Kumizu ignored his physical features or the fact that he bowed to Ayise. He just sneered. "Just try it. You'll be lucky if you get my hand." 'Elli' didn't scare him. Fangs were rather common in... never mind.
Kumizu was ready to stab him with the cane when Ayise squealed excitedly. He put his cane down and leaned against, smiling. He wasn't going to let his guard down, but this man seemed completely paranoid. "Nice to meet you," he said sourly. "What do you want?"

"You want to try me you little br-" He paused seeing Ayise look up at him, "Yes, my Lady don't I always bring you something when I come to see you?" He asked coyly, pulling a small box out of his pocket, "You can't open it until you get back though, okay? I've been working at keeping the group together not to mention your family's estate. Tsubaki is very ill. I don't expect her to live another two months." He rubbed the bridge of his nose, "It was as the doctor said, My sister wasn't going to live to reach her teen years." He said it as if he were speaking of the weather, "Didn't we agree to leave your mother out of private affairs between us and the group?"
"My lady, I wanted to bring you news of Manoru's death." He said calmly.

"You two play nice." She said in a scolding tone, standing between the two men, she placed her hands on her hips to show them she wasn't joking. Of course until she recieved a gift from Elli and his news of their friend's death.
Her face froze in place, "What happened? Manoru wasn't ill or was he..." She paused, he wasn't telling her something, "Who killed Manoru?" She demanded. There was no way it had been an accident. Manoru was a peace-seeking type. he wouldn't have gone picking a fight and as for car crashes and such their kind were impervious to deaths of those kind.
"Well?" She looked tense, giving Elliot the blank look reserved for official matters.

Kumizu still felt... uneasy, to put it nicely, but also knew that Ayise could handle herself. He also knew he would kick this guy's a** if it came to that. Of course, if Ayise trusted Elliot, then he would stay calm.
All their talk of family and illnesses and deaths rather bored Kumizu. He'd heard all of the teary-eyed stories before and witnessed deaths in manners he didn't think were possible. He wasn't apathetic; this was Ayise, but there wasn't exactly anything for him to say.

"I did. And you already know why." Elliot leaned down and whispered something into her ear, "-And no one gets away with that my Lady Draconia." He said in a smooth voice, "But now that that's out of the way I've been meaning to talk to you. Do some catching up. I also need you to come to the lab, I think I have a better medicine for you." He said his eyes wandering through the darkness.
Elliot glanced at her, the look of horror still hadn't left her face. He sighed, "Relax. It was only because he broke the first rule, Saviossss La Princesse." He said with a vague sadistic smile. "So, I'll make sure to stay in contact with you. Maybe we'll have tea the next time I'm free."

"Y-You you're so..." It made sense, Elliot had followed the rules but...it had never crossed her mind that Elliot might hurt anyone. And it bothered her, he seemed...happy. She tried to focus on what he was saying to her. But another thought crept into her mind, Tsubaki wasn't that ill the last time she'd seen her. Elliot was the best doctor anywhere, if he'd kept his sister healthy until now, what had happened?
"Yes, Elliot-senpai." She stepped back and tripped over a root, crashing to the ground. "Ow. I'm okay." She scrambled to her feet. "Then I'll see you later?" She wondered if he was through, she knew he was busy. And he had started to un-nerve her. Maybe it was because it was so dark. She couldn't quite see him or his expressions...lack of...

Rules? What the hell are they talking about? As much as he didn't want to, Kumizu bit his tongue. Jumping in and asking questions got you nowhere, it was best to shut up and listen.
He stepped closer to Ayise once he noticed that look of horror. What's wrong? Kumizu figured she'd be listening, and if this man heard it too... oh well.
Ayise tried to talk but ended up sounding as if she obeyed a command. Kumizu needed to know who the hell this guy was, but if he said he was leaving, no good reason to stop him. Instead, he grabbed Ayise and helped her up.

"Wait." Elliot paused, and allowed her to regain her composure. He walked over to her and kissed her hand, "Farewell but-...My Lady, if you'll allow me to speak with your companion for but a moment." He said standing close to her, "Surely you would not object?" He asked. Without waiting for her to respond he rubbed her head and stepped back to wait for Kumizu to follow him.
His face set into a expressionless mask.

