careful to answer. "They pretty much act like any normal child when around their parents, but should they be left alone, havoc will occur. One city can be sucked dry by one child within 2 hours. They have never ending hunger when not fed properly by the father or mother, they cannot feed from any other vampire, human or animal or they will go insane and will have to die by the parents hands. However, when it is just the parents and the child alone without prying eyes, the child won't be sweet and cuddly, but more like a teenager, a rebel and always getting into trouble. You do not have to worry your mind with what punishment the child will receive. I will handle that as I am more in tune with my instincts and I have the knowledge required of such things.
However, I must say this now. Do not, under any circumstances, after a punishment, show love to the child for 2 hours. It will use that to the advantage when I am away as they grow older and it will drive you just as crazy as the previous women. We are prepared for the child, I will take care of you both through these important stages and still be able to concentrate on guiding you in our ways and strengthening our bond."

Echo looked down, feeling sorrow for the children, she didnt know what could drive a mother to harm their own children. Echo was glad that she asked about the child though. she had been expecting a calm sleepy infant, not what Talon was telling her. she could tell that it would be work taking care of the child but she didnt mind that. Echo knew that being a newborn would be hard too beforehand, and she knew it would be ok if she had help.
Echo frowned, "That's going to be hard Talon." Echo said being honest, she wasnt usually harsh to people because she didnt want to feel like her father. He was cruel and Echo was afraid of ever being near that, she knew how many people mimicked their parents. It was the reason she tried to be kind, unless the person hit a sore note of course, but even then she was only mildy sarcastic or rude.

"Would you rather I keep it away from you for those two hours?" Talon asked raising unbelieving eyebrows at her. "I know how to do this Echo, I just need you to believe and trust in me."

Kaida frowned. "Guess not..." She said. Finally moving her body she let herself crawl partially onto his lap, but not fully incase he was still mad and cold.

Echo looked down, scrunching up her eyebrows, and having a sorrowful look. "I dont know Talon, I do believe in you. I trust you more than gravity. I just dont know if I can do that, I didnt even get a kind remark from my father. I dont think I can do that because I'm scared of being even close to how he was." She wiped off her face, Echo hadnt ever brought up her home situation on her own before.

Talon sighed and kissed her forehead. "Hush, calm down. We'll talk some more later. We still have time before its born." he told her softly, hoping to comfort her. Still a ways away from the house, Talon sat down, settling her across his lap. He waited for her to settle down before he spoke again. "Echo, tell me what your father is like. What he does for a living."
Kale held her softly. "You're not still mad at me are you?" came his soft statement, looking at the fireplace he had going.

Echo took a deep breath, forcing herself to relax before she almed down. She nodded when Talon brought up that they had time before it was born. He was right. Echo looked at Talon trying to find the righ twords to describe her father. "He was a mechanic, but collected and sold things like blades and crossbows. It was a sparetime hobby. He.... was disappointed when I was born. I think he wanted a kid who could work with him. Mother said he was against drinking when they were first together. I just know him as the person to avoid at all cost, my mom tried to keep me out of the way. He was always angry when I was near him. My father 'punished' me alot, for stumbling over a book left out, for using my cane around him, for hurting myself when I didnt catch myself after being pushed out of the way. He wasnt happy, but mother always said he was the sweetest person when they were together, when she was pregnant he was the one trying to make sure everything was perfect, he stressed more than she did." Echo was quiet, not having much else to say.

Mad wasn't the word, because Kaida felt like she deserved it. Scared? Perhaps that was more like it; his control over her was greater than she imaged. Some part of her wanted to scream at him while others wanted to hold him forever. She felt so alone, mainly because her mind was her own. Kale had yet to unblock his mind, so Kaida was left to her own thoughts and could not get into Kale's. She missed him very much; much preferring to speak within the mind rather than words out of the mouth. With a sigh she let her head rest on his shoulder. "I don't know what I am right now. Are you upset with me...?" She asked slowly, feeling mentally exhausted. Her eyes turned lazily to the fireplace that he had set up, watching the flames lick each other and the wood burn down. She swallowed a bit and then shuddered. The taste in her mouth, it was atrocious. It was the taste of animals and Talon and water and... not Kale. It wasn't at all appitizing to her, and she knew she would die a little inside if he made her drink like that again. That whole seen was forever burned in her mind as terrible, and the words Talon had said were beyond hurtful. She was just... tired.

Talon listened and when she finished he thought for a moment. "What is his name? What does he look like?"
Kale sighed and shook his head. "No, but I do get frustrated. You always end up eluding me, speaking to my lust for you almost too easily. I'm just a sucker for your charm is all. So as you sleep, I work on the bond, strengthening it bit by bit, but it wears me out by morning. Thats why I always end up sleeping in late."

Kaida just nodded, unsure of what to say. That was why she promised she would not go for him unless he needed it, and she was going to keep that promise whether he thought she could or not.

Echo looked slightly confused, "I dont know what he looked like Talon. His name was Alexander Steel. He didnt want me to have his last name." Echo said simply, before it could become a possible question.