Ayise stepped back and nodded her head. Glancing at Kumizu she wondered what needed to be said that she couldn't hear, but she wasn't about to question it. She was tired and confused and a little sad.
A dear friend of hers had been killed by another.
And by Elliot of all people. It just seemed a bit...off.
She leaned against a tree and waited for them to come back as they leftv her alone in her thoughts.

Kumizu stiffened a bit as Elliot kissed Ayise's hand, but it was just a reaction he felt when someone got close to those he cared about. It wasn't the first time he'd done it.
Kumizu, too, put a calm expression on his face, but it was all he could do to keep from laughing. He could already guess what the 'talk' would be about. Elliot would give him a list of things he 'better not do' or face death. Then he'd make some remark about always watching them and walk away. At the very least, he'd mention some idle threats. Might as well get this over with. He remained calm as he walked with Elliot. Not even a hint of sarcasm came from his voice when he said, "What would you like to talk about?"

Elliot paused before he spoke, "No idle threats, and there will be no, watching. At least I could care less about what happens to you. As her appointed guardian I wanted to offer you a word of caution. I cannot tell her what to do or who to associate herself with as she is of a higher station. Just...don't do anything that will cause her to be...hurt." He said quietly so only Kumizu could hear, "I do not believe you are familar with our customs and I am not of a mind to give her heart to you." He stood up straight and gave a faint smirk, "Though she may not know it, that summon she recieved from her mother announces her engagement to me. Better than Chiron-yes?" He stuck his hands into his pockets, "Do keep tht a secret from the Lady, I'd rather it be a surprise."

Kumizu had to admit, he was surprised by his words. Not the telepathy, of course. I really need to be careful about what I think around these people... don't answer that. "I haven't hurt her yet and I make sure she isn't. You don't have to worry about that." Yes, he knew about the arranged marriages, but if Elliot thought he didn't, why not play naïve? "As for the giving her heart to me... I hadn't thought about marriage. And I assumed I'd need permission from her father before going ahead. If I have to ask you, does that mean you're her dad? Because I don't think I could come to the wedding." Of course he realized the seriousness, he just didn't care. His main concern was keeping Ayise safe, and right now that meant getting him out of here... or focused enough on Kumizu that she could get away if things got out of hand.

Elliot tilted his head in a way Ayise often did, she'd probably learned it from him. "Oh, no, no, no. Her father is long gone. Much like our dear friend Manoru he broke a very basic rule. And therefore he had to pay." Elliot looked at Kumizu as if he were a bug, "Marry Lady Ayise? You? Don't insult her, our kind do not marry into those who are beneath us." he said coolly. "The descion is made by our council. I was the one deemed a best match for her. Enjoy what time you may get with her, or lack of. You don't seem to be too bright, you endanger our Lady every minute you remain with her. It won't be much longer." He said looking again in Ayise direction, he stared into the darkness. "I'll take my leave now." He turned his back and sauntered off into the dark woods.

"A very basic rule, huh?" Kumizu laughed when Elliot said he was a danger to Ayise. "Oh come now, that's the best insult for me you've got? I'm 'not too bright'?" But Elliot was gone. He still chuckled and shook his head. Even his father had come up with better ones.
Once he returned to Ayise, Kumizu's face returned to its normal, calm expression. Before she could ask, he simply said, "I don't think Elliot likes me. He thinks you're better off staying away from me."

"Un? What do you mean Kumi? Elliot-senpai isn't like that. I'm sure he didn't mean it as it sounded. He's...never been too good with words." She said in a bright voice, "Don't take it personally, Elliot-senpai isn't very social." She said walking next to Kumizu, her face seemed happy but the death of her friend seemed to bother her.
"Let's go home, Kumi-chan." She said brightly. Skipping to a song only she could hear. She fiddled with the box Elliot gave her, he didn't want her to open it out here so she wanted to hurry to her room so she would be able to.
